  • I hope those aren’t all the discounts was hoping that there would be some worthwhile PS Vita games on discount even if its not as high as 50%.

  • @KidCommando

Actually, they are comparable services. Let’s look at what they have in common:

    – They are all services offered by Sony for PS3 and Vita
    – They all have automatic updates
    – They all have Cloud Saves
    – They all have discount promotions
    – They all offer free games to subscribers

Now let’s look at what’s different:

    – They all differ by geographic region.

Considering that this is the only difference, your entire argument hinges on the fact that the difference in your geographic location actually nullifies any comparison you may have despite the similarity in services offered, the fact that it’s the same parent company offering these services and even the fact that same name used for the service in all localities. I think that makes it a weak argument.

Anyway, more importantly, what’s it to you if people compare the two? Did your day get ruined? Is it messing with your enjoyment of the internets? I can’t tell why you’re getting upset by others’ posts, especially when you have no logic to back up your own.

  • Wow PS3 owners complaining that they “don’t get anything” now? And people comparing EU to NA Plus again? I’m not sure why they’re even expecting the same things. I don’t recall NA or EU ever getting the exact same content, so I don’t see how this is so surprising.

  • @Dan_dannunzio

LMAO…ummm, that’s exactly what they’re doing! Kind of like when they cater to just PS3 users the other weeks. Morgan has been clear in saying that PS3 content will likely come at the beginning of the month, and Vita content at the end of the month. Apparently, you didn’t get that memo. And you “don’t think it’s exactly fair” that they give out Vita specific content? Dude, get a Vita if you want to take advantage of the free content offered by Plus every week, but don’t bag on Sony for catering to all of its gaming customers.

  • We want Sleeping Dogs to!

    Copy/Paste everyone!

  • Awesome! I was considering to buy NG Sigma+ the other day. I loved the original game.

Also, 3 months free with the 1-year subscription? Great deal.

It looks that PS+ will backlog me to hell during 2013, as it did during 2012.

I need a long, long vacation.

  • I wish all the people crying about the European store would pack their bags and move to Europe!!!!!

Europe gets better stuff than us becasue they don’t have all the ridiculous trade laws that USA has. Example of this how many different color game systems do we get compared to Asia and Europe the reason for this is the US Customs does not allow it.

P.S. Thank You Sonny for what you can do with PS + in the USA PSN Store. I I just can’t find any reasons to cry about all the free games I have got!!!

  • Amazing update. thanks.

  • @Milagres_

Ummmm…were you getting a free PS3 game from Plus every single week before they added Vita to the IGC? Absolutely not, and you know that! So how on earth is Sony offering NGS+ to Vita owners affecting Plus’ PS3 offerings?! Even if there was no Vita IGC, PS3 owners would not be getting a free game every single week…didn’t happen before Nov. 2012…not happening now.

  • @KidCommando
“If you want what EU gets, then get an EU Plus subscription.”

Everybody says that, ok, and if I change? I will lose ALL my Plus games.
Its ok be diferent, but is not only it, while Europeans receive good games like Red Dead, Crysis 2, Motorstorm, Deux Ex, Dead Space 2, Bulletstorm, Batman AC, Mortal Kombat, Vanquish, and a lot of others, Americans receive: SSF IV (ok, one good), Mega Man 9, Mega Man 10, Rochard, Sonic, Hard Corps, Choplifter…

If I could change my account to Europe, I would, but I could not, so I will lost my time texting it, even knowing that Haro never read my comments.

And thanks, this update will be good. Will be better if they give us one great game like Ninja Gaiden than if they give us two games like Choronovolt ou foosball 2012.

  • OMG ! REALLY ! YOU GAS PEOPLE WITH A PLUS DEAL AND THEN YOU THROW A BONE TO THE SOON TO DIE OUT VITA THE SUPPIRT FOR THE SYSTEM IS A JOKE I PLAY PS3 ON A 60 in. screen w/7.1 surround the way games should be enjoyed and ninja gaiden sigma goes to vita and us ps3 owners who out weigh them get some garbage discounts atleast you should of given us sigma also wtf EU GETTING SLEEPING DOGS !! WHAT THE FRAK IS THAT CRAP AFTER CRAP GET A CLUE REALLY I CANT BELIEVE IT !BETTER DEALS OR BETTER GAMES THE FLAGSHIP CONSOLE AND PLUS JUST GETS BURNED IN AMERICA WOW !!!!!

  • Thanks a lot for this great game-

Please give us Sleeping Dogs too!!!!!!

  • I read these comments every update and notice the same complaining. If you are that worried about what the grass is like on the other side of the fence then go to it. I, for one, have both accounts. I have PS+ for EU and US and it’s like Christmas for me, everyweek. We’re not talking about a ton of money that needs to be spent, $100 dollars a YEAR and you get the best of both worlds. Just thought I would throw it out there for everyone that is always complaining. There ARE options. Enjoy. I know that I will enjoy my Sleeping Dogs and whatever game US comes out with come the first.

  • Ninja Gaiden is a great surprise XD

  • shift* sorry lol

  • This is great, but I still envy the european updates. I was hoping for Escape Plan on the Vita side, but Ninja Gaiden is enough to satisfy me for a while.

I hope Sleeping Dogs is free for US Plus subscribers on the next week.

  • Ninja Gaiden is a great surprise XD but we wanna too sleeping dogs and batman AC.

  • For those complaining about Europe, make a European account. Create another user on your PS3 and make that PSN account set to a European country to get a European account. There, problem solved.

  • @WAR1965

It’d be easier to understand your rant if you laid of the CAPSLOCK…and used punctuation every once and a while. I knew you were mad based on some key words used (i.e., “JOKE,” “GARBAGE,” “CRAP”), but otherwise, your “statement” was unintelligible.

