As you may well know, next week brings us the Game Developers Conference in sunny (for now) San Francisco. It’s a place where game creators of all types can learn, share, and connect. Sometimes, it’s where a young kid gets his/her big break. They also have a LOLcats page. So, just like with CES, I’m putting our PlayStation.Blog coverage in the hands of you, the faithful blog reader.

If you could ask someone from Q-Games, Incognito, Clap Hanz or our Santa Monica Studios any question – what would it be? As much as possible, I’ll pass those questions on, and report back with answers. We’ll also be posting game development insights from Shuhei Yoshida, SCEA Senior Vice President of Product Development.

Over the weekend, we’ll also temporarily install a twitter feed on the right side of the blog for updates throughout GDC. If you’d like to sign up to follow along now, you can do that here. And of course, we’ll have a special section on our Flickr page to give you an idea of what the whole thing looks like.

So what else do we have planned? Well, as part of the blogging community (and what a strange group it is), we’re going to give back this year. So for all the bloggers out there covering GDC in some official capacity (read: you’ve got official credentials), allow me to extend an invite to our PlayStation Bloggers’ Lounge. We’ll have all you need to get your work done (WiFi, food, caffeine), as well as game demos, and even access to some of the developers mentioned above. More details here.

Stay tuned for more updates. Until then, get those questions in!

Incognito:

What’s next for Incognito in terms of development? More Warhawk? A totally new project?

Is Incognito still considering developing a single-player campaign for Warhawk?

Can you reveal some of your ideas on how you can or will expand Warhawk?

Santa Monica Studios:

Is God of War III in development? If so, how far along are you in the development cycle?

Can you give us gamers/PlayStation fans an idea on when you will start revealing your development project(s)?

Hello Jeff, I would like to know why are split screen multiplayer feature in games is becoming a thing of the past, this feature is becoming extinct and I love playing with my friends on the same tv more than playing online.

And maybe you can move your influences for developers to create more rpg games!

Q games were also the guys responsible for some of the really neat background visualizations for the ps3, if I’m not mistaken, so I have a question for them…

Any new visualizations coming soon, or better yet, can we see that earth one become a background choice in the future?

To Geurilla Games regarding Killzone 2…

We’re all expecting this game to be great, but we haven’t seen ANYTHING since E3. How’s it coming along, and any news on multiplayer?

To Naughty Dog

How exactly are you guys so bloody awesome…? Oh and will we be seeing Jak return anytime soon =D ?

To David Jaffe

What is eat sleep play going to do to shake things up? A studio run by one of the brightest (and craziest) minds in gaming has to have some really neat stuff for us.

To Insomniac…

(drools) Resistance 2 looks fantastic, and its still a ways away for some of us gamers who have no patience. Will there be a demo before its release, or a multiplayer beta, or are we to expect a draught of information to tease us even more before it goes gold?

To Incognito…

Warhawk is amazing, and omega dawn was a really neat booster pack. But whats next? Is your next game going to follow the same model as Warhawk, as a cheaper game available on the PSN and in store as a bundle?

To Team ICO…

Can I have your children? Haha…honestly, whats coming, when is it, and how amazingly awesome is it going to be?

To Capcom…

You’ve had community bashings before, but nothing that gamers can actually agree on until now, what gives with the PS3 installs?

To NIS…

Any chance of puttin up Disgaea and Disgaea 2 on the PSN…?

To Square Enix…

I lost my 1st cd of ff7, and finding the game for a respectable price is a surefire way of causing yourself to go insane. Are we going to see some of the PS1 Final Fantasy classics hit the american psn store anytime soon? Also, whats so special about this white engine?

And finally, to Jeff Rubenstein…

Who do we contact to get them to increase your salary mate, because you’ve been doing a great job =D

Is there any chance that “loaded” on the ps1 could become a classic on psn or remade would be even better?

Hey Jeff this needs to be asked to Sony its very important, tell them when are we going to See any big titles for the PSN. Like Final Fantasy 7, 8, 9, or Metal Gear Solid games, and such. Cause the classics are atrocious right now, although the latest update was good. But if we can get some big time FF titles its going to be set, please respond and ask me your going to try to ask them, cause many people are very unhappy with the classics i am one of them. Thanks for your time, also i just became a member so i can post this to you, hope you get a chance.
