  • @132,

It’s funny coz summer just ended here in the Philippines. As a child I used to complain about the dates being off. ahahaha

  • Seems Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One is just a one hour trial? Just downloaded it played it for a while then said its expired ( was giving me the 30 , 15 and 5 min remaining bubbles). Anyone else having this issue?

  • Best update ever!

  • This is an awesome update… thanks! One question… will the full, free PS3/PSN games always be available for download for PS+ members, or will the promotion expire at some point?

  • pretty cool but i’ve noticed psone and ps2 games have come to a real slowdown, and especially now with backwards-compatible systems being so rare, is there any chance we’re gonna see games like Kingdom Hearts or The Bouncer ever coming to psn?

  • I hate to complain about free games but after 5 hours of downloading games, the first 3 games I tried to play all needed significant update downloads. Guess I’ll try back again tomorrow? Would be awesome if game downloads could be pre-patched to the latest versions.

  • @147, i can understand your anger, but you’re also coming off as a patient person- which is a positive trait. We’re in summer now; it won’t be long. :D

  • This is dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm epic. I am at a complete lost for words.

  • This is why I left Xbox after 9+ years strong because a company that invest in you, “the customer” then i will invest in them. I was going to hesitate on buying like 3 vita games tonight but im going to the store now to get them straight up.

  • Question:

What is the largest hard drive that the PS3 can currently hold?

With all these sweet PS Plus deals, and just the great games that Sony continuously releases on PSN, my HDD has finally reached its limits. I would like to know if the PS3 can hold a TB or larger HDD as that is what I would probably get. The first time I upgraded my HDD they did not make the 2.5 sata hard drives that large and I was just wondering if they do now.

If anyone has a TB or larger HDD in their PS3 I would appreciate it if you shared how it is holding up and if that large of a HDD affects anything such as load times. And also how much space of that do you actually get to use?

  • Rentals, i like to actualy OWNNN my games forever. so nothing for me but greattt for ps+members that only play games once and toss them ahaa… and the games on sale for 4.99 instead of 10 arent that great. Hamster Ball and that board surfing game. realy wish it was Savage Moon and Shoot all Robots that got the half price sell. owell maybe next week. still regardles, great job on what your doing sony. PS3 Gamer from the Hood for life, haha.

  • Seriously Sony…i just bought the ultimate pack for infamous 2 last 2 days and now its free? gosh i feel cheated :(

  • I’m with @teammomo99 , I bought Infamous 2 as well 2 days ago.

    Sony,

That is CLEARLY unethical. You cannot make a big deal about your “Ultimate Deal” and urge people to buy a game through publicity than put the same games for free 3-4 days later. That is disgusting, I’m pretty sure it’s against some consumer law.

I called Sony and they said there’s nothing they can do. But people, if like me you bought games from the Ultimate Deals that are now free, please call Sony.

Once again, THAT IS DISGUSTING. I’m a proud PS Plus member, but now I feel betrayed and hoodwinked. This is awful

  • If I become a plus member now can I get these games for free? Also, what happens when my plus membership expire?

  • i just want 2 say thank you sony, great update

  • I was just checking the playstation store and looking at the new releases and I saw so many great games for free. Lara Croft, little big planet, saints row, VF5, ….I can keep listing. I thought there was a mistake. Looking at this blog, I can see now it wasn’t. Wow, thanks a whole bunch!

  • I generally don’t comment on blog posts any more, but this one is particularly disturbing to me. The big hubbub last week was that you were offering super bundles on full games with Plus users getting a 50% discount on these great games. I was all for this promotion and thought that this is exactly the kind of think full digital titles need to be successful compared to their physical counterparts.

So, being a fan, I purchased some of the titles that were on sale. And now less than a week later you are offering some of the same titles to Plus users for free? C’mon man! You conned me into purchasing games equal to almost an entire year’s subscription to the Plus service and then turned around and gave the same games away. Way to go.

  • Thanks for the great update !!

