Activision recently announced The War Machine, the second DLC Map Pack for Call of Duty: WWII. This pack brings with it three new maps, a new War Mode experience, and a new chapter of Nazi Zombies.
We’re definitely excited for players to get their hands on The War Machine, and to help you get prepped for combat, we have a close-up look at the new War Mode map, Operation Husky, developed by Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software. Feast your eyes on this exclusive map image which will provide some tips, and then read on for some key intel to pass along to your troops.
On January 30, players can experience The Resistance, Call of Duty: WWII’s premiere DLC Pack, first on the PlayStation 4. This pack includes three new maps, a new War Mode experience, and a new chapter for Call of Duty: WWII’s Nazi Zombies, The Darkest Shore.
After his losses in Bavaria, Doktor Straub has shifted his focus to a secluded island off the coast of northern Germany. He’s working there to finalize his plans for an undead assault on the Allied Forces, one that will change the course of history.
The Darkest Shore follows our intrepid heroes into the next chapter of their dangerous and horrifying Nazi Zombies journey. Only days after the disaster in Mittelburg, the crew arrives at an island blanketed in fog and rich in occult history. A tactically important naval base for the Axis, the island is surrounded by air and sea power – and of course crawling with the undead.
The wait is finally over! Call of Duty: WWII is now available worldwide, and this game marks the return to where the franchise first began in World War II. Call of Duty: WWII takes players to the front lines of the greatest military conflict ever known, through a personal story of heroism and the unbreakable bonds of brotherhood, in the fight to save the world from tyranny.
Along with the campaign, Call of Duty: WWII also delivers a boots-on-the-ground multiplayer experience with new community features and a brand-new war mode, and of course the terrifying cooperative mode: nazi zombies.
Call of Duty: WWII comes packed with an incredible amount of content, and delivers a variety of new ways for all players to connect, compete, and engage together across unique modes of play. The Call of Duty: WWII story campaign immerses players into an intense journey filled with gripping action and epic battles. Players follow the story of Ronald “Red” Daniels, a member of the US 1st Infantry Division, who joins British forces and the French Resistance as his squad battles across the beaches of Normandy, to the liberation of Paris, and ultimately into the heart of Germany.
Just a few days after D-Day, the Battle for Carentan took place in France as the United States Army battled the German Wehrmacht for control of the small French town less than 20 miles from Omaha Beach.
Carentan debuted as a Multiplayer map in Call of Duty, and a brand-new version of this fan-favorite is heading to Call of Duty: WWII. Featuring large exteriors with excellent sniper lanes, and interior areas for intense close combat, Carentan is a map that you won’t want to miss.
I scream, you scream, we all scream for… Willard Wyler’s Halloween Scream! That might seem like a lot to scream when you’re terrified, but you can’t argue with the master of the macabre when it comes to Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Beginning on October 9, this event is designed to unleash pure terror with new game modes, Double XP, and free Halloween-themed loot. Just pray you survive long enough to enjoy it!
In Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, we’ve seen the Sabotage, Continuum, and Absolution DLC Packs, which have each added a brand-new zombies adventure based on the macabre world of twisted horror director Willard Wyler, along with 12 additional maps for multiplayer.
Now, prepare yourself for the fourth DLC Pack – Retribution. Available first on PS4 beginning September 12, Retribution takes players across four new epic multiplayer maps, and also launches you into the final Infinite Warfare zombies co-op experience titled The Beast from Beyond.
The Call of Duty: WWII Private Multiplayer Beta is nearly here on PS4, and we’ve got all the intel you need to get in on the action when it deploys August 25.
Last week, Sledgehammer Games released a special message to let everyone know what to expect from the Private Multiplayer Beta, which is just a small part of the full multiplayer mode, and to thank everyone for taking part as this will help hone the final experience when the full game launches on November 3. “We love the active dialog we have with the Call of Duty community, and value the exchange of ideas and constructive feedback we have with fans. Your feedback will help us finalize features, optimize gameplay balance, and refine the remaining development roadmap to launch. So please explore, rank up, and have fun. Share as much feedback as you can – everything helps. The development team will be playing non-stop, and we’ll be monitoring performance and collecting valuable data around the clock.”
