  • Weird that no one’s addressing people’s feedback. Did the blog have a regime change? There used to be a great back and forth here.

  • Hey Great news playstation gamers! The Qbert avatars are on sale for all of you PS Plus members. It’s the sale we’ve all been waiting for…

    • Ain’t that truth? It’s why I love my PS+ account lol.

Talk about shafting your customers. Hey let’s pretend that we’ve never done sales or discounted stuff for PS+. Let’s not talk about it or bring it up. These people will forget soon.

That seems to be what Sony execs thinks of us, their customers. It’s funny ‘cos I noticed that on Amazon Sony reps are quick to respond to bad reviews. Too bad that their actual customer service is lousy. I guess it’s cheaper to hire someone to copy and paste replies to Amazon reviews rather than hire, train, and staff your customer service department.

    • Sounds like ah great sale. Now I wish I was a plus member.

  • The no store update post on Tuesdays is really annoying. I don’t have time to search the entire store to see what came out.

  • To the people asking about the MMPR game, it is on the store if you look under new PS4 games.

  • Okay, so, I guess the Store Update posts really are gone.

That makes no sense, come on guys. Bring that back, it’s an important part of this blog.

    • They want you to go to the Store and look around and hopefully impulse buy something. If they told you that nothing you are looking for is on sale, you wouldn’t do that.

  • Sony doesn’t even try anymore. No more weekly sales! I can’t even remember the last time I purchased a digital game.

  • Hello, where are the store updates?

  • Gravity rush! Yeah!!!!!! Also getting a night in the woods.

  • Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Avatar, please make avaliable! Also I thought Dino Dini Kick-Off Revival, for vita was meant to be avaliable this week, Thx!

  • Whats is happening? Since the new year, PSN has not made a single sale… usually EVERY WEEKS there used to be different games on sale, price drops, etc… now NOTHING… this sucks :(

  • Is it confirmed that the store updates are gone for good? Or is it just that there’s not enough new games/sales right now?

  • The very least you could do is assign an intern to look at the comments and give general feedback to someone that matters. The most useful post on this blog each week was the Store Update because it’s the only place that gives a comprehensive breakdown of everything that’s new. The Store itself sure as hell doesn’t do that. Without it, this site is practically useless as everything else it does is redundant of other more general gaming news sites.

  • My guess is that Sony just gave up with sales. For over 2 years now all we have been getting is the same sales every other week so honestly it really isn’t a loss. They will probably just go to monthly flash sales starting with Rockstar, then Resident Evil, followed by Assassin’s creed….all over priced too.

  • Reallllly dislike this new format. The old Store Updates provided critical information on sales and DLC, while the Drop doesn’t cover any of it AND still misses games that are releasing this week.

If you want us to be okay with this new format, you’re going to need to put way more information into The Drop posts, along with accurate coverage of what games are going to be released that week.

  • AFI The Blood Album is spectacular! Listen to it gamers! Go support such an amazing band!

    But decent drop this week!

  • So instead of a “Tuesday Drop,” we get the SAME post from Friday with the major releases, it just gets reposted on Tuesday.

Where are the prices? What DLC came out this week? What is on sale??

This is so lame, and such a slap in the face. How is it so hard to post a list of the new content? Couldn’t take more than a few minutes for someone to do… I could throw it together using the store link on PC without any inside info and really, it would take minimal effort. It’s insane to think that that notifying your customer base about what content you are releasing or placing on sale once a week is such a chore. So incredibly lazy.

  • I wanted to throw my voice into the mix and hope that Sony will listen to us if enough people request for the PS Store updates to come back. They’re incredibly useful to be able to see all the new releases and sales in one place. There have been many times when I had no idea that a game had come out or there was a sale on a game I wanted until I saw the Playstation Blog store update post, and they’ve resulted in me buying a bunch of stuff I normally wouldn’t have. So please, for the happiness of your fans and increased sales, bring the updates back.

  • There’s seems to be a lot of like-minded people who hate the removal of Store update (not to mention the lousy sales).

    I would recommended the following:

    1. Leave a message on the forum. The link to it is in the section right about the “LEAVE A COMMENT” box.

    2. Post comments about lack of Store Update on the blog articles so they get the point.

Rinse and repeat until they get the message.

Honestly the blogs here are mostly useless. It’s nice knowing what to look out for, but it doesn’t make me want to gamble with a preorder. I’ll take a honest review over an advert paid by the publishers. These social media specialists are of course being paid to paint nothing but roses.

    • I wouldn’t say they’re being paid to say good things about a game, but they’re not as critical as they should be when summarizing or reviewing a game. But I also understand they’re not a reviewing website, and so their job is only to briefly tell you about a game and try to sell you on it.

I also want the store updates back.

  • So, while the european store got it own January sale rolling until the 20th, we got nothing at all. Great plan Sony!

    • well… i’m not agree with Sony for ignoring us presently… the fact is Euro got nothing for sale in December.
They doesn,t have a huge black Friday like us. So the Boxing day is still the main sale, and since the sale is monthly in europe for psn…

The problem probably coming from Gamestop and all other retailer. they probably complaint about the huge sale in november/December and all the weekly deal.

  • If only Quest of Dungeons was released on Vita. :( Looks like a fun game to play otherwise.

  • They have acknowledged praise and ignored criticism (constructive or otherwise) for a long time. Actually addressing feedback (rather than just saying glad you like it) doesn’t happen.

  • I thought I was just logging in at the wrong time, but it seems that there really isn’t a weekly post called “PlayStation Store Update” any more. Surprising! I figured that was both useful for the consumer and good advertising for the company. Maybe not everything comes out on Tuesday any more, is that it? Rock Band DLC is now released on Thursday, for instance.

    • “that was both useful for the consumer and good advertising for the company”.

Yes you are absolutely correct there. Therefore they decided to cut it.

  • I’m sure this is a cost cutting measure. They kept the easier, less useful post and cut the one that probably takes an hour to put together that’s infinitely more useful. I wonder how many sales they’re missing because they’ve made it more inconvenient for the customer?

  • They would have to report because this month there are no deals, they **** on the customers, if it were for costs everyone would go to the pc and steam, they would have to give thanks that in the weeky deals the customers continue to buy with high prices for Games offer

  • Every Tuesday for years I have logged into Playstation blog to check the new games and dlc for sale, and look over the handy list of weekly sales. I’m sad that you are no longer supporting this. This past Tuesday I tried going through the psn online store to find this information but it is a slog to get through, and I gave up. Can anyone suggest a new website for me to start generating ad revenue for? Just looking for what Playstation blog used to post, and will check weekly, so good on you if you can get some clicks for it! Thanks!
