The Drop: New PlayStation Games for August 13, 2019

No Man's Sky Beyond adds PS VR support, a new shared social space, and more.

Relax in the soothing isolation of outer space or embark on a new journey with friends and strangers, all made more entrancing than ever thanks to the power of virtual reality.

An endless universe awaits in No Man’s Sky Beyond, newly enhanced with robust multiplayer functionality, a freshly constructed shared social space called the Nexus, and — of course — full PlayStation VR support. Hello Games’ journey into the unknown has seen myriad updates since its 2017 launch, but perhaps none as significant as the one launching Wednesday.

  • PC building simulator huh

  • Looking forward to No Mans Sky PSVR.

The Cover Picture makes me miss MotorStorm. Wish Evolution was still around. We could really use a new MotorStorm in line with the first 2 games, or at least a remastered collection for PS4.

A MotorStorm reboot then Driveclub 2. That is how Evolution should’ve proceeded. I feel for Rushy P and the guys. I know Onrush was a rush job, but i enjoyed platinuming the game.

I will play NMS again specifically for PSVR. NMS Next was a great update and i hear the VR update is fantastic. It’s not just VR either, Sean calls it NMS 2.0. Funny how Hello Games is doing exactly as they said, building the game over a period of years with free updates. Ppl freaked out at launch and call Sean Murray a crook, but those idiot couldn’t be further from the truth. Murray cares more about his art than his money and he has literally kept the game in full development for two years post-launch to improve it. The game sold 4 million units, he could’ve launched it and walked away as a wealthy man. Ppl didn’t understand that Sean never meant to deceive, he was just so passionate he spoke about his hopes, dreams, and vision for the game and ppl twisted it into things he never promised. Multiplayer was never promised, yet, it’s actually in the game. Base building, land vehicles, photo mode, 4K, VR. The game has added so many things. Ppl were ravenous fools when NMS released, making false judgements about someone they didn’t know. I have my issues with the core game, i’d like more story, cities, humanoid enemies, and dynamic events in exploration, but i never felt tricked and i knew exactly what the game would be. Sean played the game numerous times prior to launch, it was obvious that this was a procedural universe based on crafted and survival with little to no story. Regardless, i applaud Hello Games and i feel bad that so many ppl turned on them, including Sony. I love Sony, but just like The Order, they ran instead of sticking with the developer/IP.

  • PREPARE YOURSELF LADIES AND GENTLEMEN THIS IS PROPERTY.

  • PC Building Simulator, on the PS4. That’s something.

  • I’m having fun playing onrush lately

  • I bought NMS during the sale this week. It’s really fun. So chill and gives an eerie feeling. It was a little hard for me to understand at first, but after giving it a few hours, I really enjoy it.
