I have been really impressed with how many great Indie Games have been coming to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Store lately and at decent price points as well..

Anyone know if Period:Shackles of Amadeus is a Visual novel, or one of those Otome games

    AizawaYuuichi said:

    April 22nd, 12:34 pm

It’s an otome visual novel with choice-based combat, apparently. Here’s the website. > aksysgames.com/pcube/

    whereymyconary said:

Otome are visual novels. Kind of like rectangle is a square but a square is not a rectangle. Otome are just visual novels that have male cast dating emphasis.

“Heroin”

Ha ha, Ryan! I’m guessing that’s the publisher’s copy.

Is Puyo Puyo Tetris really not digital? That’s a bummer. I’m looking forward to that game a lot and hope it’s available digitally some day.

100% of ps4 are digital at release. that a rule for ps4. they can delist it later and keep physical only.

    randybruder said:

    April 22nd, 1:39 am

“100% of ps4 are digital at release.”

    That’s already false

    Elk_mistral said:

    April 22nd, 5:52 am

nope that a fact for ps4 game, vs 50% are physical and digital (including indie). sony told publisher all game release for ps4 need to have a digital version. That why game like Kingdoms heart have a digital version on ps4 and never had a ps3 digital version.

    Elk_mistral said:

    April 22nd, 5:55 am

im not talking about compilation of game. each game got a digital release seperatly.

    Ageguyera21 said:

    April 22nd, 6:27 am

Elk, you’re mistaken on this one. Puyo Puyo Tetris wasn’t even digital when it came out in Japan like 3 years ago on PS4. It’s some weird rights issue. Also, Guitar Hero Live wasn’t released digitally because you HAD to buy the disc because that was the only way to get the required guitar peripheral.

    njcuevas said:

    April 22nd, 6:56 am

Yeah it because of a rights issue but since I own a Switch I’ll just buy it digital from nintendo

    Elk_mistral said:

i see… probably because ubisoft owning tetris copyright presently

Dragon Quest 2, Little Nightmares & What remain of edith finch for Ps4
Outlast 2, Outlast Trinity, Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, Syberia 3 for XB1
And Puyo Puyo Tetris on my brand new switch

damn its a great time to be a gamer

    LOCO209 said:

    April 21st, 7:53 pm

You mean 7 games as Outlast 2 is a part of Outlast Trinity. ;) . But that’s awesome you have the time and energy to spread it out between 3 systems though bro. I have an PSPRO, Vita and a PSVR and barely have time for those. :0
That’s a lot of games in the DROP! Woot woot.
Definitely a great time to be a gamer, so many games and so little time. This gen my backlog is insane… :)

I know Portal Knights isn’t out until 5/2 but the demo is now on the PS Store! It’s really fun and I highly recommend it. Also, it has split-screen COOP!! However split-screen COOP doesn’t work in the demo. The game is seriously a better more charming graphic Minecraft with RPG elements, lock-on and bosses. Day one buy for my son and I!

    CrusaderForever said:

    April 21st, 3:05 pm

Crap, Portal Knights doesn’t come out until 5/23. Supposedly COOP does work in the demo however I haven’t figured it out yet.

    CrusaderForever said:

    April 21st, 3:14 pm

Right in the upper right hand corner it says Options to add local player haha! My bad, it’s there and COOP is great!

    mangafansam said:

Buy Dragon Quest Builders, it and Portal Knights are very similar

WOW! Syberia 3!! Day one buy!

    Tatanka2007 said:

    April 21st, 7:53 pm

I really liked the first Syberia. The second was okay. The third one has gotten pretty mediocre reviews so far. Make sure you look into this since unlike Steam you can’t refund.

Major beefs are so-so graphics, animations worse than MEA, weak voice-acting, and a forgettable story. I refunded the Steam version after an hour with it. It’s just not worth the price of admission. I wish that had not been the case….

For modern adventure gaming, Silence is good although it’s way too short for the asking price….

I wish these games could each have a PSN store page up by the time this post comes out. Even if there’s nothing there except a “coming in 6 days” marker. I know for sure there are some small games I’ve lost track of because they had no store page to put on my wishlist.

Fuhr31 said:

Some of these look like they might be interesting, but to be honest, i’ll likely never know. Why arent there links to gameplay videos or previews or even the store page? This doesn’t seem like it would be a difficult feature to add, but i may be wrong.

Pretty interesting games. I’ve always been curious about Sniper Ghost Warrior and had no idea Outlast 2 was coming out but I might have to check it out. I have $60 total in psn gift cards and have been having a severe itch for BF1 now (but I just can’t justify spending $60 on it at this point and desperately want it to go on sale). Persona 5 looks amazing too and so does the Kingdom Hearts collection. Rime actually looks pretty cool but I’ve had my fill with Breath of The Wild so idk…I’m torn on what to get…I wanna make this $60 count.

project_redsuns said:

Aside from the Vita Releases and River City, the rest is meh. And why the hell is Hamster Corp. giving us the crappy Neo Geo Games when the Switch got Samurai Shodown 4 and KOF 98, as well as Xbox One getting Fatal Fury 2? Anyone wanna answer that?

Any idea why Deathstate is on the US store, but can’t be found or purchased on the Canadian store? That was at the top of my list this week, so it’s super disappointing to see it missing on the Canadian store.

Flying Bunny – Wonder Boy return – Deadstate ..

Some indie seem to not care about canadian market since they have an insertion fee for canada

Outlast 2 on the PS Store is $39.99 Canadian, while it’s $32.99 Canadian on Steam, and $29.99 Canadian on Xbox One. I want Sony to explain why there’s a $10 difference for the same exact game on 2 different platforms.
