Hello again, everyone!

It feels like I was just here with another big announcement from our studio, but now that E3 is behind us I’m back to remind you all about Lumines Remastered, our beloved musical puzzler, which will be shinin’ its way onto PS4 starting on June 26th — just in time to kick off the summer.

And what better way to celebrate than with FREE STUFF! (Well, free for those who buy the game, at least.)

I’m happy to announce today that anyone who purchases Lumines Remastered on PS4 for the first two weeks (from launch through July 9th) will get our Digital Deluxe DLC bundle absolutely free! That’s five Lumines-themed PS4 avatars, a groovy Lumines “Block Droppin’ Beats” PS4 Dynamic Theme, and a whopping 20-song soundtrack sampler, all for free! (After that it’ll be sold separately.)

Wanna see all what you’d be getting? First up, here’s a peek at our Dynamic Theme (courtesy of our friends at Truant Pixel who were also responsible for all of our super-popular Rez Infinite dynamic themes!)

Next up, the soundtrack — a collection of .mp3 audio files you can copy to a USB drive and use wherever and however you like! While we couldn’t fit them all in (every single song from the original game is included in Lumines Remastered, after all!), we did manage to include quite a few favorites:

And of course your five PlayStation Network avatars — these pretty much speak for themselves:

So? Are we making the decision to pick up Lumines Remastered starting on June 26th any easier? I hope so, but let us know what you think in the comments below!

Oh, and one more thing before I go; in case you haven’t heard, a special Trance Vibration feature will also be included in Lumines Remastered!

Lumines Remastered

This is basically a super-rumble mode, not included in the original game, that can have up to three extra controllers shakin’ along to the game and / or the music (you can set it up just how you like in the Options menu). Let us know which skins, play modes and vibration settings you’re looking forward to in the comments, and we hope you’ll check out Lumines Remastered starting next week!

We currently do not have plans for a physical release, so we hope you’ll take advantage of this 2-week launch promotion!

Looks like it drops with next week’s Store update; June 26th. So excited!

  • Hi, can you confirm the song list? I really want to buy this game but if there’s no GENKI Rockets songs I will pass.

    Thanks!

Thank you for being a fan of Genki Rockets! LUMINES REMASTERED is a remastered version of the original LUMINES and does not include skins/tracks from the other LUMINES games. The original was released before we debuted Genki Rockets so unfortunately they will not be included. We hope you will still have a chance to check out LUMINES REMASTERED!

Is Genki Rockets “Heavenly Star” track coming back?! PLEASE tell me it is! That was the BEST Lumines track ever!!

    • ElektroDragon

The Genki Rockets song above literally helped me survive Norovirus when I thought I was going to die!!!

Thank you for being a fan of Genki Rockets! Heavenly Star remains to be one of my favorite songs as well, so thank you for listening! I had Lumines when it first came out on PSP so as far as I’m concerned it’s a portable game first. I’d rather get this on the Switch where I can play it on the go OR play it on a big screen rather than have it permanently locked behind a less portable console. Theme looks nice though — but I imagine the looping music would get irksome after a while (the same issue I had with the Wipeout Omega Collection dynamic theme).

Such a shame you’ve abandoned the VITA because this would have been a perfect addition to the VITA’s library.

  • Im there day 1 reguardless of the extras. I loved the game the first time I played it.

  • For any non retail games, I wish pricing was automatic on these posts.

LUMINES REMASTERED will be available next Tuesday, June 26 @ US $14.99. We hope you’ll take advantage of the 2-week special launch bundle promotion to get all of the digital goodies above!

This might seem like an odd request, but… Could we even get a sequel to Electronic Symphony? There are still so many great important music acts that could be in a Lumines game!

We agree — the list of artists/songs we think would work well with a LUMINES game is not short. We currently don’t have any plans for a sequel to Electronic Symphony but DO hope you will have a chance to check out LUMINES REMASTERED!

    EVERY EXTEND EXTRA?! PLEASE!!!

:D :D :D I have so many great memories of the Every Extend series too!

  • That’s a sweet pack o’ goodies! Lumines is a great enough game that it practically sells itself on reputation alone, but I’m grateful that you went the extra mile to reward early purchasers.

Thank you for bringing this classic to PS4. I hope that it is successful in attracting a great number of new players as well.

:D Thanks for the love! We do hope this game finds a new audience and look forward to your impressions!

How many players will the PS4 version support?

  • SaintValtiel

$15??? I´m sooo getting this! I love this games, Child of Eden an Rez as well, I still play them! My stress reliever! Looking forward for Tetris Effect!

  • humberto_ugalde

I’d still hope for a physical release but with more Mizoguchi games popping up left and right on new hardware maybe we’ll get that Child of Eden port I’ve been dying to get on PS4.

Also, considering how they made a big deal that this game was coming you’d think they’d let you pre-order it by now.

PS: If this works out well and we get Lumines 2 how about hooking us up with that song by Star Casino?

  • I’ve been waiting for Lumines for PS4 since the day I bought the console! I call my PS Vita a “Lumines Playing Machine” (Lumines is the reason why I bought it!). I’m looking forward to play Tetris Effect too :-).

Tetsuya Mizuguchi 様: please remaster all skins (from all LUMINES games)!!! :-)

  • Tails_And_Cream

Lumines is so important to me. I will gladly pay the 14.99 for the remaster of a game that changed my life for the better. My only regret is that they are not charging more so I could happily pay it. Thanks for everything guys keep up the great work and here’s to the future, Good luck!

  • every song?! is ‘eri nobuchika – lights’ in?

  • ShinySilvery

You ask us to be respectful in the comments. So can I respectfully request that vital information about the release of a game be stated somewhere obvious? Like, oh I don’t know… wherher a game wil be released in digital only format? Instead of just mentioning that buried away in a Q&A in the comments section! I’m waiting to see how many reviewers will kindly mention that there is no physical version of this game… Here’s an idea: How about an industry standard symbol, so the consumer can be informed of choices? We are in the 21st century and I sometimes despair at the lack of information provided nowadays to the consumer in this industry!

  • I purchased the bundle but the soundtrack doesn’t work? Says no files were found in /MUSIC and to close the application…
