Prepare yourselves for a free games lineup the likes of which you’ve (probably) never seen! We’ve got rocket-powered cars, stealthy goblins, science cats,and even a little dab of arthouse wonder for good measure. All free starting next week for PS Plus members.

This month’s lineup includes four games playable on PS4, starting with the multiplayer mayhem of Rocket League. Use insane stunts and teamwork to score points in this fast-paced arcade game that even features a wholesome little cameo from Sweet Tooth, our favorite demonic ice cream truck.

Also included is the fantasy stealth game Styx: Master of Shadows, and the head-scratching puzzles of Mousecraft. And if you’re still not satisfied, why not embark upon an adventure that spans nine lifetimes in the surreal story of Entwined?

Rounding out the lineup is Rain on PS3 and Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved on PS Vita. All these games will be free for PS Plus members starting on July 7th. If you want to see these games in motion, hit that play button below.

    Are you kidding me?!
    These younger game players that like indies are calling us hard-core gamers stupid for hating the indies?!
    Who are you? you’ve probably been playing for a year or less, and all you know are these stupid indies!
    I’ve been a gamer for over 30 years. I grew up with the start of it all on Atari and Colecovision. As the graphics got better, I got more involved.
    I for one, refuse to put any money into those types of games. I refuse to allow the stuff on my hard-drive, even if it is free. And I have pretty much stopped spending my $3k a year on playstation and their stuff. They’d be lucky to get $500 out of me in a year, and that’s including buying discs from a retailer.
    But for you stupid preteens and teens to sit there and call us hardcore gamers stupid for not like the way the gaming industry is going is even more stupid! Take a trip down into the past of gaming. See where we’ve been and the peaks we were able to see happen. Then you may just understand why we don’t like this new path. The gaming companies and indies are throwing us back into the dark ages instead of bringing us into a new age. Or am I the only one that sees how bad this has gotten?

      ugh with the crap graphics and endless line of first person shooters i was just saying the other day how much better fallout 2 was to the last 2 that came out, give me final fantasy party battle style combat but with next gen graphics, and i love ya snake but if i have to play one more f’kn game were i sneak around for hours not killing anyone because “killing is wrong” i’ll kill myself!, i play mor games on my cellphone and tablet than i do on my ps3 or 4

      –This dude nailed it.
      –older gamers,mall the majority of,older gamers who are anti-Indy is simply because there is no beauty,creativity or artistic whatever in a crapy looking GREAT game like Hotline Miami or similar style game that are amazingly fun but have this awful pixilated antiquated look…ugh!

      –I too grew up with this and pained throug all the Megamans and final fantasy sports that looked “pixilated”
      –I love Indy games. Just not the cheap ones like I described..
      –just a observation because it saddens me when I see a 17 year old swear by this/that Indy game as its beutiful or artistic and is offended at the old school haters(like me and dude I quoted).. Maybe that hate-free explanation explains it a lil bit..

    This is quite disappointing, I’ll try theses out and may even love them, but other than Geometry Wars everything else looks forgettable.

    sony this is trash AGAIN!! since 2015 you have started to bring trash games to PSN PLUS i would have choose you owns games then this Piece of garbage line up. sorry but your lucky i’m keeping my plus for cloud saves other wise that’s it you guys are fools just sucking people in for online play for PS4. 2 words YOU FAILED.

    Pretty disappointed in this lineup. Japan got some awesome games like Guily Gear, and we get…Mousecraft and Rocket League? Come on Sony, its the 5th anniversary of PS+ and this is what you give your largest market? I understand not all indie games are bad, a lot are great, but these indie only lineups need to end. But of course it won’t, because the PS4 is on top right now and Sony can do whatever they want for the time being.

    I can see the perspective of people who look at the content of these ps4 games and say “great, we’ve got monster truck soccer, goblin stealth, mouse puzzle game where you try to get to cheese, and a game where i control a bird and fish who represent lovers”. Putting in that perspective you can see how many might say these games suck. In fact, i have some friends who dont have PS+ and if they saw me playing these games they surely make fun of me. But the real question, are the games fun? I’ll give rocket league and styx a shot and add the others to library in case i get bored later. If the games are fun i can look past the silliness of some of the actual content.

