What’s your favorite memory from Kingdom Hearts? Mine takes me back to my childhood, when I first saw a Kingdom Hearts commercial on TV. I was entranced by the beautiful music playing in the background!
I know, I know, itsbeen84years.gif. But it happened! People outside Square Enix have actually played the third mainline entry in the long, long-running Kingdom Hearts series. And I’m one of them!
Kingdom Hearts has touched countless lives across numerous games since the first title in 2002 — KH3 is only the series’ third mainline title — impressive for a collaboration that stemmed from a casual elevator chat between executives (Square Enix’s Shinji Hashimoto among them).
Tetsuya Nomura, director of Kingdom Hearts 3, said in a presentation preceding yesterday’s hands-on session that the theme of this game is “resolution” — specifically, that of the ongoing battle against main series antagonist Xehanort. He also alluded to a darker overall theme than we saw in earlier titles, foreshadowed in events that take place in the mobile game Kingdom Hearts Union Cross.
Hello Kingdom Hearts fans! Did you get a chance to see the new gameplay trailer for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, which showcases Aqua, one of the original Keyblade wielders, and her battle against the Heartless? The battle is featured in a completely new playable episode in Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A fragmentary passage –, which is included in the HD compilation and includes next-generation graphics.

Picking up from where Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX ends, this trailer continues the journey of awesomeness and is chock full of some of your favorite characters like Roxas, Xehanort, Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, Terra, young Hercules, King Mickey, as well as Captain Jack Sparrow — just to name a few. The trailer spans over the three titles bundled in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX.
