      Questions regarding save data:

      How does the Vita actually handle save files?
      Do we have to backup the memory card for us to save files?
      How about the games that save to game card instead of memory card, can we backup the saves on there?

      Hey Jeff, have you seen the review scores Journey has gotten so far?

      It’s an insta classic!

      Though I don’t put much weight on reviews (positive or negative), the praise Journey is receiving is making the 2 week wait very difficult!

      I need that game IML (in my life)

      Vita games saves & you.

      Vita handles saves in at least two different ways.

      The first is with Vita game cards. Every Vita game card installs an app onto the LiveArea of the Vita. This “app” contains not only a very small app for the game to live in the LiveArea, it also contains space to store saves. This “app” will grow in size as your game save grows. Backing up this save will take some space but usually a very small amount (~10MB or so; some my be larger and other smaller).

      The second method is really the same as the first but it’s quite frustrating for an end user. If your Vita game is a digital download from PSN, the game save is stored inside the full “app”. So, for example, if a Vita game you downloaded from PSN is 1.5GBs in size, your save file is inside that “app”. You’ll need to backup the whole app in order to”save” your game save.

      I’ve not found a method to just getting the “save” file out of a PSN downloaded Vita game. It’s unfortunate because the file sizes can be rather large.

      I’ve also not witnessed any game saves being stored on a Vita game card themselves. This could be due to me having a Vita memory card installed. I’m not clear on what happens if you “install” a Vita game card to a Vita without a memory card present. Hope that helps.

      You’re so lucky you’re playing Gravity Rish. That game needs to come to North America sooner. If you guys get any news on new JRPGs coming to North America Vita please update us right away. We could use Ragnarok Odyssey or the Tales Vita game over here!

      Do you also reveal why Storm was included in the last store update and then removed with no explanation?

      I can’t understand why SONY always takes this ‘say nothing’ approach when anything happens.

      1) Seth Killian was a fantastic choice as a guest this week. I was wondering when you guys were thinking of having some Canadians on your show? I know Geoff Keighley or Victor Lucas would be some great choices!

      2) I heard Sid say that Cole MacGrath is a playable character in the PS3 version of Street Fighter X Tekken. I thought he was only a Vita exclusive?

      3) Speaking of Street Fighter X Tekken, what is your all time favorite cross-over fighter? I think that Marvel vs Capcom 2 is probably the favorite for most people, but I absolutely LOVED Capcom vs SNK 2. I really think they should bring that series back from the grave, or at least give it a HD makeover. What do you guys think?

      4) Jeff, you are THE MAN for almost choosing Chun Li as your daughter’s middle name.

      Nice episode, guys; As always. I am looking forward to all of those games next week such as Mass Effect 3, Unit 13, Street Fighter X Tekken, Motorstorm RC, and a few others.

      Question though: Is MotorStorm RC a PSN only title? Also, any word on bundles/discounts if you want to get both the PS3 and Vita version?

      Everything I have been hearing about Journey has been great. I’m really excited for its release, I have been eagerly anticipating it for a long time.

      To solve the “Hadouken/Hadoken” conundrum you spoke of in today’s podcast:

      When romanizing Japanese phonetics, a long “o” sound is usually/often written as “ou”. So, while “Hadouken” might look funny, it’s actually a perfectly correct way to spell the word, even though the pronunciation is still “Ha-doh-oh-ken”. In spelling out Japanese words in english, both “Hadoken” and “Hadouken” might be seen, but both are pronounced the same.

      guys another question! I went to work (gamestop) and a customer went to the counter and said he wanted to reserve SFXTekken for the Vita and the game its not on the list of reservations… he left but i wandered, why its not in the list? its not the vita game coming the same day as its brothers? Why? i wanted SFxTekken on my Vita too :(

      Loved the podcast as I do everyone but I’d like to know how are you guys doing with your SuperStardust Delta trophies and I need some help achieving “THE TOKENIZER” I haven’t put that much effort into it but I was wondering if the opportunity comes in Sekora and if or not I should use delta or pure during my quest.

      I’ll wait to listen until I can d/l on my Vita. The Vita was not over-hyped. Exact opposite. It is fantastic. If only Journey would be ported to it……dreams do come true, right?

      Cool info on the games with most platinums. I wish we could see more info on trophies and percentage of platinums and what not, just like Heavy Rain By the Numbers here:

      Get someone from Clap Handz or somone at a SCEA studio to talk about Hot Shots in the future. And give us a heads up, I need super technical questions answered like why does finishing 11th in a daily get the same number of TP as somone who finished 150th?(answer is anything out of the top 11th through whatever the top 10% cutoff is get the same amount of points, but what I mean is why isn’t the points system have more range to it allowing for move movement).

