Road to Greatness Returns, Tours Across the U.S.

The Road to Greatness tour is back for 2016, bringing the latest and greatest in PlayStation gaming to festivals and conventions across the United States by way of a badass 16-wheeler truck that unfolds like a Transformer.

We’re hitting a different city every week from now through November, so don’t miss your opportunity to go hands-on with some amazing games and experiences. Some highlights on the truck this year include:

PlayStation VR

Road to Greatness, 2016

For the first time ever, we’re taking PlayStation VR on the road with us with a number of different games to play. If you haven’t had a chance to try this yet, you definitely should find a way to make it out to one of the Road to Greatness stops.

We will only have the capacity for a few dozen people each day to play PlayStation VR, but we’re giving PlayStation.Blog readers a little “cheat code” for priority access. All you have to do is send a tweet to @HeyPlayStation declaring that you want to try PlayStation VR and show that Tweet to a staff member. It’s our way of saying “Thank You” for being such die-hard PlayStation fans.

“King of the Couch” Tournaments

Every day you’ll have chances to earn some awesome PlayStation games and collectibles through the “King of the Couch” local multiplayer lounge.

Prizes range from PS4 games to PlayStation swag. This is your chance to prove that you’re the king of your city and have something to show for it.

Exclusive Giveaways

Throughout the tour we’ll be giving away a ton of amazing PlayStation items that can’t be obtained anywhere else. In addition to PlayStation shirts, hats, sunglasses, and drawstring bags, the Road to Greatness tour will be the only way to get your hands on #36 in the PlayStation Collectible Card Series that launched at PlayStation Experience 2015. This gold foil card will be one of the rarest to date, so nab one while you still can!

Attendees who register at the truck will also receive an exclusive PlayStation Store offer related to the various games on the tour. If you plan on checking an event out, don’t forget to register!

PlayStation Vue

Road to Greatness, 2016

Also, for the first time, we’ve added our cloud-based live TV service, PlayStation Vue, to our Road to Greatness Tour. So be sure to check out the PlayStation Vue service at the registration tent, where you can explore the innovative UI, participate in trivia contests, and win prizes for this sweet TV experience. It’s also a great way to watch the big game and catch up on your favorite shows in the lounge.

We’re excited to be on the road again, bringing PlayStation goodness from coast to coast. If you’re interested in more details about the Road to Greatness tour, check out our website. It will be constantly updated with the latest routing information and playable games. We hope to see you soon!

    • I hope they bring this tour to Boston. Too

    • I really hope it comes to Boston also. I’ve not yet been able to try any VR, and I’m most excited about this one.

  • MailOrderNinja

Nothing near Oklahoma. This place sucks lol.

  • YoruAzeniaSIC

This needs to come to Indiana this time XD

  • Winning this last year was the greatest thing ever! I have never had so much fun in my life. PlayStation really knows how to treat it’s fans at these events.

  • russianmule

  • hacktsdragon

  • KratosXgodslayer

Raleigh North Carolina please! I need to see this truck!!

    • I live in Wake Forest. Pretty sure it is not going to be that close unfortunately since Raleigh would not be that bad depending.

  • FACEL3SS_Gaming

    No where near Ohio :(

    • I feel your pain, haha! I’m in Indiana, it seems like Ohio and Indiana always get passed on for all the cool stuff.

    • PanTheMan16

Both of which I’m sure are far better than Southern CA and NY. (not being sarcastic)

    • …But it’s not even coming to New York, at least so far. Last year’s didn’t, so I assume it will sadly be the same.

  • Bummer! Skipping Indianapolis again. Hopefully one day I’ll manage to get to one!

  • Hitting Saint Louis but not Kansas City….whaaaaaat?!

  • Jonny-Sturtz

How much are the Tickets do we have to pay for a hotel

  • Man, y’all need to hit up the southeast US, more specifically central NC! We never get any love from Playstation shows and tours and we’ve shown PS mad love for over 20 years! Well, at least me and a lot of my friends have, lol. :D

  • JaymeSpengler201

Would be fun to see the tour hit alamogordo, new mexico!!!

  • Squadren_64

Gosh, I wish you guys would come to Kansas City instead of St. Louis! There’s already enough to do in St. Louis!

  • Squadren_64

And of course they’re stopping in California twice for whatever reason. I wish you guys would branch out more to your ENTIRE fan base. Not just where all of the rich people are. lol

  • xXShifftyXx

So no love for Texas i see as per usual

  • Twin cities Minnesota. Please

  • That’s a depressing looking road trip so far. Sucks for the driver.

  • Chicago!!!!!!!! Lets!!! Go!

  • It would be nice if something like this came to New York for once. These tours never stop by here. Heading to PA or NJ is never convenient.

  • Please come to AZ Tucson or Phoenix would love to have this swing by! :)

    • I second that ! Would be great if you came to Tucson and maybe Phoenix during Comic-Con too.

  • so your loyal customers to the north still get no love when it comes to things like this?

  • Oh hell yeah, can’t wait to go during the Utah Air Show.

  • AimeePowell

My last pay check was $9500 working 12 hours a week online. My sisters friend has been averaging 15k for months now and she works about 20 hours a week. I can’t believe how easy it was once I tried it out. This is what I do…

Go to tech tab for work detail.. www.earnmore9.com
