PS Plus: Free Games for November

Worms Battlegrounds and Bound headline this month's lineup.

James Hallahan's Avatar Posted by PlayStation Plus

Greetings, PlayStation Plus members. November is another huge month, so strap in and get ready!

As we continue to celebrate the one year anniversary of PS VR*, we are giving PlayStation Plus members another bonus PlayStation VR game. From November 7 through January 2, PlayStation Plus members in the U.S., Canada, and most of Latin America can download Until Dawn: Rush of Blood as a bonus game. Get ready for the most disturbing roller coaster ride you’ll ever take in this trigger-happy arcade shooter.

Now, let’s move on to your Playstation Plus free games lineup for November. First up, Worms Battlegrounds brings friends and family together in the noble pursuit of mayhem! Join multiplayer matches where each turn is full of questionable decisions, high-powered weaponry, and exploding sheep.

Next up — Bound. This platformer transports you into a beautiful, fantastical world that exists in the mind of a woman revisiting the memories of her childhood. Bound combines a unique visual style with a powerful story and gameplay mechanics infused with modern dance. As the game progresses, the introspective story unfolds through powerful metaphor and imagery.

This month’s PlayStation Plus lineup also includes:

  • R-Type Dimensions, PS3
  • Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic, PS3
  • Dungeon Punks, PS Vita (Cross Buy with PS4)
  • Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse (Episodes 1 & 2), PS Vita

Lastly, we have hundreds of games on sale right now at PlayStation Store — and PS Plus members get double the discount. The three we are most excited for are Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix (20%; 40% off for PS Plus members), Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 (15%; 30% off for PS Plus members), and Horizon Zero Dawn (22%; 44% off for PS Plus members). Stock up on some new games for the holidays, but grab ’em before the sale ends on November 7 at 8AM Pacific

Thanks, and see you next month!

*PlayStation 4 system, PlayStation VR, and PlayStation Camera are required to experience VR functionality..

I have to say, I am very disappointed, especially for the PS3 games. I can go to Gamestop and get many absolutely amazing games for $2.99 each. I pay $60 a year for my PS3 membership. Please step up and throw us a bone at least once every quarter. I’m seriously considering canceling my membership.

So due to VR, which I honestly don’t really care for, there are less games on the other systems each month. Ah well, very rarely are they good games anyway. Still haven’t even sat down and played last months games and those were good. But I’ve never heard of any of these except Rush of Blood.

Why do people always get so upset about the November and December free games? They are not going to give away aaa titles two of their biggest sales months Of the year.

Disappointing month in my eyes I have been wanting bound and it could be nice but not really enjoying the other games a bonus VR game is decent but I dont have VR and dont play to pick one up unless it was 100 bucks. Not wiling to drop a ton of cash on another bundle. Other games I have no interest in.

Frankly? Disappointed with the game selection! Does not merit the 1 month wait for most of the gaming community. In all fairness though, Worms is a nice edition, specially if you have followed the series like I have. Apart from that, I know the game list could have greatly been improved for example adding The Evil Within or perhaps Resident Evil 6 to at least keep the fans at the edge of their seats but hey! Free games right?

I think every ps+ that comes out you should try and judge for yourself i try about every ps+ that comes out some games i dont because they dont look appealing but i bring myself to try an like i thought life is strange would be a bad game (cause i hardly look at reviews) but i played 1 episode and i fell in love and played all episodes and got some feels but i enjoyed it but this was long and im just saying try the game and judge for yourself.

Trash. Glad I sold my PS4, regardless of how much membership time I had left. Sony has gotten WAY too greedy and stingy with the free games. They used to give us quality titles. Oh well, I’ll be happy to find my entertainment with other companies from now on :)

… I’m not trying to sound rude, not in the slightest but… PS4 did get 4 months straight of Retail titles… okay one of them pushes the “Retail” part but still it was far from an Indie Game. July had Just Cause 3 for free, August had Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry, September had InFamous Second Son, and October had Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. I can’t imagine let alone recall a greater line-up of free games that was given on the PS4 ever since I purchased my system over 2 years ago. You ask for “One good month for PS plus” yet we had 4 straight months that featured 4 arguably good games. I suppose you could be just referring to PS3 or Vita, but honestly, I think it should be accepted at this point that any games free on those platforms should be seen as a treat regardless for owners who still use and support the systems. But if you’re saying this for the sake of the PS4, I have to ask the question. Where were you for the past 4 months?