      Hot Shots Fore! had a tournament with prizes, I didn’t have internet at the time so I couldn’t take part so do one now since I do have internet:p

      Here’s a question I noticed today going back to my PS3. Why doesn’t any of my Vita games show up in my trophy list on PS3? I’m big for trophies and I like to show off, so kinda curious why those don’t appear on PS3. In contrast you can see both your Vita and PS3 game trophies on Vita.

      Thinking about it, it might not be implemented…

      Please dont buy mass effect 3. if you have to buy it, buy it used. Never has EA’s abuse of DLC been so prominent as it is on that game. And I like mass effect, its not easy for me to boycott that game but im going to this time. For any who dont know what im talking about, they removed a vital piece of story from the game in order to make it day 1 DLC, A character that is vital to the plot.

      I truly enjoy the podcast guys but seriously, please equalize your microphones so you are all at the same sound level. one guy is yelling and the next guy is whispering and I feel like im constantly adjusting volume to be able to hear.

      on that note, I am looking forward to MotorStorm RC and Gravity Rush a lot. Any word on a demo release for Gravity Rush?

      Also, since the PS Vita is region free, is it possible to import a european version of a PS Vita game and play it in english on my PS Vita? Thanks!

      Hey guys, I’m loving the podcast. I’ve been searching and I haven’t found or heard anything, but how do you do cross platform play in Hustle Kings between the Vita and PS3? I’ve tried and haven’t been able to figure it out. I’ve searched online and I found one youtube tutorial, but I still haven’t been able to make it work. I’m running the latest version of Hustle Kings on the PS3. Is another update or patch needed/incoming that hasn’t been announced yet?

      I WANT TO PLAY ME3 ON MY VITA! That was one of the reasons I bought a vita. (I love my vita) but I thought I was gonna be able to play whatever I wanted like… My ps3 games. I thought if I hooked my psv to my ps3 I could play games like that but… I guess you can’t have everything you want. Because that was the impression I got when they said cross platform gaming. Did anyone get that impression?

      I don’t want to have to choose between if I want to play my Psv or my ps3 I want to Play them together. I want to play what I want to play, not what you say I can play. I just want to play my ps3 games on my Psv while my girlfriend watches TV. That’s what I thought cross platform playing was.

      I haven’t comment for any of the episodes yet but I do listen to them. With that said, I have to say that enjoy the podcast honestly. There’s a tip that I wanted to give but I don’t know if anyone has done this yet. If you sign in on PSN on your PS Vita and if you go to account management. Then head to Account Information, it will show your avatar and color. Click on color and it will bring up an array of different backgrounds to choose from. Depending on the color, if it’s different from the default colors to use for your PSN on PS3. That color will be added to the selection from the time being. However, if you select one of the default ones then the new color will disappear. I know it’s confusing with all the colors but I found that out earlier this week thanks to a friend. Anyway, I enjoy the show and great job guys.

      Noticed that the PS Vita AR games don’t have trophies. Is it not a standard rule that Vita games will have trophies? I know that it is a strict policy that PS3 games have them after 2008, and was hoping that the Vita would have the same policy.

      Hey guys,

      Great work. I had a questions for the Assassin’s Creed 3 developers and hope you pick it.

      As an Indian American (as in India, not Native American), I always look for characters who stray away from the norm (the male white protagonist). Not that there is anything wrong with the norm, however, I do find it a little difficult at times to relate to such a character. However, at Ubisoft, you have branched out with your main characters, having a Persian in Prince of Persia, and a lead from the Middle East with Altair. From what I’ve read, Mr. AC3 seems to be Native American, or at least half. Recently, Activision with Prototype 2 and Sony with Starhawk are having black leads. How important do you feel it is to make the lead character in video games diverse, and would it be difficult to sell to an audience who is predominantly young white males? Did you take any of this into consideration, or did the team not really feel a pressure to make the race an important factor when designing the game? What other main characters were thrown around before you made your pick.

      Thanks for all your work; I love the Assassin’s series, and hope to see a sequel to Prince of Persia 2008 one day!

      My Near app has not worked in 5 days and it’s the main reason I purchased the 3G version. Where can I go for official help in fixing this? I can’t research it by error code as there is none, it only says “An error has occurred”. Is there a patch coming? Any help would be appreciated.
