Happy Halloween! We’re happy to share the upcoming free PS Plus games for November 2016.

First up this month we have Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture. The talented developers at The Chinese Room bring us the spiritual successor to Dear Esther. Set in a small, deserted English town, players search for clues to uncover what happened to all of its missing inhabitants. This is a beautiful game with an incredible soundtrack that we hope you enjoy.

Next up is The Deadly Tower of Monsters. Have you ever wanted to play through your favorite sci-fi B-movie? Of course you have! That’s exactly what Atlus and ACE team have made with this game. Add in a clever director’s commentary and there’s a lot to enjoy about revisiting this cooky cult classic.

    I for one am very happy with this line up! Always wanted to play Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, and the other game sounds great! Plus I still go back to my PS3 and costume quest is supposed to be very fun. Good job this month guys.

    2 things:

    1) 4! PS4 games in November, awesome!

    2) To other commenters, remember that November is jam-packed full of brand new Triple A, Indie, VR, and (mostly unheard of) digital-only releases. Who has time for whatever the free PS+ games are this month anyway?

    Stop defending these people……It’s not “entitled” to expect good games in your PS Plus lineup. They pretty much force you to have the subscription to make full use of your $500 system and then on top of that the raised the price of the thing….and then this is all they give you…it would be one thing if you got to keep the games without having to keep the subscription, but no they only work if the subscription is active.

    I have been a Sony fan boy for years, but I can see why Xbox is making the comeback

      Spot on, nothing wrong with wanting some value for money for the service you are forced to pay for to play online.

      Sick of all the comments about oh don’t forget you get x amount of games worth this much, I can’t be the only person that doesn’t buy everything on release or new and has other things to pay for and the comments about there are several triple AAA games coming out this month, as if there aren’t every month?

      You are correct. It’s not entitled to expect “good games”. It IS entitled to expect AAA games every single month. That’s unrealistic.
      Also, the system was $400 new, not $500 (that was the XB1). Also, it can be had for $300 now, making that figure even more wrong.
      They raised the price of PS+ for everything, not just games. Online play/infrastructure improvements (ongoing), cloud save storage, discounts, free programming (Powers), and the IGC. They raised it a mere $10. Anyone expecting to suddenly see that ENTIRE $10 suddenly get better games EVERY SINGLE MONTH, rather than being spread out over the full year, is again being unrealistic. Also, how many people have actually renewed PS+ yet and given Playstation that extra $10? Huh???
      I’m not a Sony fanboy, I just don’t care about Xbox exclusives, and them giving out games every month that I’ve already played doesn’t make GwG look very attractive to me.

    And i can’t help but think that sony pays people to say things like “great lineup” or “perfect games”,
    i mean, it would be okay for mobile devices, but for Ps4?.. shame.

    Hate to complain and rarely do when it comes to these free games but compared to last month’s lineup (which was incredible) this month blows…hard.
    Also, LOL @ the people threatening to buy an Xbone, go ahead you’ll probably just complain when you don’t get the free games you want there too.

    I know Sony will never implement this strategy, but I have a suggestion for selecting PS Plus free titles. Instead of Sony telling us what games we can load each month, how about Sony giving us a pool of games (let’s say about 10) and we can pick up to 6 out of those. If Sony is really willing to go bold, then it can even throw in relatively new PS4 games in the mix (Doom, Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst for example) and offer that in exchange for limiting our picks. So if you pick relatively new PS4 game as PS Plus download title, then you only get one pick instead of 2 picks. I think giving Plus members the choice to pick would be nice because with this current method, sometimes you don’t have anything to download. For example, I didn’t download any PS+ title this month for my PS4 because I had already bought RE Remake and Transformers before they were offered as Plus titles.

      If you were a realist, you’d realize that no PUBLISHERS would ever agree to that. It’s not like Sony can force Activision, EA, Ubisoft, or anyone else to let Playstation owners just randomly select one or more of their games to have for free. They have to make deals with publishers and indies to give the games away for free. That’s why we don’t get the Vote to Play feature every month. It’s not easy to find three devs all willing to give their brand new game away for free at the same time, knowing two of them will not get the contract and their game will appear devalued after losing, as they were willing to give it away.

    Best month of the year!!

    2 PS4 games that I wanted and Dirt 3 I’ve been wanting for quite a while too.Pumped BMX+ is another one I wanted to try.

    Seriously can’t believe you guys are giving Deadly Tower of Monsters…one of the best recent PSN games.

