Why no sale for directors cut? I wanted to pick up 1, 2, and 3 for my Vita, but can’t justify the $10 for 1 when 2 abs 3 are less than $2 each!

So no new PS2 games since pretty much January 19th (except for Puzzle quest challenge of the warlords which nobody really wanted or asked for) that’s 49 days until we MIGHT get maybe 1 new PS2 game. Why even have start projects if you are not committed? Not only do you charge $15 for the same port, but you released 1 game in the past 50 days practically. (it will be 49 days March 8th 2016) Wake up sony, seriously its embarrassing. Your spring sales so far look BORING and stupid repeats of the same damn franchises. (GTA, Assassins Creed, Tom Clancy, Lego, Call of Duty, Naughty Dog, Metal Gear) and you so far don’t give ANY discount to PS PLUS members and think $5 off Resident Evil 0 is a reasonable mark down. I honestly don’t know if the top guys there are on drugs, but this is pissing a lot of people off. If you think people will be happy with 2 months of planned repeat sales then think again Sony. What a slap in the face for those that buy PS PLUS for discounts on games. The only sales that are decent are Flash sales, and yes you have had great sales in the past, but ill be damned if I wait every week just to see pathetic sales for the next 2 months.

    NekoRave said:

    March 1st, 9:22 pm

I mean on top of that a total disregard for Vita fans, PS PLUS members, PS2 port buyers, and every gamer looking forward to new exciting sales in March. Usually I look HIGHLY forward to March sales, and now I have to wait until May to HOPE for a decent sale, or HOPE for a 99 cent flash sale in March. You guys REALLY need to get it together. I am not threatening or saying (I will switch to Xbox) because I like both Xbox and Playstation. I am just saying what the absolute hell was this sale? Like oh boy I cant wait until Call of Duty gives me $6 off Call of Duty Ghosts.

You guys can’t be serious. Please for the love of god, release more PS2 ports, I really don’t care what you want to release so long as most people want those games (Castlevania, Final Fantasy, SSX, Rampage, Timesplitters, Mega Man X) to name a few. Just stop letting me down this entire 2016. I am actually losing interest in looking diligently for good sales. If you plan to have a franchise sale, at LEAST give a discount to PS PLUS members, and don’t act like $5 off is worth putting up on your sale since its quite irritating for people like myself to see.

    Sincerely,
    A hopeful consumer

@NekoRave I highly doubt Sony will even listen to us all. You see, unlike Microsoft (that I’m not a big fan of) and Nintendo (that I started with and will always be a fan of), Sony (that I now regret liking and being a fan of) only cares about money more than their fans, especially the ones who are loyal to Sony and the ones who defend Sony. At least Microsoft is giving their fans who are subscribing members, interesting AAA titles for free, Sony won’t do it. At least Microsoft is giving their fans more Xbox 360 games to play on the Xbox One and have disc support. Sony won’t do the same with PS2 games on PS4. And at least Nintendo allows their fans, who already own the Virtual Console games on the regular Wii, get them on the Wii U for small upgrade fee. Sony won’t do the same with PS2 games on PS4. I’m starting to believe that this is the start of Sony’s demise.

@NekoRave People like you want too much, and you want too much too often.

@gameman15 “I’m starting to believe that this is the start of Sony’s demise.”

The PS4 sales numbers would like to talk to you. You have bad logic.

And, stop exaggerating about Microsoft’s Games with Gold. They don’t give away AAA titles.

Except in both of those scenarios, Microsoft and Nintendo are only going back one generation. You’re expecting Sony to go back two generations. That’s not comparable. What would be comparable is expecting Nintendo to let you use Gamecube discs in the Wii U, and for Microsoft to support OG Xbox games (like the original Fable) on the Xbox One. Guess what? Neither of them do this.

I mean no offense for this, but stop speaking for everyone. As a Vita fan, a PS Plus member, and a gamer looking forward to exciting sales, I do not feel ‘disregarded’.

I’m not going to say these sales are hugely appealing to me, but there are a lot of games that could be a part of these franchises that, price dependent, I may jump on.

The Naughty Dog sale, specifically, has a few remakes/remasters that I’d love to own, but can’t justify at the price they are currently since I already own the original game and my money isn’t unlimited.

Also, I’m sure there are quite a few people who were thrilled by the re-release of puzzle quest.

You are just one person. You’re welcome to share your feedback, but stop trying to speak for more than yourself. Share your feedback as you. For that is the only person you can speak for.

    GunnerFCm said:

    March 2nd, 9:26 am

On a lighter note, when I read that, I thought “Ooh, Puzzle Quest was re-released? How did I miss that?” and am now googling to find out more! Thanks for the heads-up! :) :)

    NekoRave said:

I know many people are apologists and suffer from Sony Stockholm Syndrome, however I stand firmly by my statements.

Vita owners all wanted Sony to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the product and they really didn’t do it.

Its a complete disregard for a vast majority of fans and I am speaking for those that are either too afraid to make statements, or don’t bother posting on this site.

Resident Evil 0 being literally $4 off is a major disregard to PS PLUS owners. Thats actually a fact. Thats not debatable.

Ps2 port buyers that are unhappy with pathetic releases like Puzzle Quest, and at the rate of one game for 50 days.

In 2 years at this rate you can expect 10-12 games.

So NO most people DID NOT want this game out of the thousands of games on PS2.

    thats also a blatant fact.

