Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is coming to PS4 and PS Vita this fall. Some of you are excited, and some of you are asking yourself “What’s Ys?” Well, let’s answer that for you!
Put simply, Ys (pronounced “ees”) is an action RPG series that follows an adventurer named Adol Christin as he travels to far-flung lands, saves the day through silky-smooth combat, and is completely oblivious to the swooning of maidens on his quest for adventure.
Last year, we invited you to join seven delinquents on their journey to redemption in Criminal Girls: Invite Only. This year the party continues! Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors is available today for your PS Vita at retail and on PlayStation Store, dood! So what’s new this time around?
Call me crazy, but I think Touhou is about to take the Western world by storm, dood! Some of you got a taste with our recent release of Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet, but you’ll be able to get a whole lot more when Touhou Genso Wanderer launches on PS4 (physical and digital) and PS Vita (digital only) on February 7! As an added bonus, we’re also going to include a free copy of Touhou Double Focus, a 2D platformer starring Aya, on its own disc in the launch day edition of the game.
Yup, that’s right, if you pre-order the game to make sure you get the launch day edition for PS4, not only will you be getting Touhou Genso Wanderer, but you’ll also get Touhou Double Focus, a reversible cover, and a mini-art book!
I’ve heard more than a few people despair about the fact that the Danganronpa games have only been on the handheld market. I was talking about that with my coworker a little while back — about how sad it was that PS4 owners were missing out on some of the quirkiest characters and greatest storytelling of our time — and then he had an idea. What if we talked with developer Spike Chunsoft and they brought Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair to PS4?
Well, guess what? That’s exactly what’s happening in early 2017 with Danganronpa 1&2 Reload, dood!
What happens when you mix ballet, MMA, magical girls, and bullet hell? Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet, dood! This PS4 exclusive mash-up between a shmup and a fighting game will be hitting PlayStation Store and retail in North America tomorrow! In the two weeks after launch, we’ll be giving everyone a one-two punch of extra fun by adding two new playable characters: Flandre Scarlet & Yukari Yakumo in free patches!
In a game of strategy, the number of pieces on your board and the type of pieces you control can completely alter the outcome of a battle. In the careful balance of Grand Kingdom’s classes, that is especially true, and I’m happy to announce a few more pieces that you’ll be able to strategize with when Grand Kingdom launches on PS4 and PS Vita this June!
Today is the release date of Stranger of Sword City on PS Vita, and it looks like reviewers are really enjoying it! If you’re unfamiliar with the game, be sure to check out our previous blog. To celebrate the launch, I thought it would be fun to provide you all with a quick guide to a couple parties recommended by the developer!
Hey there, doods! We’re gearing up for Grand Kingdom to hit PS4 and PS Vita this June, and we want you to get in on the excitement!
