PSN Top Sellers: November 2011 Edition

Posted by on Dec 07, 2011

The numbers are in! Starting this month we’re expanding the PSN sales charts to include not only the 20 top-selling PSN and PS3 Full Games, but also the top five PS one Classics, PSP games, and Add-Ons.

You may not be surprised to see inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood at the top of the PS3 list…but you may be interested to learn that it’s also now officially the fastest-selling PS3 digital game ever launched on PSN. Not bad, eh? Congrats, Sucker Punch Productions! On the PS one Classics front, newly released RPG classic Chrono Cross led the pack; in the PSP category, the story-driven scares of Corpse Party took the lead; and in the Add-Ons department, Batman: Arkham City’s Nightwing Bundle came out on top.

Were there any particular surprises for you this month? Did your favorite game make the cut? Thoughts on how we can make this monthly post even more valuable? Let us know in the comments below, and we’ll see you with December’s Top Sellers in early January. Happy holidays!

The numbers are in: It’s time to break down the Top 20 PSN games from October! This list tracks top games purchased, downloaded and installed; it does not track games given away as part of PlayStation Plus. With that, let’s get to the list!

In the chill of October, PSN gamers have been keeping warm with NBA JAM: On Fire Edition! But co-op bank robbery shooter PAYDAY: The Heist came in close (with a release in the later part of October as well), along with other new arrivals including Dungeon Defenders and Crysis. Also notable are the PS2 Classics that hit the Store with Odin Sphere and God Hand both cracking the top 20.

We hope you find this information valuable, and that it gives you some new perspective on popular PSN games that you may have missed. If you’re looking for the most-downloaded movies and TV shows on the PlayStation Video Store, you can find that information here.

Clearly the April 2011 release of Mortal Kombat left PS3 owners wanting more, as the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection earned the top slot in September. Newcomers Resident Evil 4 HD, From Dust, Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, Burnout Crash! and Renegade Ops also made strong showings this month. The original PSone Resident Evil games also proved quite popular — and no, this list does not include PlayStation Plus members who downloaded the games for free.