    I used to love PS+ but as of recently there haven’t been a lot of games on offer that have interested me (indie or whatnot). I like trying new games but a lot of the ones have fallen flat for me ill download them and play them once, maybe twice and that’s it they’ll just sit on my system until I need to make space. With the recent trends I don’t buy any indie games because i just assume they’ll be offered for free in a month or two. Really id like to see some great games for the vita especially, hell id settle for some PS classics being added in to these lists of games or at least making PS NOW a bonus to the service.

    rain hunh, 2 hour snooze fest about a couple lil sissies chasing each other in wet clothes? think i’ll just get back to playing skyrim, hell even dust which is 100% than any game ive seen on here in…………..4, 5 months, you would think with ps3 dying off they could manage 1 decent game every month, instead were getting garbage we could but would never download on our phones and play, the deals arent even decent anymore this is pathetic, and why are we paying for ps vue or whatever its called? got a ps+ subscription you got vue ya know cause you need ps+ to play online now thats an added bonus, nope, hang your face in shame sony you have no honor

    I’m not the one to complain about free games, but come on we need better games for ps +. The past couple months the games haven’t been the best for PS3 and PS4.

      What do you want? Bloodborne? ESO? The Witcher?

      Bloodborne cost approx 60 million dollars to make.
      ESO – 200 million
      The Witcher 3 – 32 million + 35 mil in marketing.

      If you think you are going to get these free, for paying less than one of these games would cost new throughout the course of an entire year, then you should probably take an economics class.

    This is a awesome month…1st Asassins Creed Black Flag and now ‘STYX’….

    —too bad about Rain..I had wanted to play that or at least check it out when it released.. But I don’t even bother getting the free games anymore on PS3. Just a waste of (my) time..

    —I remember picking up Styx for $5 on Xbox but never played it.
    –I love having ‘digital copy games on BOTH systems..This way If I’m sucked in a long game on one console I can playlist on other..
    -in this case I don’t want to take ‘Payday’ out of disc-tray.

    –sorry if I’m not pretending I own make believe stock in PLaystation tonight, and I’m not ripping on Xbox.. <This gamer learned the hard way by missing,out on 4 years of NO PS3 last generation… Never again!!

    —Styx looks like a lot of fun but I suspect it gets repetitive and old fast.. I think that's why I never played..

    –black Flag–I dunno if I want to go through that again..yeah it was awesome & yeah it will look uber-dope in super HD, but every game looks good. And we are soo stacked rich than now with awesome games..still haven't sparked Batman,Witcher,& Farcry. And I already decided Farcry is on-deck cause of how fun 3 was….

    Hahaha so excited for Rocket League I would have spent $40 for the game easily if I needed to but I’m getting it free the day it comes out. People might complain about no AAA games now (which they do every month) but when they play this game they will see how wrong they are.

    I understand that some people may like this kind of games but in my opinion, PS4/3 is doing it wrong.
    Yes, I’m close minded and I hate indie games, and for me this was one of the worst lineups ever.
    I’ve always downloaded every single free PS3 game from PS Plus for 4 years but for the last 4 months, the only thing I’ve downloaded was crap.
    PS Plus PS3 lineups will never be good as they were, and I understand the fact that ‘PS3 is getting old’ and Sony just wants to sell PS4 and leave PS3 behind, but I cannot afford a PS4 + games right away, and I’m sure I’m not the only one with financial problems, but come on, as a 4 years PS Plus member, I think I deserved better than ” MouseCraft “, ” Entwined ” and ” Rain ”
    Judge me for not liking Mousecraft, or Rain, -.-

    @ bombbreath : What I really disliking about Playstation in current moment is that how you guys treat everyone but Japan. Sony is Japanese company and i understand that, but we (USA) are also supporting Playstation not XBOX, because it is best console. Even tho XBOX is American. However, Playstation decided to celebrate Ps plus 5th anniversary with only JAPAN? seiousely? In my opinions thats saying that american players who supporting PS are worth nothing and they dont worth same respect as Japanese players. Thats what makes me really mad.

    As a Turkish user I couldn’t find “Styx : Master of Shadows” in my download list. I’m afraid there is another stupid limitation of markets just as it was made last year in “Outlast” (it was not provided to Turkish PSN as well). So my question is, will we always be treated like children and told what to play and what to not? Or do we look like idiots from there, that we might be too afraid of a stupid game. And the final question is, what do you think to compensate our loss because we pay the same amount (or even more, compared to daily fx rates) with the other players but we’re being given less content for the same amount of money. Do you think it’s fair???

