E3 is almost here and I’m excited to announce that the PlayStation E3 Experience is returning! Join us on Monday June 11th in theaters across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and – new this year – Chile!

This is the fifth year we’re broadcasting our E3 Showcase live to theaters. Experiencing the excitement of E3 alongside the PlayStation community brings a new dimension to the event, which is difficult to fully explain… this video might help.

Attendees this year will take home an exclusive poster and some other goodies. Want more than just physical swag? We’ve got you covered — everyone will also get a digital gift basket chock-full of treats. This year digital goods will be distributed via the Experience PlayStation app, so make sure to download it before you arrive at the theater if you want to redeem them immediately.

Sounds great, how do I attend?

Tickets are free and will be available at starting on Tuesday, June 5th at 11:00 AM PDT while supplies last. Check back here for the link. I highly recommend setting a reminder, because once the tickets are gone – they’re gone. This year tickets for all regions will be available at the same ticketing site.

Registering for a ticket will reserve your seat as long as you check in at the theater 30 minutes before show time. If you don’t check in by this time your seat will be released to non-ticketed fans (who have queued for a seat) on a first-come first-served basis.

Please note: Attendees must be 17 years of age or older to attend this event (18+ in Brazil). A valid form of ID providing age will be required to enter.

I didn’t get a ticket, what now?

Those without tickets can queue at the theater starting two hours before showtime. You will not be able to line up earlier than this. Open seats will be given out to those in the queue on a first-come first-served basis starting 30 minutes before the show starts.

    Well I joined at waitlist at 2PM Eastern on the dot… does that mean I’m SOL and have to try waiting at the theater?

      basically. I signed up for the waitlist on 2 on the dot and had to sign up again since nothing came up. I was up for hours for this and now I got screwed cause sony cant tell time.

      Not necessarily. Try waiting a few minutes and see if some people didn’t actually complete their orders. Others may release as people may have been using multiple devices, got through on one device and ignored the others. This happened to me before, it looked like I was doomed to waiting list ambiguity before I tried again and got tickets.

      I got my e-mail instantly but I basically registered as soon as it opened. They probably got backed up after traffic became too much.

    Alright going to the Raleigh location this year! Hopefully next year they’ll get the Charlotte location back and if I get super optimistic they’ll do a Winston-Salem or Greensboro location.

      You show up and wait in a line. If everyone that got tickets doesn’t show up, they fill remaining seats with those from the wait list line.

      Just for infrastructure it’s pretty much impossible to reserve a theater at this point. I live in Montreal most events like this are filled by Ubisoft, EA and Idos employees before they’re even released to the public.

    Tried. Didn’t get a ticket, so I’ll be on the waitlist and at the theatre.

    Sucks that a. the link was released 2 minutes before 2:00, and b. they put it at the top of the page, not the middle where details about the tix and “check back here for the link” is located. I probably missed my chance by mere seconds ’cause I didn’t know where to look.

    Glad the service was prepared for the influx of people this year. Got mine at 2:00 on the dot. Checked immediately after and they were already out of tickets in Raleigh.

      in my experience it doesn’t matter as long as you have the ticket that person can use it

      my friend bailed on me but my brother didn’t have to work at the hospital that night so he went with me, all I did was show up and asked if it was ok my brother was the one as my guest instead my friend and they just edited it right there and let him in (edited it so he could have a chance for some drawing… think it was free last guardian game)

    I got mine at 2:00pm EST Much quicker this year then previous best thing is no Gofobo but hopefully everyone can make it and have a good day Please please be excited for E3 this year! Ghost of Tsushima Death Stranding Spider-Man The Last of Us Part II and other surprises.

    HA! I got mine at 1:45PM. Lucked out because I got super backed up, and busy at work, and my phone alarm totally failed me this morning, and didn’t go off :(

    Y’all were super late with this announcement this year and I wasn’t able to request off work in time to go. I’ve gone the last 3 years and now I have to miss this one. Every other year you’ve announced this like a month or more in advance. I kept checking and just assumed you weren’t doing it this year. Incredibly disappointed.

    So what are the odds that I’ll actually get into this thing if I go wait in line downtown LA. I don’t want to go down there and miss out on seeing the experience at all if I can’t get in, when I could just watch at home. How many people who waited in line last year got in?

      Since its a big city u better get there mad early. As much as it sounds awesome to see it in a theater i would play the safer bet and just watch it from home if you can. I can get to NY in about 1hr 40 with train but those locations are sold out so not even gonna take the chance of going and not being able to get in since they dont let the wait list people in till last.

    In previous years, was there a separate line for people who are waitlisted vs people without a ticket or waitlist? Could people who had neither a ticket nor a waitlist confirmation even get in?

    Yea they cut down alot when it comes to this. CT isnt a big state at all so not totally shocked it isnt on the list. I think they cut down because from a people stand point some places cause of last year theaters didnt fill up so there wasnt really any interest.

    Really only 1 stop in Texas. Do you know how big and populated this state is Sony? Please put a stop in Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin. I live in Amarillo and would love to see a event here but I know that wont happen.

    With all the enthusiasm and as a fan of Playstation I go with great enthusiasm to the event here in Argentina, upon arrival I find the cinema without personnel or indicative from Sony, nothing but really nothing, only film staff who did not know that it happened.Sony Argentina forgot the organization of the event. We went to see the event but it was like seeing it at home, the aforementioned experience that this blog professed that we would have did not exist, I left with a bitter taste because I looked forward to meeting with an organized event, POP material and gifts and everything they promised on the blog that there would be for making the event an “experience” and I go with the mood for the ground, disillusioned of Playstation and of Sony Argentina and with a long trip that clearly was not worth doing. As a fan I feel cheated, I hope they are considered with the Argentine players who are excited as I attended this “event” if you can call it that,it had nothing of experience and everything of mediocrity. I hope to have some response from you as a fan who understands that it is a local problem and not the company that has moved us so much.
