I’m absolutely going to. The beta was super fun.

    Konami did nothing wrong.

Well, enjoy your overpriced reskin of MGS5 while it lasts. Won’t take long for the servers to dry up.

    MGSV is awesome.

True, the servers might not be around forever, that means I better buy it day 1. Good call.

Agreed, not buying Survive simply because you don’t like the fallout of Kojima and Konami is silly to say the least. Reusing assets from a previous game to craft a new experience isn’t a new idea, and it’s actually fun from what I played in the beta. Give it a shot this weekend with the final beta before you jump to conclusions.

Nope to Metal Gear for me.
Could have had MGS6 instead, or a better MGS5, if they didn’t push Kojima out, and probably during development(at least informally).

I will remember the MGS series for what it was, a masterpiece(except for 5… Snake Eater being the best imo)

Fatal Bullet looks interesting. But I wonder if it’ll be another Lost Song, just not up to par.
I’ll keep my eye on it.

    Loving all the psvr content!

You weren’t a getting a MGS6 three years after MGSV anyway. Survive is just a supplement game in between major releases. Since Konami owns Metal Gear they can still make a MG6 with any director they pick. It might be harder to market without Kojima but it’s their call to make.

I’ve played the hell out of every metal gear since I had the original on my old Nintendo when I was 10. And I’m getting survive right away. Reasons being it’s fun. I love the buttery smooth fox engine. As someone who has well over 300 hours into mgsv campaign I could run around on those maps all day. And in this day of PvP shooters co-op gameplay is not as common. I don’t like konami any more than anyone else but my hope is if they can make some money on this maybe they will do some remakes or even a mgs6 one day. Or maybe this will be the last metal gear title and our last chance to play the fox engine.

Haha MGS Survive…konami ain’t even trying anymore, poor game will be as much of a success as umbrella corps.Hope konami learns the lesson…doubt though.

Some games this week look interesting…gotta check gameplay.

I think you’re letting things get away from you. You can’t even begin to compare the possible success of MGS with the absolute money-grabbing failure of Umbrella Corps. Umbrella Corps was a failure just from a gameplay standpoint whereas MGSurvive is using the same gameplay framework that made MGS:TPP a game you could play hours on just based on the gameplay itself. I’m not saying MGSurvive is going to be revolutionary with a short campaign, but it’ll be fun to drop in and play just like the beta was.