    – what the hell is that supposed to mean. Are u saying AAA games shouldn’t be called, well, games? besides which one game first. I can tell u that it was not “indie”.

    I actually like indie games, but those who play AAA games are still gamers.

    … and I thought nothing could be worse than June… More Indies, great, just great!!! Thank God I also own an XBox. People at Microsoft are offering Black Flag. I know it’s an old game, but at least they hit the AAA segment. I get it, Sony virtually controls the consoles market, so why bother, right?

    Like usual I think this is a good mix of new games and good games from the past, with a heavy weighting on PS4 and Vita – all fine by me!

    So on playstation.com if you goto games->ps plus->free games it lists “Pneuma: Breath of Life”. Since I have gotten in the habit of just adding all the games to my cart and quickly checking out I accidentally bought the game for 13.49. I didn’t notice the total until I had already pressed the purchase button.

    Eh, Another boring month, People go on about Rocket League but…..Soccer is still Soccer no matter who or what is playing it, just not interested, Sorry.

    Oh well, least that means I won’t have things getting in the way of Omega Quintet being played, since I’ve still got it and a few other games to play…

    Yep. It’s time to go back to free online multiplayer. Have had ps plus since ps4 launch and still have yet to be offered a single game that is interesting to me. Each month is the same. Getting really tired of seeing the indie crapfest that this has turned into. It’s really dissapointing to never be able to get excited about a game for plus. Oh and btw, EFF YES! I’d DEFINITELY love to play Black Flag over any of these plus games since launch! I must be in the severe minority here because I keep seeing people loving this stuff. You can keep all your games and your cloud storage and I’ll settle for free multiplayer.

      i’ve had plus since sept 2014 and i have about 8-9 games still from it. MSG Ground Zeroes is good because it was free, id never pay $40 for that game though when it launched. THe main mission is short but im still playing the side missions to get perfect ranking. Drive Club just released, while you can say it should have happened a year ago, it didnt. Injustice Gods among us, Infamous first light, Apotheon, Steam world digg is a fun game, binding of issac i stil mess around with., valiant hearts was another great game, counter spy okay still play it from time to time, escape plan is cool to play quick before i go out or when i come home and need to wind down, rocket league is fun i just played it for 2 hours last night.

      it depends on your platform. i think styx and rocket league are ps4 only. some of the others are cross buys

    also the cross buys you can still add to library or download but you have to search for those games specifically (they do not appear on the free games list when you are in ps store)

    Excellent lineup this month. I’ve only just got back on Playstation Plus, as I’ve only just got a PS4 (and PS+ is kind of obligatory). The reason why I cancelled my PS+ account previously is that I went through a period of about 6 months where it was nothing but AAA titles THAT I ALREADY OWNED. That, my friends, is a waste of money. I’ve played none of the games this month and they all look excellent, so keep these indie gems coming. Cheers!

    Does anyone know how to get rain for ps4? the video says you can play it on ps4 but i can’t find it in the store and i get no results when trying to google this, my gf and i really want to play this game but only have a ps4.

    Well I wasn’t interested in these games like every month as far as plus goes for ps4. I ended up trying them anyways figuring there must me something to all this love for Rocket League. To be quite honest, it was fun for an hour or so. After that it gets rather boring though. It happens I guess. Lots of people loved Twilight too and that was quite the wreck. Still would much rather go back to free online play as none of the other “services” provided are useful to me. I really miss being able to be excited about the “free” games that were offered but those days are over now. I’ve been with Playstation since the PS1 days and had enjoyed it for a great number of years. In any case, if Xbox continues to put out better games with their monthly offerings I’m just going to switch. Kind of exciting to try out something new! Take care all.

      Glad you are enjoying it but to me it is pretty boring even when I am playing with friends. I have never really enjoyed soccer though, so I wasn’t surprised when I didn’t enjoy the game all that much.

    Let’s be honest sony, your lineup sucks, and I apologize because I dont mean to be a jerk, but I mean come on wth. I mean look at what your coming out with lmao Pocket league?, Driveclub PS plus ed.? Lol dude why does ps plus even have an edition? you cant play any game downloaded without the subscription. Still on topic but just adding, honestly this is the weakest lineup in the history of gaming, and not just cuase of the free games that suck so bad that you give them out for free, but for even the games you have to pay for. smh
