Today, we’re thrilled to reveal that after months of testing and fine-tuning, the 2018 FIA-certified Gran Turismo Championships are underway and live for racers worldwide.
Anyone is welcome to participate in the thrilling online season from June-September, concluding with the Regional and World finals in October and November, where the Nations and Manufacturers trophies await GT’s top-ranking players.
Just ahead of the world-famous 24 Hours of Le Mans race on June 16, we’re pleased to add the event’s Circuit de la Sarthe to GT Sport in the new 1.19 update that will be available later tonight. Known for its long periods driven under full throttle and the demanding stress it puts on both cars’ and drivers’ braking abilities – this will provide a true test of skill for even our most dedicated players.

Hello GT Fans! I’m extremely excited to confirm that Gran Turismo Sport will be launching on October 17 in North America. Following the successful completion of our Closed Beta phase, as announced earlier this week, we are now entering the final stages of polishing as we prepare for launch.
Between now and launch you can expect to hear a lot more from the GT team as we unveil more information on the many features included in Gran Turismo Sport, including the campaign mode, various creative tools, as well as a full reveal on all the cars and tracks you can look forward to racing on launch day!
From the start, GT Sport has been Polyphony Digital’s most ambitious undertaking as we recognized the need for change in the racing games category. In racing, human emotion is what drives the need for competition — to be the best of the best. GT Sport is set to deliver a true-to-life racing experience where each driver will face real risks, rewards, and consequences through competition, and not just a single race to 1st place. Regardless of your experience in racing, each driver is able to develop and compete against others with similar achievements and driving behavior, ensuring that every race is as fair and competitive as possible.
Hello, GT fans! We’re extremely excited at Polyphony to announce the Gran Turismo Sport Closed Beta. Beta participants will get a sneak peek at how Gran Turismo will pave the future of racing, competing in highly competitive races against other users across the country, and eventually, across the globe.
Participants will be able to choose from a select rotation of cars and tracks each day to race online against others during the Beta phases. Track and car selections will vary during this period, and we made sure to offer different race class categories and course configurations to properly test our GT fans!
