The Drop: New PlayStation Games for 2/21/2017

Ryan Clements's Avatar Posted by Senior Specialist, SIEA Social Media

It’s been more than 10 years since the world was first introduced to the intrepid Psychonauts! Now, with the Grand Head of the Psychonauts Truman Zannotto in peril, Raz (a newly minted agent) and his friends must stage a daring rescue — in virtual reality! Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin is out next week on PS VR.

Set directly after the cult classic, Rhombus of Ruin drops players directly into the head of Raz as he works to save the team using his psychic powers. Trapped in the Rhombus of Ruin, our brave hero has precious little time to rescue Zannotto, foil the mysterious villain, and protect the Psychonauts from going mad within the confines of the deadly Rhombus!

Nice flash sale but seems like you forgot to post about it and forgot to post about half of the games? I mean it seems to be missing a ton of games in this flash sale.

Anyway hope for more survival games in psn soon in the next week, might check out Vaccine thats all this week.

And please consider bringing BLACK as a ps2 classic (or BC compatibility as xbox!)

Flash sale? Didn’t know about it! Will go take a look at it in a few minutes, thanks!

Weird that Sony don’t want to update the blog for every piece of news, it could be even more usefull! :)

The PlayStation Blog has a big post for the Flash Sale. It’s pretty easy to find:

@ theholyghostuk. +1 for you! I’m with you.

They have Brian Fujimoto doing the blogs for Flash Sales. We need this guy on Store Updates too. I bet he could do a great job on the Drop as well.

Nice to see 2 VR games coming this week! Hoping this trend will continue and that VR games will come in dozens! :)

Prices in this blog post would be appreciated. :/ …or the return of the PS Store updates blog post, like a lot of people asked in the comments already in the latests weeks.

They made their decision, which wouldn’t be that bad and people wouldn’t complain IF they had done one simple post saying they were gonna do it. Instead they didn’t tell anyone and never reply to anything on the Drop anymore. So make your decision to still see the post every Tuesday as normal on Playstation Lifestyle

Flash Sale up now! Of course you wouldn’t know it from the posts on the Blog!

Tjoeb123 said:

To those complaining about the lack of store update posts….

Why can’t you just check the New This Week section on the PlayStation Store? It only take a few clicks/taps, and is updated first before the blog posts actually went live.

Seriously, it’s not that hard.

    Ajanma said:

    February 17th, 3:30 pm

Because sometimes there are price errors or a sale price doesnt get applied right away. I like to know the price at checkout is the intended price, rather than guess that the price listed is discounted from what it normally is since i don’t watch every single item’s price every single week to compare changes manually.

    personausermike said:

    February 17th, 3:57 pm

Or for those who like to see it on one page without waving through 3 pages of avatars and themes, we can all go to Playstation Lifestyle on Tuesday and see the same post we used to see on one page. Games, demos, dlc and prices

    Tjoeb123 said:

    February 17th, 11:01 pm

    @Ajanma

Then just wait until late in the afternoon or something. Like, 3-4PM EST.

    God-Of-Lyf said:

    February 22nd, 11:37 pm

Why even have a drop? I mean its so easy for everyone to just check the store on Tuesday. Get over yourself. Without the store update post there is zero reason to continue coming to the blog. Lord knows if you had a question it would go unanswered because they dont have time for that. Its pathetic that we have to just live with the fact that useful info has been abandoned. I bet it will be back once Sony realize that their wallet isnt as fat as it used to be. Im not going digging for whats new when there is no reason but being lazy that its not posted here instead of having to go to a non sony website for the info that should be here in the first place. I mean, does Sony even still run the place anymore? Or is it Ryans playground now…!

Please add external HDD plug and play support to the PS3. I have 370 digital PS3 games and my 1.5TB internal HDD can only fit 210 games. I would love to download my additional 160 games. Also, when is PS4 update 4.50 coming out? Please do a video explaining the features and restriction of it. I have a lot of questions. I am familiar with the X360 and XB1 plug and play support but I do not know how different or similar it will be.

1. Can games I installed on the external HDD be accessed from another PS4 if I am logged into PSN? If yes, what about between a PS4 and PS4 Pro?
2. Does the HDD still need to be FAT32 or exFAT?
3. Can I use multiple external HDD either concurrently or consecutively? Lets say my original HDD gets filled up.
4. Can I access games installed on the external HDD from my primary PS4 if I am offline?

Thanks

    Kevvik said:

PS3 isn’t dead, it’s living with the Vita in a low rent apartment after Dad (Sony) kicked them out of the house because they still wanted attention after the new kid came along.

So ignoring the PlayStation Lifestyle troll. If you like that place so much then leave here and dont bother to comment here. Its funny i found the flash sale in store with a simple click at 1130 am my time on Friday i didnt need a blog post or a website to tell me. Something with store update posts.

Anyways looking though this i see so much PC and IPhone ports guess sony is the king of Ports.

nikki_boagreis said:

February 19th, 1:52 am

Gosh golly, a flash sale because they never have flash sales and i suppose you needed a reminder about it. The ps store updates the same day for every region and flash sales are usually the same time frame every month, you needed a blog for a reminder but you didn’t need a reminder to come here ranting and raving about PlayStation Lifestyle. Gosh golly i wonder why Sony representatives don’t reply on the drop anymore, not like everyone else who doesn’t either. Probably just laughing at everyone who still post here and don’t even bother posting themselves. I wouldn’t post either but im tired of reading all these rant post, people don’t just do stuff for no reason like not post here, they don’t post here because of rant post about how every detail needs improved. Because that wasn’t obvious enough without me spelling it out. Gosh golly!!!

BahumatIsBack said:

WTF happened to my account? Several years of purchases are missing. It only shows what I have from 2013 and back. Anything more recent shows as not purchased and not in my download list. Easily a couple thousand dollars worth of purchases. Get your act together.

Rites_Of_Drugula said:

Can someone tell me what happened to the STORE UPDATE blog posts? The ones where they used to CONVENIENTLY pack every new release and sales for each week.

    MrBeens said:

    February 21st, 5:14 pm

Two months ago they said that they were not going to do the update posts anymore, and that they were just going update the drop posts on tuesday with the store information.

Since then, they’ve followed through on not posting the updates, yet also never bothered to update the drop posts. And they’ve completely ignored the countless posts of everyone asking where the updates went.

Rites_Of_Drugula said:

February 21st, 5:26 pm

Thanks for the reply. I think this has to do with a type of censorship. The kind in which, in order to avoid bad feedback (that in turn affect sales), they gradually remove the option for costumers to voice their concerns. Or at least make the process as convoluted as possible until the client gives up. Which is really worrying, seeing them take this cynical corporation path.

Another example: Sony gives LBP3 for PS PLUS users, the game’s multiplayer is completely broken. Then suddenly, the U.S forums which were plagued by people asking for answers for over 2 years, gets canned. Now if you want to make a post about LBP, you have to go to the forums in Europe.

So yes, it’s not strange to see them take away those CONVENIENT posts, because they are windows in which their users can express their dissatisfaction, which in turn gives any given product a bad name and ultimately is reflected in less purchases.

extreme_ver1 said:

Is anyone else noticing all the spelling and grammar mistakes in these posts lately? I’m not sure if it’s indicative of Sony’s quality control issues of late or just someone who doesn’t care writing them; but as a fan of Sony’s PlayStation brand, I find this unsettling and a concern for where the company is heading.
