  • nothing this week

  • How come Japan and Europe get literally hundreds of PSone Classics on Vita today, yet we get 9? This is 6 months after launch you guys.

  • Woot! ^_^ Episode 3 here I come. Thank you Sony.

  • woot Mass Effect 3 and The Walking Dead here i come!

  • No price drop for Peace Walker on PSP? It’s still $30 making it $10 more expensive than the HD PS3 version and the online won’t work when transferring it to Vita! This is getting silly.

  • Yes! Episode three.

  • Why are you charging people $15 extra if they wanted to buy the digital versions of Ratchet and Clank? I was looking forward to downloading them today, now I think I have to skip. You guys sure do know how to drive away customers.

  • Walking Deaaddddddd ep.3 !!!!!!!1!! Thanks.

  • Sucks that there’s no Warriors Orochi 3 dlc again…Guess I’ll have to wait another week :/

  • Sweet, already been playing Tony Hawk PS HD for a few hours now. Thanks Sony!

Haha, I love (playing) Going Commando and then Upping my Arsenal! :)

  • Why does Europe get 100 games and we only get 9?

    • We’re working on getting as many PS one classics certified and ready to go and on the PS Vita Store as quickly as possible. I can sympathize, as I can’t wait to play the majority of my collection of classics on my PS Vita, and the team is working hard to get them to you. Thank you for your patience =)

  • Please answer my question, as I can’t find a definitive answer:

I received Episodes 1 & 2 through Playstation Plus, and I want to buy Episode 3 today (and 4 & 5 when they are released).
However, my Plus subscription lapses on October 4th, and I don’t plan on renewing.

I have heard that if I buy 3, 4, & 5 after my PS+ sub has lapsed, I won’t be able to play them, as you need to have Episode 1 downloaded and active for the other episodes to register.

    Is this true?

If so, giving away the first two episodes was a total mistake and a waste of a free PS+ game slot.
I need to know whether or not to spend my money on something that won’t even be playable in a months time.
    Thank you.

    • Hey there,

Because of the way Walking Dead episodes are structured, it’s true that if your subscription runs out you won’t be able to access later episodes of the game, even if you paid for them. Wanted you to be aware before you purchased them.

  • Is Borderlands 2 going to available for purchase from the Playstation store on Sept18? And if so, will it include the bonuses from the “Premier Club”?

  • Thank you again for peace walker on psn. Now sony/konami can you give us MGS1 AND MGS4 PSN AVATARS?

  • What’s the update on GTA3?

  • Umm.. you list a 10% discount for the Ratchet & Clank Trilogy but the actual HD Collection download doesn’t actually appear until Sept 25 according to the post about the collections. Had been wanting to grab this to get the games plus the Sly Cooper demo. Gonna have to go disc now.

    • Yeah, unfortunately the collections were delayed for digital release, and therefore so are the discounts (we removed them from the Plus post).

  • Peace Walker works on Vita … as long as you have a PS3 and transfer it over. It has worked since Vita launched in North America yet for some reason it still isn’t on the Vita store.

  • When does Plus get the increase in save data cloud storage capacity? This feature has been useless to me since it debuted due to the tiny space limit.

  • Before anyone asks, I was referring to the PSP version of Peace Walker on Vita.

  • Ps1 games on my Vita! Good work Grace. Sorry kinda excited tomorrow is my Birthday!

  • Hey look , A free mini! You kids are all right. (well not really, that whole trying to hold back PSOne games for Vita is pretty sleazy.)

Also how bout’ letting us upload Mini And PSOne saves to the cloud and between Ps3 & Vita?

  • LOL @ the PS Plus section… why do I buy this membership? oh wait! I didn’t buy it buy I forgot to turn auto subscription off….

  • Why is there no $29.99 Ratchet and Clank bundle? Just lost a sale.

  • no vita updates? i know we got ps one classics? but no sale on anything vita?

  • Attention Spelunkers!

If any of you plan on purchasing all the Championship DLC, send me a FR if you want to get the group excavation trophies. Be warned though, it’s tough! 10x harder than the standard spelunker (even with 50 lives!) and I’m a vet! Having alot of trouble just on EX 1! :O

Thanks for the update Morgan. It was a big one! :D

    • Hey thanks! All the teams including the PS Store Ops and PS Community Team work hard to get everything that’s been prepped for release on to the Store and updates communicated to you guys.

  • I have found a problem when downloading Syphon Filter onto PS Vita. After selecting download, it takes me to a download list and tells me that it cannot be downloaded onto a PS Vita system. Could you look into this? It let me download Hot Shots Golf 2 and Jet Moto with no problem.

  • Very disappointed customer in SCEA’s PSOne offering for Vita. Take a cue from SCEE and SCEJ to see how it should be done. This piece meal mentality to “give” the illusion of “new” PSOne games each week on Vita is a shame.

    • Rest assured, there’s no marketing ploy here to create an ‘illusion’ of new releases. The quicker we can get as many ps one classics supported on ps vita, the better; so we’re working hard to achieve that. I can see how it’s disappointing though, but I’m sure you’ll see the selection grow before you know it

  • why does play station take untill 7pm eastern time 2 update the shop… i also seen that ps vita had another update.. how come the playstation 3 has not had a update for party… glad 2 see that i can also play ps1 games on my ps vita now… thanks… but still where is the party update for ps3????

