  • Wow, again Microsoft markets a game as if it’s a true console exclusive only to quietly come to PS4 soon after. Ashen. It’s not as bad as Inside, which was marketed heavily as an Xbox exclusive only to release on PS4 several weeks later.

    • Being a fanboy again I see. The game was always said to be a “launch exclusive.” That means that everyone knew it would come to other platforms at some point. What does it even matter?

    • Agreed. They did that with Blair Witch too.

    • I don’t think you guys know what marketing something as a “true console exclusive” looks like. Both Ashen and Blair Witch were shown in trailers that said “Console Launch Exclusive.” Everyone knows that means timed. Microsoft never acted like these games were exclusive to them forever. Give me a break with the fanboy nonsense.

    • How is it being a “fanboy” to point out that the marketing of a game seemed to be focused on Xbox exclusivity? Regardless of whether or not it specified that it was a “launch exclusive” or a “timed” one, how does merely commenting on this one way or the other classify someone as a fanboy?

And since when did being a fan of one console over another make someone a fanboy in the first place? You’re using derogatory language against him because you think he likes Sony over another company? Having a preference makes him a fanboy? I personally only have Sony products. Mainly because I don’t see a point in putting money into any other consoles when I have 160 games on my PS4, but also because the exclusives the other companies have in no way interest me.

The only nonsense here is the idiotic notion that someone needs to be ridiculed and talked down to because they like one thing better than another.

    • @Ex I’ve seen Tyler’s comments here on the blog and on N4G for a long time and based on those he is 100% what I said he is. Fact of the matter is there is no reason to even bring up Microsoft. You won’t see him saying anything when an indie launches on PS4 first and Xbox later.

    • Yep. I remember Ashen and Cuphead both being touted pre-release as Xbox exclusives where devs of both games stated there wouldn’t be a PS4 version. Guess that means we can expect Cuphead on PS4 any day now.

    • @Quin no the devs never said that about Ashen. Also Cuphead is 100% not coming to PS4. A sequel or something could though.

    • Heard it all before… Don’t believe a word MS says.

    • @Quin It wasn’t Microsoft that said it. The developers did. You’re going to be waiting the rest of your life for Cuphead to come to PS4.

    • @Mercenary09 To be completely fair. People said the exact same thing about Mass Effect.

  • Avoided getting Ashen before as I knew it would come to PS4 once the timed window ran out. I’ll be getting that, Fujii, Dead End Job, Blacksad, Touring Karts and probably a few more of these.

  • Please add video links to this weekly list.

  • This List is pretty useless without so much as a link to more info about the game. Add a video, or a link to the store page, or something, pretty please.

    • They add links to the store pages when the games go live on the store. Obviously they can’t do that now when the store pages don’t exist.

    • Yeah at Mercenary09,

If this is the case then Sony and their partners should have the preorder page up sooner on the store.

If the can’t have the store page up a week before release that’s not good for sales and the purpose of this list is much less effective as a tool to inform consumers and promote sales.

Or how about they add the developers websites as links?

    • @kungfu Um no because not every game needs to be up for pre-order. I don’t see why the people complaining can’t wait until they hit the store or quit being lazy and just go look up the games themselves. It isn’t hard to to do.

    • @Mercenary09

I actually disagree with you on this one. When there are between 10-20 games each week it would be much better to have direct links. Why should the readers have to do the leg work of copying and pasting each game.

If the goal is to inform the consumer about upcoming games these lists and descriptions do a pretty bad job of it compared to video.

Find me a single dev that wouldn’t want a video embedded or link to their website.

Plus PS store doesn’t need to have preorders to have a page up for these games but they should have a ‘coming soon’ page for all games!

Videos would make this feature better, plain and simple.

  • Where’d ‘Steins;Gate: My Darling’s Embrace’ go?

    • Looks like they removed it along with 1 or 2 other games that were on here when the post first went live.

    • I never saw it before it was removed. I wouldn’t have known its release was imminent otherwise. Thanks! And it was released today, so quite strange that they removed it.
Anyway, it’s great to be enjoying some “new” Steins;Gate.

  • By description Headliner: Novinews is very interesting. It would be good if these lists started having links to the PSN store or something similar where we could see a trailer or get additional information.

  • It’s amazing to me the amount of people in these comments every week who are too lazy to open up Youtube and look up a video of a game themselves. The time you waste to be posting your complaint here could be used to look up that trailer instead. I do it every week and it takes me maybe 5 minutes to look up any game I”m interested in. You’re lucky you even get a post like The Drop letting you know about everything hitting that next week.

  • Could we see a huge discount on Patapon 3, and Reality Fighters, please? Thanks.