      No, it’s not better at all. Last month we got 2 fantastic games for PS4 and 2 great ones for Vita this month we have mostly crappy indies. I don’t mind indies but come on how can you say this month is better than what we got last month? You’re in serious denial.

    I’m actually looking forward to next month, I’ve thought about buying Everybody’s Gone to Rapture and Deadly Tower of Monsters, so for me this isn’t a bad month at all. Kind of wish the Vita side got something a little better though.

    Hope everyone realizes JoeEffect is just an xbox fanboy who took the chance to rip on PSN. Plenty of good games and content are released and sometimes its hard to even keep up with playing and finishing all of them if you’re checking content monthly, on top of purchased games which is what the system is all about. Cant wait to pick up The Last Guardian!

    So price hike after numerous outages and no increase to the value of the consumer or stability of the network…Check

    Refusal to listen to customers …check

    Refusal to allow features that the competition is welcoming with open arms?…check

    Release of a horribly unfinished game that blatantly lied about what it was yet they fully supported until they got our money?….. check

    Gives up support immediatly on any device that does not sell like hotcakes at launch?….check

    Remind me again why I am giving you my money Sony, because you sure are doing everything in your power to prove why you don’t deserve it.

      @PhantomReaver Couldn’t of put it better myself, if it wasn’t required for online I wouldn’t even consider PS Plus.

      The outages are one of the biggest issues they’re becoming too frequent.

      @Lizardking_8989 They’ll bring them out but make you pay for every single one by the store with no kind of discount applied for them being PS2 games.

    Deadly tower of monsters looks to be pretty fun. I have Costume quest 2 (which is really good) and Everybody’s gone to the rapture (great story) already so, Still working on some older free ones so I’m happy.

    I love Sony to Death and have been a True fan of theirs for years but I’m gonna need Sony to step their “PS Plus” games up! These free games that they been giving out lately have been tired! Except for Resident Evil but other than that, these other Indie type games and these games that you would see in a Dollar store or something have to go! There’s plenty of awesome games on the PS3 and PS4 that they can give away for free. Come on now, Step it up Sony!

    Forget PS Plus, like I did. By the time physical releases are out on Plus (if ever), they’re usually ridiculously cheap at retail locations. I got Watch Dogs for like $7 pre-owned at Walmart.

    If you keep expecting good things from Plus, you will be let down. They just don’t care anymore….the lineups used to be great when they first started. There’s no incentive for Sony to produce for you since subs are up. Vote with your wallet and don’t renew, as I did.

And then when they lose access to it upon letting their sub lapse, they’ll complain that they can’t play it anymore. They want everything, but don’t want to spend anything more than the bare minimum.     PS4 is decent, and Vita’s is awful as normally expected. I dont use my PS3 so dont care about those.

    So where is the extra money going to after the PS+ sub increase? Clearly not into higher quality games, or even more games (PS4 gets 2/month, where XBO gets 4/month). Nor is is clearly making PSN infrastructure better with it being down several times this month. So where is all the extra money? Lining the pockets of Sony’s execs?

      What extra money? Did you resubscribe at the higher rate? Has anyone yet? The way commenters here constantly claim they’re leaving Playstation for Xbox, I doubt Sony has made any extra money yet. I mean, I’m subscribed through 2019, so Sony won’t be getting that extra $10/year from me for a while…
      And just how is $10, spread across all the services provided through PS+, supposed to be immediately apparent???

    I get why people are upset this month. Truly, I get it. Not getting what you want, especially when there is a history of not getting exactly what you want, is a valid reason for complaining. I mean, how often are you truly disappointed in your life by the actions of others? Personally, I’m never disappointed and am joyously embracing all of the good choices other companies make that benefit me, especially when they’re tailored to my specific tastes. We all are entitled to feel entitled; it is the American Way! Shucks, I even willingly pay for this service of my own freewill, which I totally don’t have to do, and I’m rewarded by getting the exact amount of downloadable content promised each and every month and it just so happens to be stuff I’m not a huge fan of? Boy, they really missed the mark here.

    Anyone remember when we didn’t get any games for free each month? I sure do, Xbox 360 didn’t do it for a long time and it didn’t bother me. When they did, the games were 3+ year old Triple AAA titles, or what little indie games they had on the platform. Sony does the same thing. We aren’t paying for free games, we’re paying to use the service that allows us to play multiplayer games on the console…….. Sheesh.

