PlayStation E3 Experience 2018: Live in Theaters June 11

Can't make it to E3 this year? Don’t sweat it – find a participating theater near you and watch the festivities on the big screen.

Update: Tickets are live! Click here to get yours, but note that they are limited. If you don’t snag one, see below for more information about how you may still be able to attend.

E3 is almost here and I’m excited to announce that the PlayStation E3 Experience is returning! Join us on Monday June 11th in theaters across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and – new this year – Chile!

This is the fifth year we’re broadcasting our E3 Showcase live to theaters. Experiencing the excitement of E3 alongside the PlayStation community brings a new dimension to the event, which is difficult to fully explain… this video might help.

Attendees this year will take home an exclusive poster and some other goodies. Want more than just physical swag? We’ve got you covered — everyone will also get a digital gift basket chock-full of treats. This year digital goods will be distributed via the Experience PlayStation app, so make sure to download it before you arrive at the theater if you want to redeem them immediately.

Sounds great, how do I attend?

Tickets are free and will be available at starting on Tuesday, June 5th at 11:00 AM PDT while supplies last. Check back here for the link. I highly recommend setting a reminder, because once the tickets are gone – they’re gone. This year tickets for all regions will be available at the same ticketing site.

Registering for a ticket will reserve your seat as long as you check in at the theater 30 minutes before show time. If you don’t check in by this time your seat will be released to non-ticketed fans (who have queued for a seat) on a first-come first-served basis.

Please note: Attendees must be 17 years of age or older to attend this event (18+ in Brazil). A valid form of ID providing age will be required to enter.

I didn’t get a ticket, what now?

Those without tickets can queue at the theater starting two hours before showtime. You will not be able to line up earlier than this. Open seats will be given out to those in the queue on a first-come first-served basis starting 30 minutes before the show starts.

  • I was here exactly when the tickets went live and have been refreshing. How the heck is Boston already sold out? Stinks, I’m going to miss is this year.

  • Got mine, with reference number. Yay.

  • SOLD OUT in under 3 minutes!! Totally rigged

  • Wow, guys, this sucks. You add a new country, but decide to exclude a whole bunch of cities in the US, some of them BIG Market areas? As someone who’s attended the past couple years in the SF Bay Area, it really makes me sad that you couldn’t be bothered to reserve theaters here. And it can’t be because it’s Regal, not AMC… we have a lot of Regals up here. Y’all suddenly stop caring about your fans or something?

    • An earlier comment said that he talked to support and apparently, the theaters that aren’t hosting this year refused to due to not making enough money off of the event.

    • Then I wished they would just charge a movie ticket price. Fans have said that for a couple of years and I would have no problem with it. My problem is with the fact that they decided to cancel venues by sticking to ‘free’ versus going that route to offer the event to more of their diehard fanbase.

  • Just reserved and locked in my 4

  • Just registered for my tickets. This will be year 4 for me. Cant wait!!!

    • Do you know if the name matters? I booked it for my bro and he won’t be able to make it apparently.

    • Yes Dying_blade, it does. Unless for whatever reason they do not check your guests ID. As far as I know they have always checked for me and my plus 1.

  • Anyone get their confirmation email yet?

  • The link went up about at 1:58pm EST and was active immediately to book

  • Are you serious?? The freaking tickets went live before 11:00 am and sold out before the time allowed. Who was allow to do that? Because now everyone who waited till 11 stood no chance. :( .

  • They just “went live” with the tickets and they are already sold out…

  • That was way too easy compared to last year LOL

  • this is BS how do you screw something up this simple. You said at 2 eastern it would be up so I came two eastern and it was sold out.

  • This will be my fifth time in a row i’ll be going, this year getting a ticket was a piece of cake.

  • So I got 2 tickets and have a registration number and all but I have not received my confirmation email?? Anyone else have this problem. All the info I have them is correct.

  • Mine was incredibly easy. No issues whatsoever. See ya’ll in Houston!

  • Got 2 for NY 14th st, no email yet.

  • God it feels good to not live in an overpopulated city. Got two tickets with time to spare. #thanoswasright

  • Got my confirmation email as well. I’m good to go.

  • Got my email! See you in Las Vegas, folks.