    mattblood221 said:

    November 7th, 7:09 am

Spi3000 not to be rude but Just Cause 3 came out the same month for Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry so it didnt come out in July in came out in August Until Dawn came out in July with Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series, Tokyo Jungle

Wow alot of people crying over free games. Don’t want em, don’t download them sinple. “But I pay for PS+ I deserve better games.” Actually you pay for the service which lets you play online with friends. The free monthly ganes are there to sweeten the pot. And if you want to cancel your plus subscription because they’re not giving you what you want then bye go to Microsoft, Sony will continue to do things their way whether you’re subscribed or not. And newsflash They are already ahead of the competition so they must be doing something right.

“Actually you pay for the service which lets you play online with friends. The free monthly games are there to sweeten the spot.” , that’s incorrect PS Plus offers several benefits. It is a whole package of those benefits, the free monthly games are not there to sweeten any imaginary spot they are part of the benefits. I’d rather pay online only plan subscription ($20 a year) than pay for a package of benefits that I will rarely benefit from/ use.

I think multiplayer should be free like it was with PS3. I rarely play online games on PS anymore so the free games are the only thing I am interested in. I have destiny 2 and overwatch on PC, because how well can you really play a FPS without a mouse and keyboard.

I think multiplayer should be free (like it used to be) and the PS Plus lineup needs to be more appealing.

I would recommend not having any free games November and December and just making PS Plus free for those months. That way you get players hooked on the “should be free” multiplayer part of ps plus without having to compete with AAA games. Maybe 25% of people with PS Plus appreciate the games for this month. I don’t think you want to have 25% customer satisfaction on one of your more profitable products(PS PLUS). You could even keep charging the same annual fee and just give us better games. I would drop PS3 games altogether if that helps you bring in better PS4 games. I have a PS3 and I never boot it up. I am just too lazy to cancel my PS Plus service right now but if we continue to get random months with horrible games I will not continue PS plus much longer. I can get bargain bin games for next to nothing and just use my PC for multiplayer games(seeing as it is free). If I am getting games on PC might as well get an XBOX where games are cross platform with “play anywhere”.

    Spi3000 said:

“if we continue to get random months with horrible games I will not continue PS plus much longer.”

The way you say that makes it sound like the past 4 months at least have been bad. If this is at all true, I have to heavily disagree. During those months we got Just Cause 3, Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry, InFamous Second Son, and last month was Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Now I understand that everyone has different opinions about games that are considered popular in the mass, like the Last of Us, I think it’s not that great of a game despite people praising it as one of the best games ever made. That being said if the Last of Us were to become a freebie (or already has) I would think that would still be a good PS+ Freebie. It was never a game for me, I’ve mention this to a lot of people that I am not big into Zombie survival. But even I can’t deny that the game has a huge audience. So final note, if you honestly didn’t like any of the recent games, that’s fine not every fan favorite game has to appeal to everyone. But when a game is critically acclaimed and loved by thousands if not millions of fans around the world, and is given away free, exactly how mad can you be?

shooticide said:

November 2nd, 5:35 am

I’m just glad that the free lineup are games i dont already own. Since May, every free ps plus game that came out i already owned.

Spi3000 said:

November 2nd, 5:52 am

I suppose it was a matter of time that the AAA Free Games would end at some point. But for better or worse, we got some damn good freebies in the past few months. Just Cause 3, Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry, InFamous Second Son, and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Worms may not seem as high as those games… well maybe people will see Worms higher than Freedom Cry, but my point in this comment, despite all the lame games that were given free after that price increase, I cannot deny the games we’ve received recently were much worthy of that $60 subscription. And even though I’ll still welcome Worms in open arms, I hope to see even more free high end Retail games in the future for PS+ members.