  • I can’t believe you guys gave us this amazing update and the bulk of the comments are still people complaining.

For what it’s worth, I’ll throw in my “Woo! Thanks!” :)

  • The Walking Dead – Episode 3: Long Road Ahead… until episode 4 is released.

    ^Full Title

Seriously though, very happy gamer as this and Madden dropped.

Are we gonna get some PS+ love for the Vita soon? (free content)

  • Glad to see Tony Hawk is finally out, but I would have loved to see a PS+ first week discount, and a Vita version.

I’d also love to see Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops on Vita, and I’ll probably keep commenting about it every week until it’s finally available.

  • There are 7 pieces of DLC for Spelunker HD – which cost total more than the game. Sigh.

  • Great update!!infamous collection simply spectacular!

  • Very disappointed about the PS1 Vita update.

Also – I never owned a PSP and bought both the Motorstorm Arctic Edge and Twisted Metal: Head On PSP games from PSN here in the USA way back in January in anticipation of playing it on my “day 1″ vita. Every week since I’ve checked to see if these games have been made compatible yet here in the USA (either through the vita store or transferring via my PS3) and every week I’m let down.
My pals in Europe have been playing Motorstorm Arctic Edge on their Vitas for ages – please rattle the cages of the appropriate parties and make these compatible – We’ve been waiting over 6 months. (and how about the Pac man and Vanguard minis while they are at it)

    – and Nintendo announced that the 3DS can use 128GB SDXC cards. We need bigger cards for our Vitas and more than 100 apps allowed to display.

  • AWESOME update; been waiting this week’s content for ages. Thx!

  • How long will the PS+ discount for the Ratchet collection last?

  • still need ps3 update

  • If we buy the Ratchet & Clank Collection Bundle off PSN, do we get the SLy Cooper demo?

    • Yep, you do get access to the Sly demo, but the Ratchet & Clank Collection won’t be available digitally until 9/25.

  • And nothing for the Vita, i really hope this changes on the next coming weeks.

PsOne support is nice but i, and i’m sure alot of other people, want something new.

  • Europe had MGS1 on sale earlier this month, why can’t we get the same sale?

and what is this? Resident Evil: DC Havie Avatar… Havie?

  • AWESOME Update one of the best in a loong time! Time to get some PSN Cards! :D

  • Um… is there any reason that the ratchet and clank collection games are $15 each? That in the end adds to $45! LOL! At the store its only $30! Sony you are out of your mind lol!

  • I think i speak for a large number of people when i say, that it’s incredible disappointing to see so little support (or care) for us as NA customers with 9 PSOne playable games from the Vita Store. More so when other regions had such a bigger list.

  • Dear SCEA,

    1. You updated some the MSRP for some titles, yet you dont change the prices on your digital side… what gives.
    2. 9 titles for SCEA, over 140 for SCEE, and over 200 for SCEJ… whats wrong with this picture?? fyi… 9 isnt a good chunk if you compare to other regions…
    3. Why do you hate the vita???

i hope you respond on this thread unlike the vita 1.80 post…

    cheers,

    Mauaus

    • 1) were these 1st party titles? We can’t control the pricing of 3rd party content and the digital counterpart, but it’s something we’re looking at closely.
      2) if you look up the word ‘chunk’ you’ll see it actually is a synonym for the number 9. (i’m kidding, as mentioned above, we’re working to get this number increased as quickly as possible)
      3) we love the vita! there’s much to look forward to and you’ll be glad to be one of the early adopters when it’s all said and done.

  • For everyone complaining about PSone games on SCEE and SCEJ:

All you have to do to get around Sony’s short list of PSone games is download any PSone classic to your PS3 and then transfer it to your Vita. I did this last night and it even worked with my Japan imports of Rockman 1 2 and 3. I tested them all and they work fine.

  • I know you guys removed them, but I saw that the Ratchet, inFAMOUS, and GOW collections are all going to be 10% off with Plus! That’s awesome! Is it going to be that price come Sept 25th when they actually launch!?
(I know you guys put it in this update by mistake)

  • Months ago we were advised to pre-order the Ratchet & Clank trilogy because NA customers would get a special treat/bonus for waiting three months after the EU got it.

Well, the special treat turned out to be a Sly 4 demo that comes in every new copy (i.e., not a pre-order bonus), and now I could have saved $3 plus sales tax had I not pre-ordered at Amazon and bought it today with a Plus discount (not to mention I wouldn’t have had to wait for it to ship).

Sony, please do not make promises you don’t intend to keep (or don’t know if you can keep).

  • I also used my PS3 to get these PSone games on my Vita:

    FFIX
    Castlevania Symphony of the Night
    Castlevania Chronicles
    Metal Gear Solid
    Final Fantasy Origins

  • Ratchet and Clank trilogy should be cheaper than the retail version, if not then AT LEAST the same price, not MORE! this is ridiculous, there’s no middleman, no logistics, no physical product, yet it costs MORE?! it should cost even less than half! Buying elsewhere.

  • So, the collection bundles that were listed not even five minutes ago.. is it safe to assume that was some misinformation someone told you? That’s depressing, I guess I’ll have to hold out buying Ratchet and Clank until I can get to BestBuy, it’s not worth an extra $15, no matter how much I love the games.
