Players’ Choice: Vote for March 2018’s Best New Game

Far Cry 5, MLB The Show 18, Ni no Kuni II, A Way Out... it's time to cast your vote for the best game of March 2018!

March was a good month for video games, huh? Ambitious co-op adventure A Way Out won many hearts and minds, freewheeling shooter Far Cry 5 somehow topped the madness of prior installments, baseball sim MLB The Show 18 continued to define the genre, and the long-awaited JRPG sequel Ni no Kuni II dazzled. All in all, March’s lineup had something for just about every type of gamer — we even got an excellent new rhythm / music game in DJMax Respect!

But only one of these titles can claim the Players’ Choice crown. We’ve compiled quite the list of nominees, but the final decision lies with you.

You might have noticed this month’s poll is opening a bit later than usual — there’s a good reason for that! We’re gathering a group of editors from PlayStation.Blog and PlayStation Store to decide what their favorite games in the past three months have been. We’ll reveal those Editor’s Choice picks alongside this month’s Players’ Choice winner soon.

Read on for rules and more details, or keep scrolling down to cast your vote. The poll closes at 11:59pm Pacific on Tuesday, April 10!

How does it work? At the end of every month, PlayStation.Blog will open a poll where you can vote for the best new game released that month. Soon thereafter, we’ll close the polls, tally your votes, and announce the winner at PlayStation.Blog. PlayStation Store will also showcase some top Players’ Choice winners throughout the year.

What is the voting criteria? That’s up to you! If you were only able to recommend one new release to a friend that month, which would it be? In keeping with our long tradition in the Game of the Year Awards, remastered or re-released games won’t qualify. Larger-scale rebuilds and remakes like Shadow of the Colossus and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will.

How are nominees decided? The PlayStation.Blog and PlayStation Store editorial teams will gather a list of that month’s most noteworthy releases and use it to seed the poll. Write-in votes will be accepted.