  • Awesome list of 12 free games to play why you are subscribed to ps plus, I own a couple of them, but I am not going to complain like other ps plus members who bought some of the free games at a playstation plus discounted price which is a perk to being a ps plus member, you buy a ps plus game at a discounted price you still have that game when or if your ps plus subscription runs out, I for one am happy with all of the discounts you get with ps plus, and free games to play why you are subscribed are always great, I been subscribed since shortly after ps plus came out, and I will stay subscribed to it as long as it is around, and I will never complain once, Thank you Sony!

  • Umm Im just curious, inFAMOUS 2 finally dl’d and installed, but when I went to it in the XMB, it said I have a 60 min time limit and it expires on 6/27…I didn’t download the game trial, I downloaded the game from the list of free games in the PS Plus section of the store. Confused…

  • Midnight Oil in Rock Band 3! Harmonix, 21 million Australians salute you! Keep them coming.

  • Holy Moly. I need to buy a new hdd for my ps3. I guess this old 30G has met its match.

  • no free games for PSN userd ;(

  • PS+ content wise i can finally say im finally getting my money worth. its sad that it took this long. i know ill be downloading SR2, Infamous, VF, and other games i dont already own. Aside from that though nothing else much for me. Really sad that even with E3 we have lackluster updates especially for the Vita/psp. Granted i do see the sale on Lego Harry Potter and Final Fantasy complete, had i not own them id get it

Again though nothing new for the Vita/psp especially with the so called update/upgrade on PS+ i would have thought by now you’d give us portable users something. granted some will say the Vita is still new i dont see whats wrong with giving full game trials, dlc, or discounts on Vita games for us PS+ users. If not you had how many years with the Psp content you have? why arent you guys taking advantage with that?

All in all its an ok update if you are a PS+ member. as one ill gladly enjoy the free games given to me. sadly i dont see whats with the wait on PSP/Vita content for PS+ you’d been telling us since before the vita was officially release that there would be vita content on the PS+ but have yet to deliver.

  • Just installed infamous 2 and it says it will expire after 1 hour anyone know why

  • I’ve noticed some of the games say full game and the ones people are having trouble on don’t say full game next to em.

  • you know what sucks, buying a system becasue of what it’s advertised to do…. and then finding it out it can do zero of those features and that everything it was promised is still in development, and the n its even more frustrating when the same word SOON is repeated over and over and over and over again. Please give us some real dates and times of when we can expect vita PSONE support, UMD games on the network, Maybe some firmware updates. Seriously, the government is becoming more reliable than you. At least they kinda sorta try before screwing up the country.

  • “The funds could not be add to your wallet”. Thank you PS! :)

  • New here, and trying to figure it all out. So if I have DLs from before (PS+ freebies) and delete them to make space for these amazing deals, I would be able to DL them again in future once I maintain PS+??? And I don’t have to DL the new deals, once I add them to the DL list, I can DL them whenever, once I’m still PS+???

  • totally EPIC glad my other profile is PLUS :)

  • @176 I’m assuming what your asking is if you can delete PS+ files and download them again later correct as long as PS+ is active. If that is what your asking than yes you should be fine under those conditions unless something has changed since I had it active.

  • I hope that when the PS4 is launched you won’t need to install each title after you download it. This is one thing the 360 does right, you download a demo or game and it’s ready to play. Ratchet and Clank took over an hour just to install.

  • YAY! Vita content.
    Oh! Wait. There is none.

  • EXCELLENT PS+ UPDATE! A TON TO DOWNLOAD! STILL HOPING TO SEE THE PS2 CLASSIC FLATOUT 2 ON HERE SOON! KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK SONY!!

BTW….IF YOU HAVEN`T YET…BAN THAT WHINING OZIUM402 FROM THIS AND ALL BLOGS…IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED BY ALL!!!

  • Nice games dudes … lets play ! :-)

  • Hmmmmm? Don’t know what to say? On the one hand yeah PS+ looks pretty great this month. BUT for guys like me who don’t have it but still want to buy something for a deal, the regular store still seems to kinda get ignored.

