PlayStation E3 Experience 2016 Announced

E3 Experience

With E3 just around the corner (wow, is it really only two weeks away?!), I’m excited to announce that the PlayStation E3 Experience is coming back on Monday, June 13, to over 85 movie theaters across the US, Canada, and for the first time, Latin America!

In 2014, we had this crazy idea to partner with Fathom Events and broadcast our E3 Press Conference LIVE to some theaters North America, not knowing if this was something people would even be interested in attending. Two years later, and we’ve had to more than double our seating capacity to accommodate everybody!

There’s just something special about watching the news and excitement of E3 together with fellow PlayStation fans that makes this an event I look forward to every year. Between the loud cheers that, honestly, probably ruin movies for people in adjacent theaters (sorry not sorry), and the camaraderie felt in the air from being surrounded by the PlayStation Nation, there’s no better way to experience E3.

In addition to getting to watch an HD simulcast of our E3 Press Conference, fans in attendance will go home with special PlayStation goods, including a commemorative Coca-Cola E3 Experience Cup and #37 from the PlayStation Collectible Card series first introduced at PlayStation Experience 2015! This is the only way to get your hands on these exclusive collectibles, so don’t miss your opportunity.

Of course, we didn’t forget about the digital gift basket this year, but the contents of that will have to remain a surprise for now…

  • Got in this time in Atlanta. I lived in L.A. The years before and those tickets seemed like it sold out in seconds.

  • Haha, so the wait list went off, and I got guaranteed ticket. I think this happened last year

    • Yea if i remember right the same thing happened last year. There was a brief window where if u did it right away u were gonna get it but if u tried doing it 5-10 mins after the tickets became open it would crash alot. Then say sold out and then open back up again saying not sold out. So People saying Sony did a poor job need to give them a break. Eventgrid is the site that was it was processing through. Unfortunately there arent really any other ticket sites that could handle it.

    • Yeah I think the site crashed and some like myself registered twice so I hope they took my second registration off so someone else can go

  • Strokera1424

Tickets in Los Angeles are still sold out but San Diego is still open!

  • The site crashed, said tickets were sold out because so may people were on at the same time. But because no one got through all the tickets opened up again.

  • I have noticed that every year, E3 Experience tickets sell out instantly in most locations. Hopefully Playstation will expand their live experience to more theatres…

  • KittenCatBar

Is anyone else still waiting on the email confirmation?

  • iamtylerdurden1

Got errors from 1pm to 1 30 then miraculously it worked and my brother and i are all registered for Trenton imax. So excited, ty Sony.

  • iamtylerdurden1

I got my email, all systems go!

  • Finally got threw and got my email confirmation.

  • Went to lunch, came back and tried again and it finally worked. No waiting list, just registered and got the confirmation email.

  • playtobyplay8

It worked for me. Just kept trying and trying. Got two tickets in Austin and I’m stoked.

  • Found out about this a little too late! tickets all gone :( Sony you need to add another theater to Toronto!
If anyone has tickets and is unable to attend please let me know :P

    • blackhulk23

it doesn’t matter if someone else has a ticket to give you because it has their name on it and only that person can use it.

  • All the Florida theaters kept saying they were full, made me extremely sad as I’ve finally got a car this year that can make the trip. Finally got through once some of the tickets released. Orlando here I come! Here’s hoping I finally lay eyes on a Legend of Dragoon or Xenosaga HD announcement!

  • Friends and I managed to snag tickets for Union Square, so this will be the third year in a row we’re going!

  • Got to go to this in Fargo, last year. This year the nearest option is almost 250 miles away. Guess I’ll be missing out. :-/

  • LEFT__4__DEAD__2

Love PlayStation E3 and love Tofubeats PlayStation songs on youtube, I would love to see more song and Content like that, would also be cool to see some of it during E3 some year so keep up the nice work :3

  • NYC question…how does the wait list work? It says that the theatres have a few seats saves for those on the waitlist, if I’m one of the first on the line think I’ll get in?…I have a seat for Trenton but would rather take a much shorter trip to Manhattan than jersey

    • Get there REALLY early then. Like 1pm, 2pm. Last year, Joey (first dude to buy a PS4) was at the front of he waiting list, not sure if he actually got in.

This was in Union Square, by the way.

  • VengeanceWithin

Am I the only confused on the numbering of the Collectors Card? The Deck at PSX 2015 ended with card #35 which was Salt & Sanctuary. Where is card #36?

  • AnimaHaynes

Portland isn’t the entirety of Oregon. Get a theater in Eugene.

  • Lame! Los Angeles is a huge city! Why can’t we get more than ONE theatre? In Santa Monica of all PLACES! Ahhhhh!

