The day has finally arrived, PlayStation fans — Resident Evil VII biohazard is out today! It seems uniquely human to seek out things that scare us, doesn’t it? From campfire stories to terrifying films, many of us live to be scared, thrilled, and exhilarated.
Capcom has heard your cries for true survival horror. We’re proud to say that Resident Evil VII biohazard returns to the series’ roots while delivering a fresh new experience unlike anything you’ve seen in the Resident Evil franchise.
It all started with a simple message – “Get out of the house.” Over three million PlayStation 4 players (and counting) have downloaded the Resident Evil 7 Teaser: Beginning Hour demo since it was announced at E3 earlier this year, hoping to escape from the dilapidated mansion. Navigating the decrepit hallways, players would soon find their attempt to escape cut off with another message: “Welcome to the family, son.” Since then, the community has discovered multiple endings, experienced strange occurrences, and even found a dangerous-looking axe. Now, with the final update, “Midnight,” available today, you’ll discover how it all comes together.
We’ve just announced a new update for the demo, the Twilight version update, which expands on what you can do and explore. The update will be available starting tomorrow, September 15th. That’s not all – this demo will be available for every PlayStation 4 user, meaning that PlayStation Plus is no longer required to gain access to the plantation house and dig in to the mansion’s mysteries. Now is your chance to investigate on your own, as both newcomers and veterans of Beginning Hour will be able to see what’s changed in the run-down rooms and decrepit corridors.
