Street Fighter V Finals Tonight, Capcom Pro Tour DLC Details

CAPCOM_PRO_TOUR_LogoIt’s been an incredible weekend at EVO 2016 so far with the largest fighting game tournament in the world delivering some unbelievable moments from the best players from all over the globe. The action is far from over as the Street Fighter V finals are set to go live tonight at 7:00pm Pacific Time!

On top of all the amazing matches we’ve seen throughout the weekend, there was also a ton of exciting news to come from the event. PlayStation and Capcom announced a new partnership with PS4 being the presenting sponsor of the Capcom Pro Tour! The Capcom Pro Tour has seen astounding growth over the past few years with the first six-figure check being awarded to the winner of Capcom Cup 2015. Now, both PlayStation and Capcom are doubling down in 2016 to accelerate the growth of the fighting game community with this new partnership.

A large component of this partnership is the newly announced Capcom Pro Tour-themed DLC for Street Fighter V, which features new premium costumes for Chun-Li and Cammy, an additional mystery costume and the official stage of the CPT called the “Ring of Destiny.” With the PS4 being the official console of the Capcom Pro Tour, we’ve also put together an exclusive bundle that includes the three costumes, the stage, plus and an additional color for all 22 characters and two new titles.

Capcom Pro Tour DLC

This is an exclusive, limited-time offer where the proceeds from the DLC will be reinvested back into the Capcom Pro Tour and help boost the prize pool of Capcom Cup 2016 based on the number of downloads. While Capcom will always continue to invest into the Capcom Pro Tour, this is a great way for fans to show their support of the league and be part of history as we’ll have the largest prize payout in fighting game history at Capcom Cup 2016 with the support of the fans.

We’ll have even more announcements in the future, including the upcoming mystery costume that is part of this Capcom Pro Tour DLC collection. This costume will have a large impact on the future of the Capcom Cup and we believe fans we’ll be very excited once we reveal the details.

Wonder why a costume will have that influency :|

And SONY please ask Capcom to include Ingrid on Street Fighter V, she was the poster girl of Capcom’s PSP Games and was an awesome character on Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX would be amazing if she returns

  • $24.99 That’s a Little Steep for DLC even if it’s to Support Pro Players….

At Least Capcom add an Offline Arcade Mode to the Game now so we can at least PLAY the $60.00 game we Paid for that we can’t even play right now since it has No Arcade Mode!

Get that Done and I might Consider to buy this Pro DLC then… But I Need my Arcade Mode first!!!

  • I jumped off this money train years ago and haven’t looked back…!

  • This trash game lmao

  • KazeEternal

    22 Colors……………….

What kind of sick sad game is Capcom trying to pull? What you’re engineers telling you it costs you guys a months worth of work to add a new color while talking to an artist?

    please note. Sarcasm.

Can’t believe I’m going to say this, but Dead or Alive 5 is handling its DLC a hell of a lot better than Capcom is wtih SF5. Colors. F***, you have to be kidding me. You’re game barely has any content, half your features are still not in the game, and you’re hear shilling a 3 costume pack and a stage with a set of color values you can swap into your shader at any given time. Just give us a color wheel and be done with it.

This pricing structure is laughable when compared to Killer Instincts on Xbox One. Please don’t take 3 seasons to completely flesh out year one content.

And here I thought Capcom would actually give something for free for just watching and cheering them players on.

  • “This is a great way for fans to show their support of the league and be part of history”. Wow… Support the Pro Players, the ones that get fame and fortune at huge events like EVO, by giving them our money?

I guess some people would like that… here’s the issue though: I love Street Fighter, loved it since I was a child. NEVER enjoyed playing it competitively, always like playing the arcade mode. Then you release a Street Fighter game without an arcade mode, completely focused on online and competitive play…

The Story Mode DLC was laughable, I wonder whose child wrote the “script”. It’s sad to see how much Capcom does not give a **** about Street Fighter. Juri escapes in her bike, fleeing from Brazil, and in the next scene she’s in Britain, with her bike still, and Cammy wonders “if we lost them”. Wow. No one saw issue with that? Well, I guess I should never expect Capcom to try hard when it comes to its games’ stories.

If there was an arcade mode for SFV it would be another story, but as the game is currently, there is almost zero appeal for someone like me to play it. Could you not listen to your non-pro fans for once and give us a regular Single Player game too?

  • Netherrealm made so much prize money off of just two $2 costumes. I expect the Capcom Cup winner to be a millionaire with this $25 DLC announced. Way overpriced, but clearly its a donation effort rather than paying for content. Still, the $25 stage is hype as hell.

  • Too expensive…

  • SFV is a garbage game made by imbeciles.

  • Buyer’s remorse like you wouldn’t believe. I bought this thinking the colors would apply to all costumes. They don’t. The colors only apply to the default costumes. So those super expensive CPT costumes won’t be able to use the colors that were sold in same package. The only things dynamic about the new stage are banners and scrolling marquee. They even recycled the characters behind the ring! The punk rocker, floating yogi, sheep, bear, hotdog sales guy, etc. So half the stage is new, the other half is taken from different stages. I’m really disappointed by this package and pricing. I got sucked into all the excitement at evo and purchased it on my phone after it was announced since I thought the stage was cool and new (upon closer inspection it wasn’t), I thought colors applied to all costumes (again it wasn’t), and I liked the “classy” costumes. The costumes looked awesome in the Vegas stage by the way.