  • Nvm , just got the email.

  • This year was definitely easier than last year especially. What I’ve learnt with these tickets is you can’t afford to come on time and expect to get a ticket (as silly as it sounds). You need to be here at least 15 minutes before to get yourself signed into Playstation.com and whatever else because you don’t know where they’ll post the tickets for sale.

  • BOOM! Super fast internet, Super fast Alienware computer, Perfectly timed refresh, Super fast typing = 2 for Philly.

    • 12 year old computer, decent speed internet, good timed refresh, terribly slow typing = 3 for chicago :D

  • Reserved tickets and got a registration number. Still no email though. How long till we can expect to receive it?

  • Haven’t gotten a email yet

  • Wow Montreal sold out at 2 on the dot. Hope it’s a error.

    • nope they put the tickets up a few minutes before when they said they would. So those got on exactly at the time posted, didn’t have a chance. Guess we need to show up early next year.

    • Keep trying. I got this message but kept trying and moments later actually got in. These online events are weird. I was reloading the page more than half an hour before the scheduled time and the browser only had the link a couple of minutes LATE, while it was up for others…

  • Checked on the site , clicked on the link and chose the theater.

  • Two of us were trying to get them, I saw the link clicked on it and said “they are up.” My friend clicked right away and they were already sold out.

  • Email took about 10 mins to receive.

  • Got two tickets for Union square NYC yay !

  • boston was sold out before the clock even said 2:01. hopefully this is just a glitch and those of us on the waitlist will get a follow up email saying we have tickets.

showing up at the theater and hoping for the best on the waitlist puts us at the risk of missing the e3 presentation entirely if we don’t end up getting in.

    • I seen people saying that tickets went live a couple minutes earlier then when they said they would. So ya we missed out because of it. Guess next year I’ll sit here and keep refreshing for a hour beforehand.

    • @ariost
Isint that sonys fault then since that means they straight up lied on the website.

    • @Souledge94 Oh 100% definitely, but I doubt they’ll do anything about it. I’m not happy about it either.

  • Hey so i got my tickets but haven’t received a confirmation email. Can I get help please?

  • Question: I’m bringing a guest and I wasn’t sure on who as I have several friends and I have to confirm dates. I put a placeholder name in for the guest, as it wasn’t required last year. Will they be able to get in?

  • wow this gives me flashbacks of when IF released a limited edition of their game and it was sold out the second it came out somehow.

  • Lol tickets went crazy fast but luckily there were 2 theaters close to me they are hosting so i got into the second one and put myself on the waiting list for the other just in case, much smoother experience this year Sony nice job

  • 2:00 on the dot. Both NY locations sold out.

  • I managed to get through but haven’t yet recieved a confirmation e-mail. Should I be worried?

  • Was sold out in Boston at 1:59 pm. Looks like I’m skipping this one, sadly.

  • Everyone that has “sold out” messages, try again later. It’s possible that some tickets hadn’t yet been released. If they are sold out, then get on the waiting list and make sure you get there first.

  • I got mine for Ohio and did a second one to make sure!!!!

  • Not broken this year awesome. UT needs another venue sold out in the first minute and some weren’t after ten, anyway to track the timing of when tickets sold out?

  • I’M SOOOO EXCITED, I JUST CAN’T HIDE IT! I’M ABOUT TO LOSE CONTROL AND I THINK I LIKE IT! :) See you in Philly :*

  • I refreshed the page when it was about 2 minutes till, just in case. Looks like I was right!

  • Did anyone get their confirmation email? I still didn’t get one.

  • No wait-list confirmation emails?

  • None in Virginia!

  • Sweet, got tickets to the one in Boston for my boyfriend and I. Can’t wait!! My friend also tried to get one right as we did to come with us, but they were gone so fast he missed it :(

  • Still no confirmation email. Also was anyone else limited to only getting one ticket?

  • I haven’t received any confirmation emails yet. It’s been about 20 minutes since I registered. I’m hoping that it’s a slow email server response. I did print my registration verification with my number. I’m not sure if that will work should emails fail to be delivered.

  • Just got the email saying come 2 hours early for waiting list. No hope for Montreal.
