PS Now Adds 50 More PS4 Games, Including For Honor

For Honor leads the charge, and holiday promotions start today.

Brian Dunn's Avatar Posted by Senior Marketing Manager, PlayStation Now

The holidays are now upon us! Santa Claus has arrived early this year, because today we’re adding 50 more PlayStation 4 games to the PlayStation Now library, bringing the total to over 275 PS4 games to stream or download, and a total of over 700 PS4, PS3, and PS2 games to stream. We’ve also got some great discount deals happening on our subscriptions, so keep reading to find out more.

Leading the pack of 50 new PS4 games this month is Ubisoft’s epic combat game For Honor. Enter the chaos of war and choose a faction: bold Knights, brutal Vikings, or deadly Samurai. For Honor features 12 base Heroes to choose from and customize, a thrilling solo and co-op story campaign, as well as brutal PvP and multiplayer modes to test your skill in battle (PS Plus not required to play online when playing via your PS Now subscription). Download the game to your PS4 system to enjoy the brand new Marching Fire expansion (sold separately), featuring a brand new faction with four new heroes, as well as new solo/co-op and PvP modes.

Other new PS4 games this month include the open-world Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion, the classic Super Star Wars, retro-style 2D platformer Dandara, J-RPG Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force, the frantic Raiden V: Director’s Cut, the fast-paced thrill-ride TRON RUN/r, and many more.

Here are the top 10 most streamed and downloaded games in PS Now during the last month:

  • Red Dead Redemption
  • Mafia III
  • NBA 2K16
  • WWE 2K16
  • Steep
  • Sniper Elite IV
  • The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited
  • Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution
  • Fallout: New Vegas
  • Payday 2 Crimewave Edition

Today also marks the start of our holiday price promotion for PlayStation Now. From today through January 8 (8 AM PT), we are bringing back three exciting subscription offers. If you’ve never tried the service before, you can get your first month for just $9.99 with our special intro offer (new subscribers only). Also available is a discount on the 3-month offer, now just $29.99 ($44.99 regular price), and for the best bang for your buck, 12 months for just $79.99 ($99.99 regular price), both available to new and existing subscribers alike. You can also check out the seven-day free trial for PS4 and PC to get started. (Terms apply. New Subscribers only. Credit card required. See here for details.)

Stay tuned for more updates on PS Now. Happy gaming!

Why so many old games do what Xbox dose and give us some new ones

Are you confusing Xbox Game Pass with Xbox Games with Gold?

    ritchardf said:

    December 4th, 7:28 am

No, Xbox Game Pass gives new games on release day. most recently Forza Horizon 4, State of Decay 2 and soon Crackdown 3. Its also because xbox cant sell consoles so they are getting pretty desperate.

    The_Dukenator said:

    December 4th, 7:31 am

Microsoft had released new games on Xbox Game Pass that were under their banner like Forza Horizon 4, Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves.

They do add a mixture of xbox 360, original and one games to it. Until recently, you coudln’t download the ps now games.

Sure, ps now has 700 games, but xbox game pass has 100+ games. Backward compatibility for xbox one has like 500 games.

Tbh, game pass is a better value. I’m probably going to get an Xbox just for it.

$79.99 for a Year!!!

PS Now is is absolutely incredible.

I think it is worth mentioning, that you don’t need PS+ to play PS Now games online.

This is by far the best deal in video games.

My only request is give us a 5G Mobile PS4 so we can take or library and PS Now on the go, Native and Streaming.

Same. I feel the same way. PS Now, is a really good service. And when it comes to mobile. Instead of a 5G PS4, Sony should make a PS Now mobile app-for Android and iOS smart phones and tablets. So we can stream anywhere. And when 5G comes, pretty much anyone would be able to use it.

I’m glad to see more improvements to PS Now. Its deffinatly PlayStation’s killer app.

There should be way more exclusives. PlayStation games that are at least 3 years old should be PS Now.
Games like:
Jak & Daxter, Jak 2, Jak 3, Jak X
Ratchet & Clank Collection and Deadlocked
PS All Stars Battle Royale
Twisted Metal Black
Drive Club
Gran Turismo 6
The Order: 1886
inFamous Second Son/First Light
Little Big Planet 3

1. Add more PlayStation exclusives
2. Add more PS4 versions of PS3 games
3. Better and more simple pricing model:
$9.99 A month for PS+ Members
$19.99 A month for Non PS+ Members
$99.99 One year for everyone all year long
$139.99 PS Now & PS+ One year bundle
4. Give players the option to stream games in 1080p and more data centers to lower latency.
5. PS Now mobile app for android and iOS smart phones and tablets (PS Now and 5G)

Add more PS4 versions of PS3 games. (So they’re downloadable) Like:
Uncharted 1, 2, 3 (Nathan Drake Collection)
Last of Us (Last of Us: Remastered)
Resident Evil 4, 5, 6 -> PS4 versions
DMC 1, 2, 3 ,4 (DMC collection)
Bioshock 1, 2, Infinite (Bioshock Collection)
Batman Arkham Asylum & City (Return to Arkham)

So wait.
Can someone please explain PS Now to me?

To be quite honest – the last time I paid attention to the service, you had to pay individually per rental and I was not interested in doing that.

I have tried to google it and am having a hard time finding a response.
The subscription option, does it provide you with unlimited access to the whole catalog?

    BradGrenz said:

    December 4th, 5:56 pm

PS Now is a subscription service. When you subscribe you can play any of the 700+ games on the service from an internet connected PS4 or PC using the streaming option. Saves are stored cloud-side and you do not need an additional PS Plus sub for multiplayer.

You also have the option to download an play any of the PS4 titles in the PS Now catalog on a PS4 if you prefer. There is no limit to the amount of time or number of titles you play during the length of your subscription.

Nice, but PS3 have amazing games could you add more of that, games like Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition, Dragon Age 2, Metal Gear Series, Dead Space, Deus Ex, Mass Effect trilogy, etc.

It is even possible to add games from Vita like Persona 3, Persona 4, Souls Sacrifice?

I got $30 in my psn account I got from gamestop rewards I’ve been waiting to spend, with this $79.99 1 year PS Now deal I think I’ve found what to spend it on. You guys should offer a PS Now/PS+ bundle for like $139.99 like someone else said, I’ll do multiple years of that.