  • Glad I just got a vita! Any chance we can get some racing games I can’t remember the last time one was offered maybe shift 2. Anything psn or retail.

  • @ MatheusRuggeri you’re upset that you’ll lose all your plus games if you switch to EU Plus, but then claim that NA Plus only has 1 good game? If that’s the case, you shouldn’t be that upset lol

  • @FMF Wipeout 2048 is a Free racer for the Vita Plus service.

  • Ninja Gaiden Sigma!? Now we came back to business! :)
Congratulations, Sony! Having Gravity Rush, Uncharted, Wipeout, Ninja Gaiden Sigma and many others absolutely free for Playstation Plus subscribers for sure makes the Vita itself more attracting to new customers! :)

  • Nice Update. (I’m one of the few who doesn’t complain all the dang time.) Thx.

  • Well it’s a lot better than Foosball and Chronovolt but unfortunately I had this on D1 so nothing for me once again.

  • @ZaGe-zAiKaNo I more so talking about ps3.

  • what? ooh vamos, no puede ser que aquí en América nos den unos juegos mediocres la verdad .___. cuando en Europa se llevan grandes títulos, por que demonios pasa esto?
    ———————————-
what? ooh we can not be that here in America give us the truth about mediocre games .___. when Europe have great titles, why the hell is this?

  • not to bad sony. il be getting Greed Corp and i been wanting Gatling Gears for a long time now. reminds me alot of renegade ops. now is the perfect time. thanks.

  • Nothing for me here… I would like to see discounts (30% or more) on psn games this month, Journey, I am Alive and Costume Quest would be higly appreciated.
Oh, and any chance Catherine get a price drop? It has been free for Plus, but I didn’t had my PS3 back at that time. >:
Also, you should look to @terminode/49 suggestion, it’s great.

  • @BlueBl1zzard, @bldudas

Very simple question for you both, and anyone else who thinks that people should be happy with what they get:

Do you believe that the collective value of EU updates is equivalent to the collective value of NA updates, even taking subscription cost ratio into account?

It’s a yes or no question. Try and answer Yes with details as to how. I’d really really like to be like you guys and feel that I should not complain. Because right now, as a consumer, I feel it’s my right to ensure that my investment gets me the same net value as the investments my friends across the pond have made.

  • @ FMF LBP Karting is 10.00$ for Plus service, not a bad deal for a racer. just saying.

  • Thanks for showing the PS Vita some love, can’t wait to download this bad boy tomorrow.

  • @ likeanobody Journey & I AM ALIVE had a price drop of 7.45$ i think? during Xmas sale.

  • Hey Morgan, don’t know if you’re the one to ask, but since the 1 year anniversary of the vita launch is coming up Feb. 22, do you guys plan on doing something special (like a sale maybe)? Pretty please?

  • Man I wish the US got sleeping dogs!!!! Please give the US sleeping dogs next month.

  • Morgan,

Really great update! Not only am I downloading Ninja Gaiden, I’ll also be buying Gatling Gears and Greed Corp. I’ll have to think about Prejudice. I’m not sure. Being honest, though, I really do enjoy the deals Playstation is running this week and ran last week. $2.50 doesn’t break the bank, and the games you are offering are really good.

And to everyone complaining that PS3 didn’t get any love, the discounts are the love. Having been a day one subscriber, these are really good discounts on really awesome games! If you don’t like the discounts, wait till next week.

  • sleeping dogs & catherine !!!! Please give the US sleeping dogs next month.

  • I SWEAR I WAS GONNA BUY SIGMA PLUS FOR VITA AT LAUNCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Morgan
I still prefer my updates weekly and a surprise every Monday, but even I have to admit that a monthly update may help with weeding out the young people from this blog that still don’t comprehend the differences between EU’s and US’s schedule. Now there are also seemingly-mature and rational-minded people with reasons like wanting to know what will be on sale or free a few weeks from now so they don’t buy it, but there is a mind-boggling amount of complainers that are likely merely fueled by our weekly updates and their inability to add up all of the weeks into a complete month to compare it to EU’s games.

  • but i dont see how we didnt get sleeping dogs….didnt that game just recently come out????

  • I could have saved 40 dollars!!! I did even finish the game because Chapter 18 is gaaaaaaaay! Thanks though sony, some people will love it.

  • @JoeGoodsnake LOL do u seriously expect them to answer, when they obviously dont know whats going on in US plus board rooms?

  • jumping on those madden deals. probablly stick with the vita version

  • Thanks for the update, nice to have a new Vita game for the road! Can’t wait for tomorrow! :3

  • Another Vitagame I don’t have. I won’t have to buy many games for a while if this keeps up. I already have a huge backlog of free games to play. Not that I’m complaining. :)

  • I’m thinking we are getting journey free in feb. Morgan gave us a hint in his reply to question 20.

  • @BrianC6234 Dude, u are the one complaining abt not getting vita games, last week.

  • + BlueBl1zzard on January 28th, 2013 at 11:06 am said:

I do not listed good games, I listed exclusive good games, ex: Mortal Kombat only was released in Europe Plus, and SSF IV only in USA Plus.

  • Finally I have been looking for a reason to pick back up my vita… Now can we please work on getting some ps2 classics to work on the vita!

  • I think it is fine that you want to promote the Vita and I think it is good you are providing free content for it. However, as a PS3 user, I am paying for the plus account for the PS3 and it would be nice to provide something free for the PS3 each week. I feel that the PS3 users have been neglected with a lack of content and/or old content. In addition, It seems that the EU users are getting better products than the rest of us and it would be nice if your loyal North American customers get taken care of as well. It is my hope that some improvements will be coming soon.
