No Man’s Sky Beyond Gets Physical Release on PS4 Next Month

Hello Games marks its three year journey by collecting the original sci-fi adventure and all its expansions onto one disc.

Hello! Over three years ago the first PlayStation 4 discs of No Man’s Sky were hitting retail shelves worldwide.

Those discs represented the first step along an amazing three-year journey that we and the No Man’s Sky community have been on together. It’s been a rollercoaster, but six major free updates later (Foundations, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, Next, The Abyss and Visions), and we arrived at Beyond.

Launched last week, Beyond is our largest and in some ways most important update. It massively expands multiplayer and increases the capacity for social interactions in a major way. On top of this the whole game is now playable in fully realised VR.

It also delivers a whole load of new features, large and small, which come together with the two other pillars to form what we call No Man’s Sky Version 2.0.

Beyond is our attempt to bring all of the strands of No Man’s Sky into a more cohesive whole and to fill in the detail so that, no matter your play style, no matter whether you’re a newcomer or veteran, it is an instantly accessible world and one that makes sense.

It seems only fitting that we should bundle up all of these three years of updates, re-master the game and re-issue it on a shiny new disc.

We’re super excited to tell you that a physical version of No Man’s Sky: Beyond will be available to buy on North America on September 10, and in Europe on 11th September.

No Man’s Sky continues to be an amazing journey, thank you for joining us.

Much love,
Sean

I’ve always supported NMS, but how is this new retail edition in any way different from the original? Everything was patched in. Will this version truly be remastered in a way that won’t be represented on the original?

Every visual improvement has been patched in. To me, this is literally a re-packaging that ZERO value. Please explain, because i’m willing to support HG, i want the best version, but don’t wanna be duped.

Im fine with it being the same it makes sense they dont like to split the playerbase it does not need to be different then the original. I hope they can add a artbook and poster in this physical release too.

This No Man’s Sky rerelease with Beyond on the disc is going to cost $30.

I’m planning on buying the vanilla version tomorrow. But if this is priced right I’ll wait. So how much?

  • Into it!

I already have my original copy but imma pick this up just for the box and to support you guys

  • Emerald_Swords

The og box art is much better imo.

  • I’ll buy it again to support you Sean. As a thanks for not giving up on this amazing game.

But please patch this baby for Pro VR support :)

  • MoonBlossom

I love the cover. I’ll definitely be buying this to support you. Thank you Sean!

  • Cool!

  • I expect a modest price for this new retail edition. Technically though, it shouldn’t be too much more than the original base game as all DLCs were free.

  • When PS+?

  • Love you too Sean and everyone at Hello Games! I’m enjoying the new update, it’s AMAZING to blast off in my ship in VR. Keep up the great work!

  • I have my CE copy & I’m good. This may be good for those looking to just now buy the game but other than box art, what’s the difference. All updates are free.

  • Can you pre-order the physical disc? Cant find any info on release day purchase.

  • Add ps aim support and a ds4 joystick to the spaceships with motion controls.

  • I have been trying to rent it on Gamefly because I don’t have the internet fast enough to download beyond update but the night before it was released GameFly changed the release date from September 10th to September 14th and now it says September 20th does anyone know why they keep changing the date.