  • Arguably not that much of a stronghold of entertainment fundamentalists, thankfully, but there still is this little known state called Europe…

  • Really tried to get tickets this morning and could get them. And now they sold out in Virginia why not more theaters sony.

  • This is cool but at the same time eh. MS wins in this regard for theyre on Spike TV E3 Monday for their conference. No buffering for me there (Wish it was PS on TV though)

  • I still haven’t received a confirmation email. I had to reload several times on the order page. I reached the confirmation screen, but I’m hoping everything went through correctly.

  • Just received the email. This should be fun.

  • Not freaken fare you couldn’t announce this the day before. All of the tickets are sold out by now and not even a wait list option is available!!!

    • blackhulk23

They announced it days in advanced slowpoke don’t be salty get on the waitlist.

  • open up more theaters where it already sold out!!!

  • DeadpoolDayz

Soooo….still waiting on the email. Got the confirmation number. Do I HAVE to have the email to get in?

  • Does anyone know how IDs are checked for the movie theaters? For example, if my friend can’t go, would I be able to give his/her ticket to another friend? The ticket website says it’s non-transferable but are they really going to care? I would think that as long as the name on the ticket was crossed off a list when used, it wouldn’t be too much of an issue.

  • mysterymnsuprme

ARE TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE?! THIS IS ONLY AN HOUR FROM ME AND I’M JUST FINDING OUT ABOUT THIS! PLEASE TELL ME I CAN STILL GET A TICKET

  • JuicyPlayer

You guys are killing me , What about a Tampa location too?

  • Would of went to the theatre if it was closer but Lansing mi for me is way too far guess I can’t go.

  • Tha_Yella_Fella

So the waitlist is full already too for Edwards Cinema IMAX in Houston, TX??? I just found out about this yesterday fro my Sony Rep. I’m bummed hat I may miss this year

  • TANGOCHARLIEDOWN

Will there be captioning available for this live event as one of my friend has hearing issues. I will be attending the Hollywood 24 @ North I-85 Atlanta, GA location. I have tried reaching out to the local theater but was told that they have no clue since its a live event.

    Any answer would be great!

    Thank You!

  • Superiorwave

*Sigh* And here I was hoping Puerto Rico…. but no, just Brazil…

  • Shame Europe do not get to have a Playstation Experience. Maybe next year…

  • this is garbage. 2 showings in washington state but both on the west side. nothing for the inland northwest (spokane wa, athol idaho, paradise montana ect

  • The statement that this blog wrote about announcing PlayStation E3 Experience on Latin America movie theaters is false and a lie, they said that E3 Experience will be streamed on Snapchat, really? I suggest that the head of PlayStation send apologies to all latin american gamers because is a total disappointment to the consumers. BTW I’m from Perú.

  • If anyone in the Columbus, Ohio area knows a girl gamer who is comfortable conducting interviews, I am looking to hire someone for the PlayStation E3 Experience. This is a compensated gig. Will be video recorded. Can be reached at ‘id prhzm STUDIOS at G mail’. (Minus spaces and add a .com)

(The interview question and script will be provided.)

  • Senjutsu_Dav

Darn I always seem to miss those. I’m gonna be in France :( and the Euro Blog doesn’t seem to even talk about E3 at all. :'( Next year… again.

  • Hey guys, I entered the wrong email address. Is this something they are willing to fix? If I have proof of attendees?
Or can I show up on Monday with my ID despite the wrong email.

  • crashsmash01

Got on the waitlist for what is the AMC Deer Valley 30,not the Deer Valley 17 with imax, that needs to be updated ASAP.
It’s a lot farther then last year at the AMC Ahwatukee location. I’ve got the day off work but need a way there and home sadly.

    Hoping to go.
    If not I’ll be sad.

  • This is a question for anyone that has attended the previous events. I was lucky enough to secure a ticket and was wondering how early in advance should I show up? Is about 30-45 min in advance ok or do i need to arrive hours earlier?

  • Anybody knows if I can take my 12 years old nephew

  • robocopjulio

Awesome event, I loved it, although no on in my theater got any of the gifts ): Can you help us out Sony? I really wanted the cup, and I cant sign up for the give away because I dont have my code. Please help!

  • lelouch0010

First time going had a great time but CAN YALL PLEASE ADD MORE LOCATIONS IN GEORGIA TO SHOW IT

  • Went to the Georgesville showing in Columbus OH. Missed grabbing the collectible card #37 from the table after the show, is there any way to contact Sony directly to provide proof I attended (my voucher code and/or reservation order #) to see if I can receive it? (besides the PlayStation customer service #, which I already tried to no avail.)