    NekoRave said:

    March 2nd, 5:45 pm

If you want to be defending Sony based on what they have done you are completely 100% a part of the problem.

I am not going to say EVERYONE hates these sales, because sure there are people that think $4 off a $20 game with no ps plus discount is a sale.

Sure theres vita owners that really dont care what sony does eith their product.

Sure theres fans that want bad PS2 games and would buy whatever sony puts out.

I am speaking for the people that are likeminded and share my perspective.

Not everyone appreciates what Sony is doing, and I represent the vast majority of people that share my viewpoints.

Quit defending Sony, they are clearly taking advantage of consumers at this point.

    Wake up people, seriously.

    SilentNova said:

    March 3rd, 4:47 pm

in this case Vita really was not forgotten. Resident Evil Revelations 2 which got a port to Vita mostly because of Sony, is on sales for $18.79 or roughly that amount. Plus Resident Evil 2 and 3 both work on Vita and also are on sale for less than $2.

The reason people have been defending Sony is overall they have been the best to customers in most situations. They really started the buying one copy being allowed to work on multiple platforms. On top of that they started the account share, but limited it multiple times thanks to people abusing it. On PS3 it worked for 4 consoles originally, but now only two and on PS4 it can be only shared with one extra account as long as the Master Console is the one that is being shared.

They also started the Instant Game Collection and people complain that they do not get the titles they wanted. When they put a larger variety of games up people complain that the games are anime games, or indie games, or the games they put on sale are too old and begged for the AAA games to go on sale. Now they are going to get that even though they had been already.

    SilentNova said:

    March 3rd, 4:47 pm

The point is people are always going to complain. When you do get the sales they are never enough and if you do not get the sales you complain about it. All have all the current consoles and the grass is darker on the other sides. Xbox One is running out of titles essientally to give away in comparison since they do not have as many titles overall. The only reason they are promoting BC, something they are only slightly doing, is because they have fewer exclusives. Nintendo even defended why are their titles can stay at $59.99 on the Nintendo e-shop and why they do not believe in lowering prices.

You amy not agree with everything Sony does, but they really are not that bad.

Mercenary09 said:

So does this mean PlayStation isn’t doing the yearly Spring Fever promotion this year? Normally we’d see these franchise sales included in that. Major disappointment if you gave up on that promotion as it has been a tradition for years now.

Very bad idea for a sale. If you don’t like RE games so there’s nothing for you. And this will last 8 weeks? Come on! And always same games. Like two weeks ago, there was a GTA sale for example.

    AizawaYuuichi said:

    March 2nd, 1:10 am

This isn’t necessarily the only sale they’ll have. They’ve run multiple sales at the same time before. This is simply a franchise sale. They will still have sales and price drops/changes with each weekly update. They will probably still have flash sales on occasional weekends. And I’m hoping, like Mercenary09 brought up, that they’ll also run a Spring Fever event later this month, as they’ve done in the past.
Besides, look at the bright side. If you don’t like the sale items, YOU SAVE MONEY! THAT’S A GOOD THING!

This is garbage. Every week these franchises are on sale. You couldn’t even give these games away at this points because either people bought them during one of the thousands of times they were already on sale or people just don’t want them. Come us with something new for once Sony!

Welmosca said:

Jarek23 said:

I don’t see this as a good thing.

We get franchise and publisher sales ALL THE TIME.

Ubisoft, 2K, EA, Rockstar etc. constantly rotate in and out of sales each week. The different being is that those sales also include a bunch of other random games. Going by this weeks sale where it’s mostly Resident Evil stuff, the next 2 months of sales will be the same.

How is this different than what we usually get? other than less random games, and more of the same.

Fuhr31 said:

March 2nd, 12:43 pm

Wouldn’t it be great if you could watch the movies you bought anywhere you like, on the devices of your choosing. Meh, until then, there are plenty of better movie buying options out there.

morningdrive said:

What a bunch of Whiny babies we have in here. Don’t like Resident Evil then move on.

Expecting 99 cent sales all the time is stupid. It’s not Sony’s fault that you are cheap.

It used to be if you really wanted to play a game you would go out and buy it. Not tell yourself “nah I’m going to wait for it to be 99 cents”.

If games are too expensive for you then it might be time to start thinking about a new hobby. Or you know get yourself a better job or a job that pays you well enough to justify your hobby. Sony has millions of people that have to try and cater to. It’s not just about you. You are not the center of their world. So you spent $350 on a console. That doesn’t mean they have to give you everything for free now.

Stop feeling so entitled people!

Deal with it!

The only issue here is that they included the terrible live action movies of Resident Evil. Those are a different universe! There’s NO RED QUEEN in the games! There’s no generated world! There’s no Alice either! LOL

Degeneration, and Damnation are the only ones worth your time. They are based on the RE universe, and they have animation in CG with previous cast members. It’s perfect!

    SilentNova said:

    March 3rd, 4:25 pm

The thing is Capcom still gives the rights for the movies to be made. If Nintendo did a full Mario sales, they might include the Mario Bros. movie and the cartoon shows despite them not having anything to do with the main universe. However Nintendo still does not have movies you can buy from the network, so you will not see that anytime soon.

Point is in this case it works for both companies as Sony and Capcom both have their names attached to the movies. Plus the live action ones are still popular overall. Not really my thing, but some people really love them.
