E3 is almost here and I’m excited to announce that the PlayStation E3 Experience is returning! Join us on Monday June 11th in theaters across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and – new this year – Chile!

This is the fifth year we’re broadcasting our E3 Showcase live to theaters. Experiencing the excitement of E3 alongside the PlayStation community brings a new dimension to the event, which is difficult to fully explain… this video might help.

Attendees this year will take home an exclusive poster and some other goodies. Want more than just physical swag? We’ve got you covered — everyone will also get a digital gift basket chock-full of treats. This year digital goods will be distributed via the Experience PlayStation app, so make sure to download it before you arrive at the theater if you want to redeem them immediately.

Sounds great, how do I attend?

Tickets are free and will be available at starting on Tuesday, June 5th at 11:00 AM PDT while supplies last. Check back here for the link. I highly recommend setting a reminder, because once the tickets are gone – they’re gone. This year tickets for all regions will be available at the same ticketing site.

Registering for a ticket will reserve your seat as long as you check in at the theater 30 minutes before show time. If you don’t check in by this time your seat will be released to non-ticketed fans (who have queued for a seat) on a first-come first-served basis.

Please note: Attendees must be 17 years of age or older to attend this event (18+ in Brazil). A valid form of ID providing age will be required to enter.

I didn’t get a ticket, what now?

Those without tickets can queue at the theater starting two hours before showtime. You will not be able to line up earlier than this. Open seats will be given out to those in the queue on a first-come first-served basis starting 30 minutes before the show starts.

    I have gone every year, was going to bring a few friends that have never been. Can’t believe no theaters in San Antonio! Bummer, for sure.

    WOW! NO E3 San Fransisco theater experience this year?

    BUMMER, my oldest son and I have been going every year since the beginning and I was hoping to get one more in with him before he leaves for basic training at the end of JUNE..
    Well hopefully the list is updated with some more theaters cause this list is kinda tiny compared to years past…
    Again WHAT a BUMMER!

    6 hour drive not worth it…..

    Really depressed about this since I have always gone to these… wish they would have gone with cinemark again since that is in our area….

    is there any possibility for any willing local theaters to host it ???

    I’ve been going for the past 3 years to the venue in Rockville MD and it was always a blast and a unique experience I’ll never forget! Please bring back Rockville!!!

    I wish there was more threaters really disappointed there not as many this year and I’m not the only one that is. So many people look forward to e3 and this event why ruin it by not having it at as many threaters, does it really cost that much?

    Extremely disappointed at the removal of a bunch of NA theaters. It was already nearly impossible to get a seat, now I absolutely won’t be able to go, especially if it’s using the same garbage service for ticket distribution as last year that crashed for 30 hours straight.

      I was reading those comments from last year recently. What a mess that was! Made me think they wouldn’t do it again this year. Glad they are still doing it but now they need to add more theaters.

      The fact they haven’t announced what site they’re using makes me optimistic they’re probably going back to eventgrid. But who knows. I’m just disappointed that this is the first one i’m gonna miss because they decided my city wasn’t good enough despite being packed every year. Hopefully the digital rewards aren’t too good this year, otherwise i’m gonna feel awful for not taking that 8 hour drive to houston, lol.

    So many states missing from this list. Sony why would you make it so difficult for fans to want to come out and be excited. I have gone the past three years running but your shameful decision to snub so much of the country means I won’t even bother making the effort. E3 is the time of year to celebrate your fans and consumers and want to involve them as much as possible. This feels like a slap in the face and I’m both hurt and disappointed.

    Unfortunately I missed the previous events in Bellevue, WA, so when I friend mentioned it to me, I was so excited to finally go this year. What a big surprise when WA was not one of the states that will be hosting it. What gives Sony? Microsoft is based here so you should show your fans how much you mean to them. I’ve been a PlayStation player since the PS2 and would love to check all the new games out with fellow Sony fans. Come on and add WA to the list. Thanks!

    What happened to the location in Sunset Place in Florida? I’ve been there every year I’ve been able to and you guys just removed it?

    It was part of the original venues, it’s always packed, and near a major city of Miami.

    Lame…I was really looking forward to seeing PS Experience in theaters again like last year (missed the year before)

    The previous 3 years have been filled with great memories; attending a show each of those years in the Cincinnati area with 10-20 friends. It truly made E3 an experience. I am saddened to find it won’t be coming to my area this year, but I do understand the logistic side of it. Hopefully come next year you will be able to bring it back to the Cincinnati area.

      Why don’t you go to the Columbus one? I’ve gone to both Cincy and Columbus and I think Columbus is better and I’m in Dayton making the drive up there. I hope to be there once again this year. You and your friends should travel that way

      @neutral chaos call Sony! I’m posting everywhere I can that they are taking any and all feedback! If enough people express disappointment and contact them and let them know they might do more theaters! The rep told me that that list isint finalized.
      I called customer support for reference.

    Bad news guys… this is was I was told

    So as recommended I called and asked why the number of theaters are so low this year. According to a boss that my operator was able to talk to the reason why they are not where they would normally be is because the theaters would not lease slots to them because they were not making enough money to satisfy; they would rather have a movie that people would go see and more importantly buy snacks. So this is not a Sony problem apparently, but a theater issue.

    I really hope this does not mean there is no hope for more places to be added, but it does make sense from a business standpoint.

      PlayStation could have made fans pay 20 -40 buck to support the theaters that excuses not selling enough is just not true a lot of people at my theater had bought popcorn and one year I went at one guy spent 500 on popcorn and gave out to people at the door being nice

      I call bogus if they really said that. My local chain rents out theaters to private parties all the time. It’s 100 dollars for two hours, I’m sure it’d be cheaper for a corporation like Sony to send people there. I’m in Phoenix, I could go set this up for them if they want lol

    Come on Sony.
    This is a big missed opportunity for you as a company, you have such a great following in the video games market. With some of the loyalist fans in the industry.
    Microsoft and Nintendo have nothing like this for their fans, i have been to these events every year and there are literally line ups outside the cinemas just hoping to get a spare seat.

    Increase the seats and theatres and your fans will love you for it.

    Wow this is so unfair I went for the last three years here in Fort Lauderdale to the Sawgrass movie theater to be able to have this experience and now I was looking so forward to another year to hang out with PlayStation fans cuz I’m a huge PlayStation fan and I look forward to this every year and now they’re not even having it here only in Orlando and Jacksonville which are 4 hours away from me they had shows the last three years in Fort Lauderdale and Miami and now they don’t this is just terrible

    Omg I’m so mad what happen to regal Cinema Sawgrass 23 movie theater Fort Lauderdale Florida you guys have had it there since it started I have been to every one and it’s always a packed out show people even waiting that can’t get in I don’t get it it seems like the way this list is cut down this year just seems very disrespectful to Sony fans we all want to be able to be in company of other Sony fans and enjoy this great experience together if anything delicious always be attitude not taken away from please Sony Rectify this before the 5th

    It sucks that we don’t know what site will be used for registration. Is it the Gofobo website again? Also, I wonder if the changes to the conference are the reason they’re not widely showing in theaters. Anyway, Sony should have implemented a PSVR exclusive E3 showing to appease fans and drum up sales.
