For the past two months, PlayStation Plus members have received a couple games free the day they hit the PlayStation Store, and this time we’re besting ourselves by offering three! Yep, this month Dust: An Elysian Tail (PS4), Spelunky (PS4) and Pix the Cat (PS Vita) will debut on the Store as well as in PlayStation Plus. On top of that, there’s a special bonus this month – members get DriveClub PlayStation Plus Edition (if you want to upgrade to the regular retail version you can for $49.99), which gives them access to 11 tracks, 10 cars and all the game modes. Finally, members will receive the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum as well as Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara and Rainbow Moon.
PS4 owners can check out the Metroidvania-inspired Dust: An Elysian Tail, as well as the hit platformer Spelunky — which also entitles you to the PS3 and PS Vita versions. On PS3, our members can see where the Arkham franchise started with Batman: Arkham Asylum, as well as enjoy a bundle of classic arcade Dungeons & Dragons games with Chronicles of Mystara. cool. my ps3 is dead now, only ps4 and vita, but these look good. i got rainbow moon during a sale earlier this year and it’s good. but for driveclub, will it install the game completely(in terms of size) so that if i like it i can purchase the game and not have to download again??
I used to be dissapointed for the games for PS 4, but this month is awesome.
Dust: An Elysian Tail looks really nice and will probably fit my family perfectly.
DriveClub also looks nice. I just hope I love the way you control the car. So you get the right feeling.
For PS 3, it wasn’t so great games for my kids. I’m not sure how you guys thinked there. My kids 5,6 and 9 years old won’t play any of the PS 3 games. That was a huge minus.
I only have a vita, already have rainbow moon and don’t care about the “cat” game….so a really sad month of plus to me. Only 2 games? Not worth it this month at all. Hoping for minecraft soon…

I have a great idea for all of the complainers. Stop using Plus. Instead, take five dollars a month and go find six different games to purchase and play as much as you like, using only that five dollars. I’m sure you will be much happier.

Wow another disappointing month… why do we pay for Playstation plus again? Cause since the PS4 came out, you guys havent had 1 good free game yet for ps plus members. Its a PS4!!! Try having something more than 32 bit graphics for a change.
Is this the same program that gave me Bioshock Infinite and DMC the same month? It sure doesn’t seem like it.
I obviously don’t expect Bioshock and DMC level games every month, but seriously, each month seems getting worse. Rule of thumb: if all of the sudden Games for Gold seems to have better games than you, it’s time to evaluate your offerings.

I have had a membership on ps plus for close to 2 years and for the most part it is 100% worth especially when you buy the ps plus cards on Black Friday for a large discount. I don’t have a PS4 so I can’t comment on those games. I know Arkham Aslylum was a great game, but come on it’s few years old at this point. Generally there is a good game each month for the PS3. Most Vita games are decent I rarely buy Vita games thanks to PS Plus. I was thinking maybe they could offer a choice each month for a few of the games. They would say you can either download title a or title b for free. Have them be from different categories. If the person wants both offer a huge discount on the one they didn’t pick for free. It would be pretty awesome if they would have voting like Steam has during their sales. In general I’m happy with the membership, and once I get a PS4 in the upcoming months I will be even happier.
Ya the only reason people whine about it, is cause we are loyal PS customers who spend millions of dollars every year on Memberships, ridiculous game costs, and ridiculous accessory prices. 80 bucks for a new controller?!?! Why dont I just bend over and take it dry? Enough with the horrible indie games! The only reason why they keep comin out with them is cause you 8 year olds keep downloading them! I might just go back to xbox cause this is getting old.

Oh yea xbox live I paid for 8 plus years, and never got a thing for free. I know now they are starting to offer some stuff, but I had a live account since the original xbox. After burning through 3 xbox 360’s I gave up on them. I will end up owning a ps4 and an xbox one anyway.

