Hello, Cory Davis here! I’ve exhumed a treasure chest full of Here They Lie news and updates from the void.
While many of you have been diving into the nightmarish rabbit-hole that is Here They Lie on PlayStation VR, we’ve continued forging ahead on future updates and additions to improve the experience. I’m excited to let you know about the goodies that are about to roll out for the PS VR version and… wait for it… the PS4 and PS4 Pro versions of Here They Lie!
Since we last convened, Here They Lie has crawled out of the shadows and into the collective psyche of PlayStation VR acolytes. A nightmarish trip full of malevolent creatures, hallucinations, out-of-body experiences, esoteric realms, and existential questions — all created to get under your skin, keep you up at night, and leave you terrified about your insignificance in the vast universe.
Coincidentally, those are also all of the things I love about Halloween.
The PlayStation.Blog team can’t wait for October 13. With the launch of PlayStation VR in North America, we’re entering a new era of gaming — one that places players directly into the worlds that developers so lovingly create. To prepare for this amazing next chapter in PlayStation history, we all donned that PlayStation VR headset and sampled a bevy of upcoming PlayStation VR titles.
Here They Lie is a horror game coming to PlayStation VR. Naturally, we had to investigate. Join us for interviews with the team behind that one, as well as a chat with the team working on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. Oh, and Justin tries, unsuccessfully, to talk about Final Fantasy XIV’s new patch.
Hello everyone! Cory Davis here — back from the Tangentlemen dev cave, and I’ll be the first to admit… we’ve been a bit cryptic with the details since we announced Here They Lie at E3 2016.
Here’s the thing. Back then, Here They Lie was still oozing out of the subconscious like a tide of terror, washing over our reality, and dragging us further into its dark realm. It took everything we had to stare directly into the void… It had to be done in a shroud of darkness.
But that time is past.
Is anybody out there? Can you hear me? Is this thing on? Oh hello – my name is Cory Davis, Co-Creative Director at a studio you have never heard of: Tangentlemen.
