Step right up, carnival goers and welcome to the virtual big top! The original Carnival Games brought the fair experience into your very own home. On October 28, Carnival Games VR takes you right to the middle of the midway with 12 VR games. Get your virtual hands on modes like Climb Wall, Shooting Gallery and a whole lot more.

Carnival Games VR

Carnival Games VR lets you throw, shoot, catch and climb your way through 12 carnival games adapted for a great VR experience. Let’s break down the games you’ll be able to play solo or with your buddies.

Alley Ball: Roll nine balls down the lane and into the holes at the end of the alley.

Ring Toss: Try to toss five rings onto pegs for points.

Golden Arm: How good is your throwing arm? Try to knocking over the golden milk jug(s) with a baseball.

Down The Stretch: Be the first to finish the race by rolling the ball into the holes at the end of the ramp.

Pop Darts: Pop as many balloons as possible with six darts. Hit the moving targets to pop all 8 balloons on that station.

Shooting Gallery: You have unlimited shots – but you’re racing against the clock – to hit as many scripted targets as possible.

Climbing Wall: Look around you and climb as fast as you can to reach the treasure at the top of the wall.

Shark Tank: Try to dunk all three patrons by throwing the ball at the moving target as quickly as possible.

Funnel Cake Stacker: Catch as many funnel cakes on the tray as you can.

Swish: You have 60 seconds to make as many baskets as possible.

Haunted House: You’re on a cart moving through a haunted house, now take aim and shoot as many targets as possible!

Fast Pitch: All kinds of crazy pitches are coming your way – how many can you catch?

Now that you’ve won some tickets, it’s time to turn them in for some virtual prizes and unlock new games! You can interact with prizes in a free-form VR setting in the “playrooms.” For example, you score enough tickets to buy a Ball-and-Chain – try swinging them around in the Prize Room. It’s more than just a trophy room, though – it’s a sandbox! Goof around with your prizes in a free form environment and see what happens! (Pro-tip: Many of the game’s Trophies are earned through how you play with prizes.)

There is more – be sure to challenge friends on the leaderboards! Each game will have a leaderboard to track your game scores and compete against friends.

PAX WEST ALERT: Hey, Friend! Are you going to be at PAX West this weekend? Come join us on the show floor! Swing by Booth #S4 (in the lobby of the convention center) and be among the first people to play Carnival Games VR!

C’mon dude don’t be that guy. With comments like that maybe you should be the one at the circus dressed in clown makeup. This looks like it is going to be fun! Should be a perfect fit for the VR experience. I am looking forward to it!

Well, as the resident member of the “giant mega corporation” I wanted to assure you that I do reply to comments. ;p

Of course I’m a little biased because I work at 2K, but speaking as a HUGE VR nerd, I think that you guys are going to dig the collection of games. Climb Wall is my favorite so far.

If any of you folks are up in Seattle for PAX West, you should definitely look for the Carnival Games VR booth and try a couple of the games there – and lemme know what you think.

haha. my comment was mostly joking, just poking fun with a giant mega corporation that I am fully aware wouldn’t be replying to my comment.

Didn’t realize I was being “that guy” (whatever that means) or that what I did was wrong while you and your friend trying to make fun of a username I came up with a decade ago.

here come the minigame compilations! Haven’t had anything since the Wii to truly offer a gimmicky experience, eh?

If this comes out at $29.99 CAD, I could see it being worth a few hours of fun.

The only thing is, these games are typically fun when there’s a group of people playing and watching. When only one person can be playing in VR, it takes a bit away, doesn’t it?

Is this going to be just as shallow as the Wii Carnival Games? Is this just the first wave of cheap cash grab lame VR games like the Wii got a ton of these crap games?

when do we get to see a trailer ?

also, please make a boxing game for ps vr.
Make it look realistic instead of arcadey, yet, let us change the A.I. via the settings so if we want a serious game we can have it
if we want a fun, arcade-like game, we can have that too.

thanks !

Hey there, Don’t have exact time on trailers and such yet – BUT, like I said up in the blog post, we’re letting you guys play a couple of the game modes at PAX West this weekend. So if you’re up in Seattle, you should swing by and check it out!