I will say that yes, thank you, you have 50% off sales on 2 PSN games this week like I always say you should, (to keep pace with Steam). BUT then its 2 really low reviewed games (I would say “crappy” games), Wake Board HD and Smash Cars (kinda old too)…. really? that’s the sale? And at $4.99 and $7.49 I doubt either will still sell very well. Should have gone 75% off on those. Lara Croft was free to PPS+ members why not make that $4.99, i would have bought it, or Sideway. Heck I’d pick up that Hardcore Uprising for $3-$5. but at least you did have something on sale, I just can’t bring myself to buy it….. Sly being on sale is good though but I wanna buy the disc, (50% off would be better than the 30% you guys like to give), so I guess YOU PASS this week :) – i just want some choice titles on sale next week!

  • As someone who might get PS+ this month, my hard drive is the old 60gb and almost full. So i cant download many of these games, if ANY of the full titles. If you have PS+ though you have to download the games to get them in your membership. So can you go to the store and just click DOWNLOAD AND THE IMMEDIATELY CANCEL THE DOWNLOAD to get it in your que and register it as a download but not actually have to have it install on your HD? Otherwise I doubt i can get these this month :(

  • I just installed Ratchet&Clank and it says I have 60 minutes to play but I did not download the trial.I got it from the plus section of the store. What’s the deal with that?

  • K. I need help here. I downloaded Ratchet, Saint Row 2, Infamous 2 60 minute trial earlier and now I cant get the plus version for those game. I went plus section and download it and I still get the trial version. How can I go download for my plus version and get rid the trial version out of my download menu.

  • what an awesome time to be a PS+ member… my ISP must be hating me right now.

  • squidracerX i fully aggree with your post. im one of them NON plus members. 50% off nottt so good games. maybe next tuesday there will be something worth a purchase.

  • This is one hell of a way to keep your customers happy. Not that I’m complaining or anything. I finally get to play LBP2 among other games. Good job, Sony.

  • @M_NUSone & BT29NO You two need to finish those 60 minute trials before you’re allowed to download the full game. That’s just how it is.

  • Oh,OK.Thanx Squiggle!

  • FUUUUUUUUUUUUU~

MY PSN + JUST RAN OUT TODAY!

  • BLUExEYED-SLICKT

My only complaint on psn is that our download list needs to be overhauled bad. I have near 1000 items in my download list dating back all the way to may 2007 and when I am trying to find a game and its addons its like trying to find a needle in a hay stack. Put a search engine or folders separating all the content in our download list so its fast and easy to find certain things instead of having to spend hours looking for one thing cause we have to scroll through hundreds of items and find it.

  • BLUExEYED-SLICKT

What are you guys doing at Sony on the side of the team that runs and fixes the ps store? You have psn down for a whole day the other day and for what? I mean for what? I was hoping you would be fixing the download list and make it organized for once so its not a task and college test to find a game or add on in our download list but nope we have to scroll through thousands of items to find something which can take hours at times. It pisses ya off. Also its been over 5 years I’ve had ps3 and you guys still haven’t updated the ps3 download a game thing. Why on earth do we have to Install a game after waiting HOURS downloading it? Is that why 360 charges for live? I mean they download a game and its done after that and on top of that they can play anything while its downloading and it stays downloading no matter what. On ps3 if you are downloading stuff you are limited at what you can do cause half the time if you start up a ps3 game while downloading stuff it puts the download in a pending state I mean wtf is that crap. Get these updates out we look 1990’s over here in features compared to Xbox Live and how that system does stuff I mean REALLY guys.

  • @ bluexeyed-slickt

    troll fail.

  • So many free games, as of 11 am CST, My ps3 was still installing them.. Thanks Sony for making my 31st Birthday EPIC, not only for the free games BUT, The Closed BETA for LBP VITA… BTW, that game is beyond epic.. Can’t wait for the Dual screen DLC for LBP2.. That will take that game to a whole new level. I just have to ask, what other company LOVES their customers so much to give away games on this scale?? 70 GB’s of games is kinda ridiculous, but awesome. Just made my ps3 run for 14 hours straight to download and install everything.. thankfully I have a 500 GB HDD. which is more than enough room.. With all my other games I only have 20 GB’s left on my HDD.. But it’s worth it. I have most of my Purchased Movies on VUDU because I don’t want precious HDD space cluttered by movies. I have to say this IS the BEST E3 to date. Just wish I was there for the free year of PLUS..

  • Somebody knows if LBP2 is a trial version too?