Im with alot of the others when they say disappointed. It seems everytime these game decisions are made they are actively trying to give a middle finger to ps4 owners. I get that sony is trying to support the people who have ps3s and not leave em in the dark due to the larger player base…i get it… but sony is cutting off their nose to spite the face when they dont throw a bone to ps4 users who have since day one supported their system.
Why cant ps4 also enjoy arkham asylum? I mean if its an issue of no backwards compatability make it available on psnow. Id happily plunk the money down to rent it. Instead we keep getting these weird indie games that couldve easily been done on ps1. I bought a ps4 to enjoy the cutting edge of gaming not the mid 80’s of it.
Obviously, no one can please everyone all the time. And I’m glad someone somewhere is getting some satisfaction out of the lineup, but as for me – I’m sorry. Month after month as been crap. Another indie platformer. Another indie platformer. Another indie platformer. Snooze. And Batman AA is lame even by Sony standards. I’m not suggesting games have to be 2 months old, but really, this is almost insulting. A bad month or two is no big deal, but when it’s months after months, then the Plus price tag starts to look like a mistake.
1. I’m sure it seems like it, but Batman: Arkham Asylum has never been in the IGC in NA or EU before October 2014. If someone can show me it has, I’ll come back and admit to being wrong.
2. Nothing good actually comes out of whining about “whining”. “Whining” is actually a good and proper use of this comments section. For example, I may not agree with Cradda’s message or his delivery. But he and everyone else are here to offer their point of view. While I realize that my own post falls into the same category, I really wish folks would say what they like/dislike and stop being so reactive to what others have said.
3. I probably won’t play any of this month’s offerings (no PS4 or Vita; have Batman: AA on disc and the others don’t appeal to me), but that’s okay.
hey sony, GIVE US A GOOD PS4 GAME! i love dust, dont misunderstand me. but since i got my ps4 along with my ps+ membership i’ve been getting so many indie games everyone who sees my playstation asks why i didn’t get them for ps vita instead. honestly, these games are fit for smartphones and psp/ps vita. PLEASE give us AC4 at least. it feels like i paid for iphone apps to be installed on my ps4.

This got to be the worst PS3 line-up. Batman Arkham Asylum is a very very bad choice, probably almost everyone owns it on either PC or PS3 or is simply not interested.

Hahaha. Just wildly wrong. Sleeping Dogs was free on Plus eight months before it was on Games With Gold. Saints Row 3 was free on Plus 11 months before it was on Games With Gold. And sorry to hear that Sony didn’t give you any free Halo games. So selfish of them.
I really enjoyed Arkham City, and got pumped for Arkham Knight next year, so thank you for offering the game where it all started!

As for Driveclub, it’s 11 months late. Before the PS4 launch we were promised a version of Driveclub in which a platinum trophy could be obtained. I guess that was just fluff… What a let down Sony!

@Cradda You’re referring to the freeware classic version of the game. It’s not the same. And you probably won’t except this but an indy developed game is not automatically crap. You may not like this type of game being a regular addition but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t even try the games. I already own Spelunky and I’m not even mad that it’s in the igc. Hopefully more people will try it and grow to like it because it is a great game!

I have a PS4 and have been pretty disappointed with the quality of games in general. I play BF4 and NBA2K exclusively because there really isn’t much else out there yet. I was really hoping for a great RPG, free or otherwise, but have to wait until November for that. Seems like PS3 still gets the best free games every month. Please cut back on the free indie titles, I have only enjoyed Dead Nation so far and have been disappointed with the rest, sadly. You have a quality machine so show us what she can do! I’m not canceling my subscription or hating on my PS4, I just think you can do better.
The PSN version of The Driver’s Club is actually a demo that is geared towards having us spend $50 more dollars after we are potentially hooked on the game. That is fine, but I am hoping that we actually get full versions of AAA titles in the future and not just clever attempts to get more money. You WILL get my money Sony, it’s just a matter of how fast you can release titles that can contend with the previous generation’s library. I want to buy as many games as possible but as of this year, have only found two worthy of my time. Excited about the new Dragon Age!

I would be upset these past two months if this was the value I was getting after paying 50$ for plus. Fortunately I get my plus cards at 30$ maximum during black friday week. I’d say the current value for this indie stuff and arkham asylum…… is just right at $2.50 a month. Hoping for a better batch next month.
