With E3 2018 just days away, we’ve collected a bunch of info we think will come in handy for patrons of the gaming arts, whether you’ll be in Los Angeles or joining us via the magic of the internet. Here’s what PlayStation will be up to at E3 this year:
Hey, it’s almost E3 again! PlayStation’s got plenty of updates to share — so many, in fact, that we’re going to start the party a little early.
The main course will be served at the PlayStation E3 2018 Showcase, which starts Monday evening, June 11, at 6:00pm Pacific.
The Evasion team is focused on one big goal: to offer a shooter designed for VR that delivers on everything we love about FPSes. We want to evoke that fast, frantic feeling that you get from games like Doom and Borderlands where you’re ducking behind cover to avoid a barrage of attacks, laying down suppression fire as your teammate hacks a gate, or racing down a corridor with enemies around every corner. After almost two years building our dream game for VR, we are delighted to announce that Evasion is being released on PlayStation VR, with custom support for the Aim Controller.
We have some great news for those who have been waiting to jump into PlayStation VR. Starting tomorrow, March 29, we’re reducing the MSRP of PS VR, now starting at $299.99 USD/379.99 CAD (MSRP). This new pricing provides an even greater value for PlayStation fans at a perfect time, with must-play PS VR titles like Moss and Sprint Vector. There is also plenty to look forward to this year like Firewall Zero Hour, Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality, WipEout Omega Collection, Blood & Truth and many others.
Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality is a great way to question your self worth, and we’re excited to give PlayStation VR owners the chance to do just that in 2018 when Virtual Rick-ality comes to PS VR.
Virtual Rick-ality is a fully-voiced VR game featuring Rick, Morty, and oodles of iconic stuff from the TV show. In the game, you play as a Morty clone on a journey that’ll take you across multiple dimensions and to places like Purgatory and even the Smiths’ bathroom. Along the way, you’ll solve puzzles and experience a great Rick and Morty story.
If you haven’t picked up PlayStation VR yet, we’ve got some good news – the PS VR bundle is making a return. This was available for pre-order before launch, but it’s hitting store shelves next week for $499 USD / $699 CAD (MSRP). Check your local retailers for availability.
Hello all. Stephen from Radial Games here to show you the new trailer for Fantastic Contraption, coming to PS VR next spring!
The original version of Battlezone unarguably deserves its place in the pantheon of greats. 36 years ago, Atari unleashed the arcade game on the world and created an entire new genre: the first-person shooter. The cabinet also featured an innovative periscope viewer thorough which you’d peer into the game’s green wireframe world, creating an intimate, personal experience that resembled VR.
