We’re baa-aack…. PlayStation Experience 2017 returns to Anaheim, California this December 9 and 10! Early bird tickets are available right now, and supplies are limited.
PlayStation Experience is a truly magical time of year, and this year thousands of fans will descend on the lovely Anaheim Convention Center to experience the latest and greatest in PlayStation gaming. That includes hands-on time with PS4 Pro on huge, gorgeous Sony 4K HDR TVs, dozens of PlayStation VR demos, game developer panels, rare merchandise and collectibles, and a whole lot more.
We’ve also got a special treat for early bird ticket holders: an invitation to a special event held on the evening of Friday, December 8th, the night before the event formally kicks off. During the special event, you’ll have a chance to get up-close and personal with game developers and PlayStation personalities. Should be fun!
By many measures, Star Wars Battlefront II is shaping up to be the most ambitious game in EA’s history. It’s a colossal, global development effort that spans multiple game modes, genres, and all three film eras. And it’s being managed by three prestigious studios: Criterion Games, DICE, and the newly-formed Motive Studios.
I recently had an opportunity to catch up with representatives of all three studios: DICE Producer Craig McLeod, Criterion Executive Producer Matt Webster, and Motive Creative Director Mark Thompson.
It’s a juicy conversation — more than 20 minutes of detailed discussion revolving around the game’s conception and how the studio is addressing fan feedback.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is showing a lot of promise. My recent hands-on time with an early build of the game pointed to a more confident, more polished follow-up to 2014’s subversive hit Wolfenstein: The New Order… which still stands as one of the best story-driven shooters on PS4, by the way.
With Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, developer MachineGames is shifting the fight overseas to a Nazi-occupied “United States of Amerika.”
The themes are heavy, and MachineGames doesn’t pull any punches in its depiction of this dark alternate history — though the studio wisely punctuates the tension with moments of shocking humor, such as the infamous milkshake scene shown at E3.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy plots a bold new course for the time-tested Uncharted formula. Last week I went hands-on with a sequence set in India’s Western Ghats region. The freewheeling, open-ended structure may represent the series’ biggest gameplay evolution since the introduction of multiplayer way back in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
Zac and I played the game last week; listen in below to hear our full hands-on impressions.

The Destiny 2 Open Beta will provide a sampling of Destiny’s different play modes. Here’s what’s scheduled for July 18 on PS4 , straight from Bungie HQ.
With Spider-Man Homecoming swinging into theaters next month, I got a few minutes to chat with director Jon Watts about his take on Spidey, integrating with the larger Marvel cinematic universe, and what the success of films like Logan and Deadpool mean for comic adaptations.
Also, visit PlayStation Store on your PS4 today to watch four new minutes of Spider-Man Homecoming ahead of the film’s launch on July 7 in North America.
In a world where nothing is sacred and no one is safe, the outcome of The Great War for the Iron Throne is anyone’s guess. Game of Thrones Season 7 is poised to debut on July 16, and we wanted to arm PlayStation Vue subscribers with a skimmable guide to the biggest developments last season so you’re ready for the big day.