      Except that the service started on PS3 and therefore wasn’t necessary to play online… you were paying purely for the discounts and the games offered each month. There’s a completely different set of expectations and standards thanks to that.

      Ugh you could online game on PS3 without ps plus. At which time ps plus was not super popular (around 2010). So, Sony pulls a really ****** move and makes ps plus required in order to game online.

      In 2010 online gaming was more stable and my crap downloaded faster.

    Fantastic Month.

    Rapture and Deadly Monsters looks likes a pleasant game. Both have easy platinums.

    Dirt 3…great…but probably won”t play it.

    Costume Quest 2, beloved..so would love to try it out.

    Letter Quest…..wanted to play this game. Looking forward to complete it, slowly.

    Pumped BMX…will try it, won’t complete it.

    Well, I can say after yet a mediocre month for PS+ games, I will be done when my PS+ runs out.
    It is bad enough they raised our membership price and the months get worse and worse.
    And, yes, I have a right to complain as I pay good money for PS+ and we get “rewarded” with mediocre games.

    I agree lately the PS Plus offerings have been a bit weak. Last months would have been great if I had not already bought Transformers a month after it came out. I will say, while I am not dropping PSplus because of this, overall, when I had XBox live for the 360, the offers per month were way better.

    Why is Costume Quest 2 release next month ? Halloween is over by then well played guys. Costume Quest 2 is pretty good . I haven’t bought Costume Quest 1 yet but i’m planning to.

      Except for the fact that free means you get to keep something without ever paying a dime.

      Anyone who claims these are free games is ignorant as the sun is hot. We pay for these games. Do I get to keep these games if I decide plus is no longer a good value for me? NO, you are locked out of the content until you start giving them money again….explain to me again how that in any way shape or form counts as FREE GAMES.

      Seriously explain to me how exactly paying to be able to access a game then being locked out of it once you stop constitutes as free?

      We pay money for the service, we pay money to keep access to these games, and now we don’t even have the option of making it an optional purchase because now its required for online play.

      So yes every single one of us who is unhappy with a service we pay for and are forced to pay for, unless we want to leave our consoles almost entirely offline, has every dang right to complain.

      Free games are given without a dime spent. I have 9.99 taken out of my bank account every month just I can play 1 game online. I get games as part of that service. If I unsub then I no longer have access to those game anymore. It’s not free by any means.

    That’s actually a really good point. I was thinking the lineup is underwhelming, but it makes perfect sense why it is so. Why would Sony want to cannibalize sales of these big games coming out in the big game season? It just wouldn’t make much business sense. Plus, I’m not really tripping that much because I still have tons of PS+ games across all four platforms (PS3/4, PSP/Vita) that I haven’t even started.

    Everyone seems to forget..

    Sony started the whole free game thing as a whole; so it is absolutely comical for those talking about how Microsoft is a better company.

    Remember when PS3 introduced PS+ as an optional service? You could still play online regardless of if you had it or not AND you got free games.
    At that time – guess what; Microsoft did not even provide free games and forced you to pay to even access their online services.

      Also trash. Do you want to know the sad reality as to why you cannot bad every month with great games for either of these consoles? There simply are enough good games anymore; for either console.

      People around here for some reason give them this big thumbs up when stuff like “Lords of the Fallen” comes out as a free game; but by the time it is free – I had already purchased it for $10 prior to that. And guess what? The game is not very good despite it being a “box game”.

      There are not enough good games out there to please everyone every month. You can blame Sony, but it is not like Microsoft has a stellar lineup either. Blame the game developers out there who have trouble releasing quality games.

      I also remembered when they gave AAA games then also. Now with the ps4 they went Micro$oft on us, even with the price hike for ps plus. Which by the way I don’t see why, seeing that the servers are still the same and the new system update made my ps4 slower somehow. I was a day 1 ps member also, still current to. Plus I’m an live member also. $ony in my opinion is slightly better on graphics, while Micro$oft online is smoother. Still last couple of years it’s been weak.

    Would I be correct in assuming that Letter Quest Remastered and Pumped BMX+ is playable on PS4 or do you HAVE to have a vita?

      Both of those games are cross buy which means that they are playable on both PS4 and Vita you don’t need to own a Vita.
