Mighty No. 9 for sure! Kinda iffy with Umbrella Corps, prolly wait for reviews.

It doesn’t say on this page, but the game should be cross-buy, if you have a PS3/4.

    vanillamoose said:

    June 19th, 5:24 pm

Thanks truebluehero didn’t know it was crossbuy!

    MakaiOokami said:

    June 19th, 6:32 pm

Yeah they definitely said it’s cross-buy. Which to be honest is only fair since people dished out money for this game 3 years ago, XD so they really shouldn’t be double charging us when ever is reasonable, and PS4/Vita is close enough to be reasonably not doublecharged. At that point you just throw in the PS3 so that people don’t feel cheated when they go up a platform. People getting it on 3DS and Wii U?

Well… can’t baby people. Bad decisions are bad decisions. :D

I would tell you… but I decided not to try the PC demo, because I wanted to experience the full game, and not get a partial taste of non complete code, be underwhelmed and then not really get around to playing the full version.

So soon we’ll find out if I threw away my $20 years ago. XD

Mighty No. 9
PS4, PS3 — Digital (PS4 Version at Retail)

Huh?My brain just isn’t registering this english. Sounds like the PS4 version is only available at retail which I know isn’t the case lol.

Vita versions?

    Mercenary09 said:

Only the PS4 version is getting a retail release. The PS3 version comes out this week digitally. Developer said they are still working on the Vita version so who knows when that will be.

Anyone know how Draw 2 is supposed to work on PS4? Does your phone/mobile device connect to the PS4 (like through the PS4 app?) or something?

    Cliff_Hanger said:

    June 19th, 11:05 am

Jackbox have been making games like this for a couple of years. You make sure the phones/tablets are on the same Wi-Fi as the PS4, and you start the game on Playstation. It gives you a code and a web address; you go to the address, punch in the code, and you get buttons and prompts on your phone screen to interact with the PS4 games. It works pretty well, though you need to make sure your phone screen has at least a 3-5 minute timer before turn-off for some games or you’ll get hosed on timed stuff.

    djsaiyan said:

    June 19th, 1:56 pm

Your phone/tablet doesn’t actually have to be on the same wi-fi. Some of my friends and I play Jackbox games over Twitch, and we’re not even in the same city, let alone on the same wi-fi.

    princemalcolm said:

    June 20th, 8:36 pm

When you play any of the games for the jackbox party pack or Draw 2 you log on to the jackbox.tv website on your phone or tablet and then your enter the room code the game gives you on your ps4 to the jackbox.tv site. Thats how it works.

YorlecmNwahs said:

June 19th, 11:21 am

Does anyone remember Mega Man? Some of you younger people might not have played the games that came out in the 80s, but Mighty No. 9 reminds me of Mega Man. The art style and some of the characters in the image look like obvious copyright infringements.

    bobeck72 said:

    June 19th, 11:33 am

there’s a reason for the similarities.
Mighty No. 9 very closely resembles the early Mega Man series in both gameplay and character design, which lead producer Keiji Inafune worked on, and is considered its spiritual successor.

    MakaiOokami said:

    June 19th, 6:46 pm

Far out. Feels like you’ve been living under a rock… man…

    Swaytekk14 said:

    June 20th, 8:02 am

I’m not entirely sure if you have been following this game at all but, might no 9 was created by the same person who is responsible for the early Mega man games.

    Ralstonizer said:

    June 20th, 12:28 pm

not that making a similar style game as someone else is “copyright infringement” anyway. almost every game we all play now takes its mechanics from older games.

    June 20th, 8:39 pm

I’m out for awhile. I picked up a LOAD of titles recently; just bought Guilty Gear Revelator and paid off King of Fighters XIV at Gamestop yesterday, and picked up Doom. Target had it for $40 on Mon; same day as Bethesda’s press conference. I have NO IDEA why, but I snapped it up! Maybe it was on purpose; like, “get in on it now, we’re celebrating the good sales, and want more people to have the game and get excited for future DLC”, I dunno. But it was $40 and I couldn’t pass it up! Also picked up Bloodborne finally ‘cuz it was $15 at Best Buy, and I also have backlog to get through (I think I’m close to finishing up Digimon Cyber Sleuth). My PS4 is doing GREAT right now, but I have NO MONEY atm, I probably shouldn’t even check The Drop until August at this point :P

Where is Grand Kingdom for PS4 and Vita? I can’t even find a pre-order for the Vita on PSN but PS4 is there. Is there anyone here who can confirm officially they’ll be there digitally on Tuesday?

    AizawaYuuichi said:

    June 19th, 5:14 pm

As far as I can remember, there have NEVER been pre-orders for Vita games available on PSN. You just buy it when it comes out. And if there are any pre-order bonuses at retail, they sometimes include them with PSN purchase for the first week or two, but that’s it.

    TimMalouff said:

    June 19th, 5:54 pm

AizawaYuuichi Tearaway had a pre-order if I remember correctly & you got bonus items.

Only drawback is the normal Tearaway does not show as purchased so if you want to re-downloaded you have to find it in the messy download list.

    TJ_Solo said:

    June 19th, 10:44 pm

The 28th. I don’t know where the misinformation about the 21st started. You can look at any retailer and see the 28th.

    AizawaYuuichi said:

    June 20th, 12:17 am

@ TimMalouff: According to this post, it’s just as I said. There were no pre-orders, but you got the extras if you purchased the digital game at launch. The Vita store never has, and 100% never will at this point, support pre-order functionality.

Kind of surprised at the lack of hype behind Umbrella Corps. However, I guess this is a good thing, considering it may leave some disappointed. Personally, I pre-ordered and already downloaded the deluxe edition. I can’t wait until midnight. About 12 hours left now, and I will be sinking my teeth into this title. I just hope there’s a day one patch or that they hurry up and patch any multiplayer issues if there are any problems with anything during tonight’s launch.

    SilentNova said:

    June 20th, 10:45 am

Umbrella Corps got hate as soon as it was announced. It is the series issue problem. People rarely want you to ever travel outside your realm unless it is a RPG. That and a lot of the Resident Evil fans hated Opperation Raccoon City which in my opinion was not all that bad. Umbrella Corps is also being done by Capcom themselves unlike Operation Raccoon City.

I have high hopes because it looks like they took the team behind Lost Planet and told them to make an online team based shooter based on the Resident Evil universe. It might actually be best that it does have kind of niche audience. The ones who really enjoy it will likey stick around longer.

Sheesh, is it too much to ask to have each game clickable to the PS store instead of the image? Would it be so much trouble to list the games linked to the store at the beginning or end. There is no reason anyone should have to rummage around that poorly designed storefront to find these. Do they want to sell games or not?

Just silly

    SilentNova said:

That was not actually the fault of the Mighty No. 9 Team. The Publisher gets to choose Marketing and in this case that would be Deep Silver. Keiji should not have decided to team up with them in the first place, but at that time Deep Silver was likey to give a little extra to anyone to get the rights to Publish a game as they had no team to actually work on Dead Island 2 and Dead Island is really there only big success story.
