The Future of Gaming Lives On PlayStation

This has been a momentous year for PlayStation, and we’re excited to offer gamers more ways than ever to join the PlayStation family. Whether you are already a PlayStation gamer or opt for the great value of the new, slim PS4 at $299 ($379.99 CAD), PS4 Pro, or PlayStation VR, you have endless opportunities to experience the amazing games, entertainment features and vibrant community that make PlayStation the best place to play.

As we look ahead to the future, we want to celebrate all of you—the gamers—who have helped us build this vibrant community.

Gamers are at the heart of everything we do, and our new campaign focuses on one of the things we love most: adventure. Starting with the original PlayStation more than 20 years ago, we’ve always strived to bring innovative ideas and exciting new adventures to our fans.

In the near future, we’ll journey with you through the lush, post-apocalyptic world of Horizon: Zero Dawn, seek solitude in the unfamiliar lands of Norse mythology in God of War, and swing through the streets of Manhattan with Spider-Man.

Wherever your next adventure takes you, we’re excited to share in your triumphs and continue to make PlayStation the best place to play.

  • Long Live PlayStation!

  • I guess this commercial is better than hearing that dated robot girl voice in the end. Oh please change that!

      ”Play-stay-shun“ (gotta love it)

    • Vengeance1138

Never. Ever. Change. This. Even for PS5, this must stay. The best part of all ads.

    • Indeed, I love that kind of japanese voice… even in South Park do the tribute to the voice in war of consoles.

    • @Tomoprime “dated”? get out.

    • WTF?…that is a registered mark already…I love that and I hope they never change it,would like to see the “it only does…” back.

  • Blanka confirmed for SFV (0:11)

  • 00:53 Mass Effect: Andromeda’s Mako.

  • ChocoboJoseph

    I miss Kevin Butler…

  • Don’t just thank us. Where’s the gifts?

  • CrusaderForever

Loved it! PlayStation Nation! Can’t wait to get the Pro!

  • Instead of making pretty TV spots … you could wander over to the BetterPSN campaign and spend a few bucks fixing things on the Wishlist and making the service catch up to where Xbox have found themselves at the end of this generation.

    PS Hardware – second-to-none.
PS Software – leaves me wanting.

Seriously, name changes need to happen. One can only play with the juvenile twerks on PSN with a username “BJ” for so long … :|

    • Agree… also they could at least update the PlayStation App.. it crashes like hell on a S7. The mobile store is awful.

I’d be possible also to have the choice to use the playstation app as an external keyboard for the console.

    • Agree about the software part but no,ID change should never happen…shame on all people that didn’t think before choosing a name you’ll use well…for the rest of your life.Gotta live with your mistakes.

  • “Gamers are at the heart of everything we do” … good one

  • I love these types of ads whenever they come out. 8) the guys Spiderman took down shooting in the street – was that supposed to be a Payday reference?

  • TrueAssassin86x

If the future of gaming Lives on PlayStation then its a very weak future. I see the second coming of a gaming crash.

    • Vengeance1138

If that’s what you see, better get your crystal ball fixed cause it’s clearly borked.

  • I am continuously impressed by the marketing sony does, micheal was pretty amazing and this one is another good effort, I love the little references from some of my favorite games and the few newer ones I have yet to play, horizon zero, god of war just to name a few. Hail to the king

  • “Continue to be the best place to play” Everything but Bethesda games, because we are being so restrictive about mods as to make them effectively worthless?

The Commercial is pretty awesome tho, and love the choice of Music :)

  • No mention of the PS Vita?

  • Playstation needs to get back in the game. They’ve taken enough time off since the PS4 launch.

  • Wow amazing video…can’t describe how much coolness I saw on it,just amazing.

Still love PS but I really wanted the old Sony back, the Sony from the PS3 times before they were mad greedy.
