Today we’re very excited to announce Rebellion’s first new game since we launched Sniper Elite 4 on Valentine’s Day!
If you follow Rebellion you might already know that we don’t just make games. We also publish the legendary British comic 2000 AD, famous for characters like Judge Dredd, Sláine, Nemesis, and — of course — Rogue Trooper!
Coming soon to PS4, Rogue Trooper Redux is a loving remaster of the acclaimed 2006 third-person shooter based on the comic book of the same name.
After more than a year of demoing I’d say that seeing people play Battlezone — many of whom have never experienced PlayStation VR before — is the best feeling. We love seeing the “wow” smile on players’ faces as they enter the cockpit and take in the scale of Battlezone’s cyberworld. That never gets old!
So who’s sitting with bated breath eagerly awaiting the PlayStation’s VR event tomorrow? I know we are! From the reveal of Project Morpheus to the unveiling of PlayStation VR, we feel like virtual reality has been in the news for a while (We announced Battlezone nearly 10 months ago — I can’t believe it!), but only now are players starting to see what kind of complete game experiences they’ll be getting in virtual reality.
Today we’re thrilled to tell players that Sniper Elite 4 is coming to PS4 this year.
What you’ll want to know, of course, is what makes Sniper Elite 4 special, whether you’re a sharpshooting veteran or a rookie looking to get their teeth into a new third-person stealth action game — especially now that it’s the first in the series to be developed from the ground up for PS4.
Well, what can I say? Rebellion may have been formed in 1992, but this will easily go down as one of the most exciting weeks in our history. After all it’s not every day that you have your new (and top secret) project debut at E3, let alone seeing it running on something as exciting as Project Morpheus.
