Fortnitemares 2018 is here and it features all manner of haunting happenings across Fortnite. During Fortnitemares, you’ll face off against Cube Monsters and experience Battle Royale in a whole new way.

Reactive Outfit

Make sure you’re lookin’ good while the darkness descends and pick up the new Deadfire Outfit. This new type of reactive outfit features in-match progression, giving you a way to show off your skills in style. The outfit will progress through two styles based on the damage you deal enemies (players and AI) and how long you last in a match. Deadfire also comes with the Shackled Stone Back Bling and you can pick up his matching Dark Shard pickaxe in the store, both of these are reactive cosmetics.

New Weapons

Wield new weapons to fight back against these creepy creatures…

Do ya feel lucky, partner? Show off your gunslinger skills with the new Six Shooter.

Back with a vengeance, the Demon Hunter crossbow fires faster. Perfect for fighting back hordes of monsters.

Fortnitemares Challenges

The Fortnitemares event comes with its own set of free challenges each week. Complete each challenge set to unlock a new in-game cosmetic.

For this first week, you’ll have to:

  • Destroy Storm Monsters
  • Deal damage with Assault Rifles or Pistols to Storm Monsters
  • Visit a Corrupted Area in different matches
  • Dance at Different Halloween Objects

Come back every few days for a new set of challenges and new rewards! If you complete the final set of challenges, you’ll be rewarded with the spooky train glider!

Happy haunting, Fortnite fans!

Game-killing Bug
The killer bug is obvious: the game kicks you back to the lobby without dieing, quitting, errors, or reasons.
The bug makes the game un-playable. No progress. You play for nothing, just to get kicked out in the middle of the match, or worse, at the end. I issued a credit card solely and SPECIFICALLY to buy battle pass this tuesday. But given this specific bug, I am having second thoughts and might not buy it at all. It’s a recurring bug ever since Fortnitemares (amazing concept and update, but the bug kills it). I love the zombies idea but if they have to go so the bug can be gone, then so be it. I’m not buying anything for fortnite until news of this fix. Surprises me because Epic is usually on top of things. Each new bug gets a quick fix. But this is a game-killing bug. And it surprises me that Epic didn’t patch it the very SAME DAY. Not even the day after. The longer the patch takes, the less me and my friends are going to play it and we’ll have no choice but to uninstall and move on to BO4. Save yourself while you still can, Epic.
