It’s the arcade version. Contra was originally an arcade game, before it was ported to the NES.

Darkest Dungeon got rave reviews on PC, can’t wait to get that digitally day 1..also getting xcom 2

September 25th, 12:23 pm

Mount and Blade was fun on PC. If they still allow cheats and the price is right I’ll pick it up for sure.

Sadly it plays exactly as in PC… no cheats.. I can’t recommend by that price..

This is one of the best multiplayer games on PS4. Fortunately, it plays just like the PC version, with fewer players. It’s a bargain for 20 bucks if you’re aren’t scared of competition.

    Finozzi1696 said:

    September 25th, 1:10 pm

Mordax: they are talking about their new retail releases, you can see it says “Retail” at the right side of the game’s name. The game was released only on digital a few days ago and its now getting a retail release.

Zheros was not fun at all when it was free on that other console.

    Dragonchasers said:

    September 26th, 8:24 am

Agree with @Thillhouse; I would wait on Zheros. or maybe check the gamefaqs board on that other console. It wasn’t very good even for free.

Hey, so first, thanks for fixing how the Drop looks on most ancillary devices. I can finally see it properly on my PS4 again.

Second, I need to leave a message for you fine folks at Sony, but I’m not certain where the best place would be. Ever since PS4 Update 4.00 was released, I’ve noticed additional UI lag on the console when closing applications. That’s not a huge issue, but it does get to be a little irritating and it may be something to look at in future updates.

More importantly to me, I use my PS4 often when surfing the internet. Youtube functionality seems to have taken a hit with 4.00 for whatever reason and videos often have a harder time actively playing. They start and stop at random intervals and eventually refuse to even try and play. This isn’t an issue with buffering or streaming as we can clearly see that the videos have loaded in the video interface. The sooner something could be fixed with this, the better, since I often like to sit back and check out new information on games using my PS4. Thanks.

so you raised the price of PS+ with no additional value, no mod support for Fallout4, and you’re not going to support cross-play with XB1 players. your policies are starting to tick off the community and you’re slowly losing the goodwill you have gained since launch.

    September 25th, 8:14 pm

Cross-play was a desperation move by Microsoft because they were getting killed in sales. Why would Sony say Sure, we’ll do that and lose sales? As for MOD support, my guess is that Sony is worried that since MODs are external, their is a high probability someone will use it to hack their system. They have already lost hard on the PSP because of hacks as well as the past hacks on PSN.

No, to me that started when they decided to stop giving Vita owners bug fixes and new features (that the PS4 has).

Really? Contra and Dead Rising 2? One game from 10 years ago and the other over 30? It’s no wonder I love my PS3 and Vita. Developers need time to develop for the wacky lack of limits PS4 offers. This is why I wait a few years after a console comes out. PS4 has no game changers unless you count Uncharted 4 but I hear that was just okay.

    Finozzi1696 said:

    September 26th, 9:28 am

Dead Rising 2 came out 6 years ago, not 10, the original Dead Rising came out 10 years ago and it was an Xbox 360 exclusive until now when it was released on the PS4 for the first time.

If you’re saying that the PS4 only has Uncharted 4 then I can tell how pointless your comment is: Bloodborne, Until Dawn, The Last Guardian, Horizon Zero Dawn, Detroit Become Human, DriveClub, The Order 1886, Nioh, Gravity Rush 2, Uncharted 4, Infamous Second Son, Infamous First Light, Gran Turismo Sport, Days Gone, Death Stranding, Dreams, God of War, Spiderman, Ratchet and Clank, etc…

Also the PS3 had thousand of PS1 and PS2 Classics released, as well as PS2 remasters, and nearly all of this next gen remasters are being released on other consoles too, not only on PS4.

If that’s so, then where’s Tony Hawk’s Underground 1 and 2? Where’s the original SmackDown/SmackDown vs. Raw games? Where’s Tekken 3, 4, and 5 (the original, not Dark Resurrection)? Where’s Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3? Where’s The Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction? Where’s Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2? Where’s the Spider-Man PS1/movie-based games? Where’s all of the other great PS1/PS2 classics that still haven’t been re-released yet?

Anyone know when we’ll be getting to buy the digital pre-order for World of Final Fantasy. I’ve been iffy on it for a while but after recently completing FF7 I guess I’m a little more interested in whatever Square wants to release next as a Final Fantasy title. I think I read a comment by some mod at one point that PSN will indeed offer a day one digital version at some point before release.

For those not considering Mount and Blade Warband because you don’t know what it is, DONT SKIP IT! It isnt graphically impressive (at all really) but it is very good and a lot of fun. YouTube some videos of the pc version.

September 26th, 2:26 pm

Xcom2 Don’t have DLC mod ‘s like the pc ? This is holding me back WTH no one talking about this steam Workshop CREATE CUSTOM MODS

Nothing for me, can’t wait for Dragon Quest Builders on the 11th, that has the digital pre-order already available as well.
