    Getting Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Stay, and maybe Boundless.

  • When can we pre order Black Clover Quartet Knights? Do we get the pre bonus Black Asta skin like the Japanese release of the game?

  • When is Desert Racing GST releasing?

  • The sequel no one asked for: Construction Simulator 2 is here!

    COOL STORY BRO;

    Tomb Raider Legend was the first TR game I played. I absolutely loved it. So…

    Anniversary – day one
    Underworld – day one
    Tomb Raider 2013 – day one

    Then someone decided for me that this isn’t a day one franchise. Fine. I can honor that. I’ll be waiting for a price cut on Shadow. A substantial price cut.

    BEFORE ANYONE TELLS ME “It’s just business.”;
    So’s this. So is my waiting for a price cut.

    BEFORE ANYONE TELLS ME TO “Get over it.”;
    Why should I? My loyalty to the series was repaid by selling second class treatment of me to MS. What’s been done to make that up to me?

    • “slow clap”

      It’s adorable that you think you’re owed something by any of these people or that anyone cares about your entitled little tantrum.

      What’s even your goal here? You think Square-Enix and Microsoft are going to read this and suddenly appear and apologize to you and give you a free PS4 copy? What a funny little fantasy life you have.

    • SeveredHands

      I think you could still buy the game and enjoy it.

  • NotCarolKaye

    @tony2077

    Eat me.

    • SeveredHands

      I believe you could gain something from CBT

    • Its 100% logical to leave mature, relative opions on these type threads rather than ranting on personal social media “pages”, where else would one assume (that is assuming that assumptions are a good idea in the 1st place rather than fact gathering!) developers and software producers find there info on how they are making over with their preferred customer market? Large companies dont run from critics, they absorb in the crtiques and learn, make revisions, —>make bigger, better money than those who crack jokes and run tale & hide. Just sayin cupcake ! ;)

  • @NotCarolKaye

    The past two releases were MS first, but this one is released simultaneously on all platforms, yes?

    I bought the last two TRs on Xbox for my niece on Xbox because she was so excited for it. I then re-purchased them on PS4 for myself because I can’t stand using the Xbox.

    I was kinda excited to be able to get this one on PS4 without wasting money on an Xbox version as well.

    Anyway – I understand your stance and I also understand that no one should waste money the way I did… but, since it’s a simultaneous release this time, shouldn’t you want to make it a day 1 purchase to support the simultaneous release?

    (or am I missing something and there was an early Xbox release or some such early access thing…?)

      Hey, BLite:
      To clear this up, ONLY the last game (Rise of the Tomb Raider) released first on Xbox. The problem a lot of people had (including myself) was that the entire franchise started on PC/Playstation, dating back to the 90s before Xbox was even a brand.
      When “Rise of” came out, it released on Xbox first, months later on PC, and a full year later on PS4. I’m sure I’m not the only one who waited until the PS4 version of “Rise of” was on sale before buying it.
      I’m also in no rush to buy Shadow. I’m not angry about it as NotCarolKaye seems to be, but I agree with the sentiment. Why buy this at launch for full price when it seems obvious that Square-Enix will delay the launch on our system of choice when they think it will make them more money? The only way to show companies what we think is acceptable is by affecting their bottom line. And it can’t stop at one game if we want to see change.
      If this had been a new IP that came late to PS4, it would be a different issue. The fact that it was a sequel to a multi-plat release with an established history on Playstation is the reason so many are not happy. And they have a record of doing this (see Star Ocean 4)

    • @AizawaYuuichi

      Honestly I bought it on Xbox One and it was one of the reasons I bought the Xbox One. I was going to get it on PlayStation 4 later, but ending up not doing so.

      The game to me was just no where near as good as the first one which was an older title. I just could not get into it. After a certain point I just quit and sold the game. The VR aspect tempted me on PS4, but I got over it.

      This one I am just not going to bother with. With my mindset I would have to go back and pick up Rise of the Tomb Raider and that is just not going to happen. For me it was not even that it released on Xbox first, it was just not that great of an experience.

    • @AizawaYuuichi You didn’t mention that Tomb Raider launched at the same time on Sega Saturn and Saturn owners never even got a sequel. It’s a rather silly view that a game series has to stick to or launch on the console brand the first game was released on, especially in this case when you have a completely different publisher and developer working on the new games. How many third-party games launched on Nintendo consoles that haven’t released on the current or past few? There are a whole lot of franchises that kicked off on the NES and SNES but a publisher shouldn’t be expected to release games on Switch because the first game in a series was on NES. Would you rather Square Enix dropped a Tomb Raider sequel or released a lesser version without Microsoft’s money? Tomb Raider may be well known but Square Enix wasn’t too happy with sales of the reboot until after all the added definitive edition sales. It also hasn’t treated Deus Ex too well and it ended up dumping Hitman. I would be just fine if another company threw money at Deus Ex even if it remained exclusive to one system forever. At least it would exist.

    • I wasn’t even mad about Rise of… Did I have to wait a year? Yeah, but did I also get the base game plus all the DLC for the same price that Xbox users paid for the base game? Sure did. I had plenty of stuff to play instead. Not like the PS4 has a game drought like Xbox. I own an Xbox and I still waited. That’s how I affected their bottom line. If they had released on PS4 simultaneously, I would have been in day one with an additional DLC intent to buy. Instead, they made me wait and I got a deal… Day one PS4.

  • medenko1975

    again lame trophies for TOMB RAIDER.

  • @BLite
    When it was, it sold better on PS. Rise of Tomb raider STILL sold better on PS. Will on Shadow too. I waited until I got Rise $20 on PS4. You care more for a payout by MS than the franchises fans, then F you. I’ll buy it. But I’m not paying a full game price for it anymore. It’s not a stance, It’s how SE and the people behind Tomb Raider made it. I had to wait a full year for Rise, I now know that I can wait as long as it takes in this case too. I waited 18 months to get it on sale for $20. Even then, it’s in my backlog so no rush here. Hope it’s $10 by the time.

    i am getting Shadow of the Tomb Raider on September 12

  • MidnightDragonDX

    Have too much other stuff to do.

  • Tatanka2007

    Definitely waiting for a big discount for Tomb Raider. The overpriced deluxe editions are just a turn-off on principle. And besides, the rebooted Tomb Raider, despite looking great, is rather bland and boring. I see nothing new and exciting being introduced in the third one.

    If someone likes single-player games likeTR and hasn’t played God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Spider-man, etc., skip TR and choose one of these for a better experience. These are games that worth day-one pricing. These are also games that want your money but don’t want to bleed you getting it like most anything published by Square Enix.

    • I can absolutely 2nd this! Most especially Horizon Zero Dawn, a flawless game, what an experience!! And already a big price drop

  • I’m in for Tomb Raider. I still have Best Buy’s GCU and I’ll get the $10 reward certificate for preordering. So, $40 day he is great. I’ll wait for Black Friday for the sport games.

  • Still need to get around to playing Rise of the Tomb Raider

  • So excited for “Shadow of the Tomb Raider”!! Got the Croft Steelbook edition coming in Tuesday/Wednesday from Amazon!! So stoked for Lara’s latest adventure!!

  • Will there be a black ops 4 console bundle soon?
