Summer Sale: Four Weeks of Deals at PS Store

That’s because it’s up to the publishers, and not Sony, what goes on sale and how much it gets discounted. They set the prices of their games on the store. Figured everybody knew that but these comments constantly remind me that seemingly no one does.

If a game you want to go on sale never does, contact the people who made the game instead of complaining in these comments.

Complaining TO THE RIGHT PEOPLE is a good thing. People whining to Sony to put some game from Atlus on sale is a waste of everybody’s time.

This is not brick and mortar. At all. Sony can’t just drop the price on a publisher’s game without their permission. They didn’t order a truckload of digital games at the publisher’s price and mark them down to clear shelf space. It’s a totally different system.

If the publisher doesn’t want to mark their game down — and you’re kidding yourself if you don’t think Sony already doesn’t look at the numbers and contact these folks — that’s their call. Complaining to them is the right move. Whining in here, sale after sale after sale, is pointless — as is evidenced by the fact that nothing changes.
